A Tipsy Tenth Dining Adventure - Completed 9/28

Probably not as mighty as the word would imply, but I figured I'd channel my inner Irishwoman just for you :shamrock:

I'm honoured!:shamrock:

Don't tell Casey but I wouldn't ride it if I wasn't pressuring her to do so. Its definitely not my favorite.

Your secret is safe with me!

I so should have said something so they could have hooked a girl up too! Though I gotta say I'm shocked that you ate at Raglan of all places! I mean aren't you eating fish and chips for like every meal at home :earboy2:

Absolutely! Fish and chips for breakfast, lunch and dinner!::yes:::rotfl:

I'd asked for the main room on our last trip when we waited close to an hour so I made no requests this time, so that wasn't an excuse. I think they just jam in reservations knowing they could never stick to reservation times.

It really puts me off ever returning plus the food is a bit hit and miss into the bargain (definitely think Jason got a kids meal btw) and no amount of diddle-de-dee music makes up for that!!:charac2:

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:If those are Granny's mammy's dishes then those are REALLY old!

Exactly!!!!!!!

That is perfect. I'll look to book Raglan Road and we can all partake there :drinking1

Ya see! I'm full of good ideas and I guarantee the craic will be mighty this time!:dancer::drinking1:jumping1:

If Hula Hoop Bob ever makes it to Raglan he better stop now cause that is gonna be one S-L-O-W trip!!!
:rotfl::rotfl:

Between the weather and the course Jason was ready to end it all.
That's too funny!
Word of advice, do not stay at an MK area hotel when they are racing through Magic Kingdom.
Thanks for the tip!
Meet the Grand Floridians Chipotle Bloody Mary – or Bloody Kari as they are affectionately known in our house – with House-made Chipotle-infused Vodka, and garnished with Jumbo Shrimp, Chorizo, and a Lime-Salted Rim. We may or may not have gone through a few of these during brunch.
The Bloody Kari looks delicious, I could use one right about now.

I didn’t ask but I’m gonna guess it tastes exactly like a mouse shaped waffle should.
Then we did the 2.3 attractions in the park before Casey conquered Rockin’ Roller Coaster for the first time.
Way to go Casey! We LOVE RnR.
Don’t think we’ll be back again anytime soon, but with our tables in wonderland card we did save $30.80.
The entire experience sounds disappointing.

At least the rest of the day did not disappoint.

And then paid homage to Casey's once favorite ride.

That's an impressive handstand, does she do gymnastics? I apologize if you've already answered this question, my limited time right now prevents me from reading all the comments.

Then we did the 2.3 attractions in the park before Casey conquered Rockin’ Roller Coaster for the first time.

She is brave, that rollercoaster scares the bejeezus out of me, if I'm honest.

Our favorites were a bunch of millennials who were having their very own Tyra Banks moment

I think you caught one in the background of your photo...

Why were they lying on the ground? Like doing sexy poses or something???

Before leaving, R2D2 somehow (aka 2 beers) got me on Tower of Terror which as someone with a fear of heights is just about my worst nightmare.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of the Tower either. Never have been really, sometimes force myself to go on it but it's just too scary.

This is Georges Bank scallops in a golden batter served with citrus lime dipping sauce and sweet chili jam and hands down one of the best things I ate all week.

I've been eyeing those for awhile now and just haven't made it back to RR. Good to know they're all I've imagined, maybe will try to make it there for lunch sometime when it's not so busy.

Great update, enjoyed the tipsy notes as always!

I wouldn't want it any other way 👩‍❤️‍💋‍👩
Yes cause what ya need in life is a friend who now has this 💩 intermingled with you:earboy2:

Wow Jason's Fish & Chip portion is just sad. I think my portion next door at Cooke's may have been larger, definitely not smaller. We had a so-so dinner experience there several years ago. DH even said so & he is more laid back than me when it comes to restaurants.
If we ever go back it'll be for lunch or brunch.
Cookes is probably the way to go. I looked it up online and its half as much for the same amount and I'm guessing its the exact same thing. But of course I was paying for the luxury of waiting 45 minutes to be seated too

I reconize that shirt!
I wonder where I got the idea for it :confused3 We'll have to conspire to have the girls where them on the same day!

I don't get the picture thing at all. We saw a group of teens playing that stupid flip the water bottle game in the middle of Magic Kingdom one night. It was strange.
I guess one day they will look back and see their photo sessions and water bottles games like we see rolled jeans and leg warmers :earboy2:

I don't know. I have only ridden this once, cause Morgan refuses to ride it. And how are you and @ariane37 friends?
Only because there is a level of alcohol that makes me forget I hate that dang ride :drinking1

I do love me a tart beer!
Drive down south! Jason is currently brewing a tart strawberry gose

Loving your tipsy notes as usual! I quite enjoy translating myself before looking to your own translations for confirmation (or not )
I should totally play guess that translation on my next set of tipsy notes!

Absolutely! Fish and chips for breakfast, lunch and dinner!::yes:::rotfl:
Don't forget brunch, linner, and midnight snacks!

It really puts me off ever returning plus the food is a bit hit and miss into the bargain (definitely think Jason got a kids meal btw) and no amount of diddle-de-dee music makes up for that!!:charac2:
Jason and D both got the fish and chips and they were the same size and ever so slightly bigger than Casey's so clearly it was an "adult" meal. Though now I think our meal was worth it as you just gave me a new vocabulary word. Diddle-de-dee to you!

Ya see! I'm full of good ideas and I guarantee the craic will be mighty this time!:dancer::drinking1:jumping1:
No way it couldn't be!

The Bloody Kari looks delicious, I could use one right about now.
I could use one right about always!

The entire experience sounds disappointing.

At least the rest of the day did not disappoint.
It was disappointing, especially after such a long day for the runners, but we enjoyed ourselves regardless of what the Raglan tiny fish and long waits tried to do to us

those truffle fries looked good and I usually love ordering them. But then read your description and it made me sad. No good.
Maybe they were out of truffle oil or something :confused3 Also I know is there was no semblance of truffle in there

That's an impressive handstand, does she do gymnastics? I apologize if you've already answered this question, my limited time right now prevents me from reading all the comments.
She does. She has all of my grace and balance, but still she does really well at it. And next time please read all of the comments so you can be up to speed on all of my kids extracurricular activities :earboy2:

She is brave, that rollercoaster scares the bejeezus out of me, if I'm honest.
Me and you both. Think we are definitely going to skip it next time.

Why were they lying on the ground? Like doing sexy poses or something???
Sexy, artistic, not sure there was a difference to them :confused3

I've been eyeing those for awhile now and just haven't made it back to RR. Good to know they're all I've imagined, maybe will try to make it there for lunch sometime when it's not so busy.
They were pretty amazing. I keep thinking about how I can get them without actually having to wait for a table!

Though now I think our meal was worth it as you just gave me a new vocabulary word. Diddle-de-dee to you!

Just to be honest- it may only be the people in my family/friends that call it diddle-de-dee music (listen to it long enough (really meaning when you’ve drunk enough) and you will sing along using those words and only those words lol). Others may call it “traditional” or “trad” music but I’m more a U2/Van Morrison kinda girl :)
They were pretty amazing. I keep thinking about how I can get them without actually having to wait for a table!
Visit Belfast! Plenty of fancy smancy places to get them here and just a couple (or several thousand ) pubs plus I can bring you all to a decent chippy and show Jason what a real fish supper looks like!:rotfl2:

Ugh. I love Raglan but your experience sounds like a let down. Thank goodness for beer! Your expressions on RnR are priceless!!!!!

Def! I might need to find a shirt for Morgan that has her rolling her eyes at them or something.
That would be perfect!

Well then I'll just become a member of the family :P

Tomorrow too soon?

Ugh. I love Raglan but your experience sounds like a let down. Thank goodness for beer! Your expressions on RnR are priceless!!!!!
Yes beer does seem to cure all. And wine. And vodka. And and And and And....

I like to wait until I get a full month behind before a nice binge catchup...

Happy mother’s day 8-)

Jason olsnelwphanf foot bear

Clearly Jason had an old elephant foot beer, because who doesn’t want their IPA with a little old elephant foot or olsnelwphanf bear on the side
I mean, clearly that olsnelwphanf bear on his shirt was in keeping with the theme!

butter shock potshots
I drink drink I do
Together I think you have the makings of the next Migos single...

Sanaa never fails to please. Looks like an awesome dining experience and now I am hungry!

Oooh you guys ate at so many of my favorites! Of course I’d never race but the post race brunch looks great.

Someone was apparently feeling left out of all the photos today and had to make sure you knew she was still here

Silly girl, didn’t she know her very skilled mother could have photoshopped her in?

The chipotle added some nice smokiness and head and I loved the addition of the shrimp
At first I was like “excuse me?!” but now I get it :rotfl: though at first I thought it wasn’t a typo and you had a verrryy spicy bloody.

I am admittedly prejudiced against Raglan Road after my sister got food poisoning there once but that meal looks like a big miss. Other than @amalone1013’s fancy corn dogs I haven’t had anything that called me back.

Our favorites were a bunch of millennials who were having their very own Tyra Banks moment with at least 15 minutes of constant photos including the coveted laying on the dirty disgusting ground shots. This generation I do not get says the old lady

Ewwww groossss (and I’m a real millennial - we were born mostly in the 80s and early 90s... the hallmark of a millennial is that you were old enough to remember the year 2000. Most of these post-millennial whippersnappers doing dumb crap like laying in the street for photos are giving us old lady millennials a bad rap)

We had reservations at Raglan Road but despite this waited 45 minutes for a table! This was our second time eating here and the same thing happened the first time around so I’m sensing a pattern. So what are girls to do when faced with a long wait? Drink of course

Seems like a genius plan to sell more beer! Your photo confirms smithwicks... or maybe a very tainted cider!

From my notes she liked this and ate all the fish before the chips but “didn’t fonsihb”???? I got nothing
Ha, my tipsy translator skills suggest maybe she didn’t finish her fries??? (From one lush to another we speak the same language)

Aaaand all caught up! See you in July :p

Festival of the FArts

Everyone slept in the next day after so many early mornings and sadly it was time to bid R2D2 goodbye. We really do enjoy having friends and family join us in the world, but also like to have a few days to ourselves so I don’t feel responsible for everyone’s fun (or not). I could clearly care less if my brood has fun or not.:earboy2:

Eventually we hiked over to the Poly to catch the monorail at the ticket and transportation center to Epcot. I was very disappointed to see the deluxe Poly did not have its own entrance and instead we had to get in security lines with the masses driving in from the Kissimmee Best Western (not that there is anything wrong with that).

After the harrowing experience that is Disney’s version of the boarder wall we finally arrived and despite trying to strangle our child

She did survive and honored Space Jesus and @pepperandchips in appreciation.

Today was the very last day of the Festival of the Farts (aptly named by the two children I’m apparently raising) and we stopped to paint the fart wall

Before finally getting some sustenance in us.

We started with the Deconstructed Reuben at the Deconstructed Dish. Never could have guessed you’d find something deconstructed there.

This seemed a little deconstructed for deconstructed sake, which I guess was the point, but the ratio of items was definitely off. Though if you could muster a bite with everything the flavors all went together very well.

Casey also got a Pop-Fartsical which was just a red, white and blue slushy. Didn’t seem very deconstructed to me but she declared it the best slushy she’d ever had. And she is a slushy connoisseur so it must have been good.

Onward next up was the Refreshment port where I of course had to get the Glazed Pork Belly Bloody Kari that @ariane37 had tortured me with photos of raved about.

I’m happy to report her raves were not exaggerated as this had just the right blend of bloody, spice, and vodka and I enjoyed the salted rim. That wonderful hubby of mine stole the pork, but I was just fine drinking my lunch today.

We also got the Lobster Chips with a Lobster Bisque Cheese Sauce.

These were just fine and gave us some much needed carbohydrates, but the lobster flavor was minimal and the topping to chip ratio way off.

We cruised around the world showcase looking for the hidden figment fart paintings and Casey was kind enough to pose for a few for me.

Along the way we also saw this guy with might be the most magical hat I’ve ever seen.

Is that a castle on your head or are you just happy to see me?
Clearly he wanted no attention. None at all.

Next up was Japan where got some Sapporos and shared the Sushi Donut.

This was standard order grocery store sushi, but definitely met the pretty quotient.

We also got the Taiyaki which is a Japanese pastry filled with sweet bean paste.

This sounded interesting which should have been my first clue not to get it. It wasn’t bad, just way more sweet than I expected it to be. Jason and I weren’t fans, but this little girl was more than happy to finish it off. She proclaimed Japan her favorite place because donuts, sushi and sugar are her favorite things and she got them all at once!

She is also angling to fly to Japan so she can ride first class in a pod. Pretty sure her piggy bank ain't gonna cover that down.

We shopped in Mitsukoshi for a while and Casey got some candy and a marble soda

And in 'merica we got some kind of Kolsch for the road

Before finding the Mona Figment Casey in Italy and Frida Casey Kahlo in Mexico.

I’m pretty sure we got a Shofferhoffer in Germany, but have no photographic evidence, and then stopped in China for some kind of drink that I’m gonna go with had a karate or Bruce Lee theme given my husbands awesome moves.

In China Casey also picked out her one present of the day (thankfully for my wallet she’d forgotten the day before) and got one of these ridiculous squishy things that have zero purpose but she loves.

But that was better than this thing she was angling for.

But what do you know they don’t actually sell them :confused3 Or so said her lying horrible mother.

Case was able to complete the figment challenge and got her special prize: A Festival of the Farts Coloring Book

and we even get an extra FP for Soarin before making the long trek back to Shades of Green.

Up next, a tipsy translation game just for @Tracy161

Man you are behind!!! Happy Easter and Memorial Day while we're at it!

Together I think you have the makings of the next Migos single...
I'm almost embarrassed to say I have no idea what or who Migos is

Of course I’d never race but the post race brunch looks great.
Only part of the hubby racing that I actually like

Silly girl, didn’t she know her very skilled mother could have photoshopped her in?
Silly girl has no idea the skills her mother can lay down! Even better I could have photoshopped her out!

At first I was like “excuse me?!” but now I get it :rotfl: though at first I thought it wasn’t a typo and you had a verrryy spicy bloody.
Oh no it totally was a typo but now so much better the way you see it. Who wants heat when you can have head?

I am admittedly prejudiced against Raglan Road after my sister got food poisoning there once but that meal looks like a big miss.
Yikes! And we are officially done :crazy2:

Thanks for the schooling. In the future I'll be sure to delineate between old and young millennials :earboy2:

Ha, my tipsy translator skills suggest maybe she didn’t finish her fries??? (From one lush to another we speak the same language)
I should just send you all my notes and have you decipher them. They can get pretty dicey

Aaaand all caught up! See you in July :p
Happy Labor Day!

As usual you had me cracking up!

After the harrowing experience that is Disney’s version of the boarder wall we finally arrived and despite trying to strangle our child

:rotfl2:

Today was the very last day of the Festival of the Farts (aptly named by the two children I’m apparently raising) and we stopped to paint the fart wall

They can come work at my office, today someone was at my desk talking to me and the person in the next cubical let out the loudest fart, we were not impressed.

This seemed a little deconstructed for deconstructed sake, which I guess was the point, but the ratio of items was a bit off. Though if you could muster a bite with everything the flavors all went together very well.

It doesn't look very appetizing but sounds good, happy to hear it tasted good.

Casey also got a Pop-Fartsical which was just a red, white and blue slushy. Didn’t seem very deconstructed to me but she declared it the best slushy she’d ever had. And she has her slushy conoisseur license.

well then we must take her word for it. Also WHEN DID SHE GET SO BIG!

Onward next up was the Refreshment port where I of course had to get the Glazed Pork Belly Bloody Kari that @ariane37 had tortured me with photos of raved about

This thing looks AMAZING! I saw it in her report and now yours, i hope the have it next year!

I’m happy to report her raves were not exaggerated as this had just the right blend of bloody, spice, and vodka and I enjoyed the salted rim. That wonderful hubby of mine stole the pork, but I was just fine drinking my lunch today.

NOT HELPING

Is that a castle on your head or are you just happy to see me?

At least it wasn't standard order gas station sushi.

In China Casey also picked out her one present of the day (thank for my wallet she’d forgotten the day before) and got one of these ridiculous squishy things that have zero purpose but she loves.
ugh these and hatchimals, oh and LOLs... what are with those things? i have started secretly throwing them out... i cant deal

Is that a castle on your head or are you just happy to s
I am not even sure what to say about this... Interesting

Japan her favorite place because donuts, sushi and sugar are her favorite things and she got them all at once!
She is amazing!

In China Casey also picked out her one present of the day (thank for my wallet she’d forgotten the day before) and got one of these ridiculous squishy things that have zero purpose but she loves.
Stupid Squishies!!! They really have zero purpose! Morgan and Gwen watch some YouTuber who fixes and paints them to look like other things...

But what do you know they don’t actually sell them :confused3 Or so said her lying horrible mother.
Ha! This is TOTALLY something I would say, too! We told Morgan when she was little that the Ice Cream Truck was a Music Truck and just drove around playing music...
