I was disappointed a couple days ago looking for an ADR at Il Mulino (in 20 days! 😱) and nonecame up at all. But today I had the idea to look at open table and thres lots! Of course, when I couldn'tfind them the other night I mentioned to Zack that we could do Shula's instead... thinking we have tour that day, back to hotel a bit, then dinner, then walk to epcot for illuminations

That's crazy! I don't think I've ever had trouble finding an ADR for the Swan/Dolphin restaurants, I always felt like a lot of people didn't know about them/book them for some reason. But I'm sure Opentable has more times than the Disney system has too.

Yeah, I've never not seen multiple ADRs for those restaurants :confused3

Eeeeee I'm excited about HHN stuff but also annoyed because we have no real plans on time from Zacks brother other than October and midweek (like a 4 or 5 day trip with the weekend). I just want to book things so were not paying an arm and a leg for flights or hotel.

Hope your car is fixed up soon! Zacks is in the shop currently and I'm not excited. We got rear ended back on JAN 2ND SERIOUSLY. And just dropped it off on Tuesday. Spent all that time waiting for insurance to determine who was at fault (but really I think they were trying to contact their driver for their side and they weren't responding since they were obviously at fault) and then argue with the jerk face insurance guy who accused us of trying to scam them and denied the existence of our claim until I sent someone from our insurance after the guy. Then he was threatening the rental was only good for 2 days no matter how long it took. So, dont get rear ended by someone with a high risk insurance agency because it is a PITA. It was a minor fender bender but I'm glad we did a claim and took it in because our shop said the sensors in the bumper are messed up...

Cant believe you'll be back to Disney so soon here! I'm excited for you!

We're so close!!

I went to sephora yesterday to pick up a ridiculously small (and expensive for the size) version of my moisturizer, so I'll have more room in my liquids bag. I can always make things fit, but my regular size jar is big and annoying to cram in!!

Me too! And I hope Zack’s is too. Ugh that sounds like what happened on my door. I think that was before we started talking on here, but I have no driver’s side door handle because a couple years ago the maintenance guy at my apt complex wasn’t looking where he was going and when he was plowing he flew backwards across the whole parking lot while I was backing out and hit me. They ruled he had time to stop but because we were both backing up they couldn’t declare anyone at fault. His insurance basically did the same thing, (accused me of lying) and I didn’t get enough to fix it so I never did.
I remember this! I think it may have been just around when we started talking, or just before, but I do remember you mentioning it in a PTR or something. It's so frustrating how the insurance model seems to be beat you down until you give up or settle for peanuts.

Why are the mini versions of products always almost as expensive if not more than the regular size ones? I have that same issue when I try to buy a travel size primer.
Also what is with this, I have finally found a time where this is NOT the case with the mascara I started using recently. I hate buying travel sizes, Zack laughed at me for buying a bunch of travel bottles and jars off Amazon in April. But we almost always do carry on only! I need space but also my beauty things!

Sometimes I like when they send me sample size ones so I can take them when we travel, but then you can’t always buy ones that small so it’s a pain. I recently bought a bunch of bottles and jars too :rotfl: We do usually check a bigger bag too, but I don’t need that much of things on vacation so I try to condense it down to travel size when I can. This trip I’m only taking a carry on so i have a lot to put in that one little bag.

I'm trying to plan packing starting today while at work for the next trip, for two reasons. One, we can put everything we need for the Disney days in one bag and all of the cruise stuff in the other, bigger bag so we don't even have to open it until then. Two, I was debating checking the bag but I really don't want to wait at baggage claim since the flight gets in so darn late, I just want to go to the Hyatt. But it will probably depend on sunscreen, and if I can fit it in our two liquids baggies or if I decide to buy some on the way to the cruise. I will probably take SPF 100 like I did when we went to the waterparks :rotfl: But it worked! I've convinced Zack to check a bag on the way back because I want a butter knife from one of the cruise restaurants that they sell in the gift shop, and I've read TSA will take them.

Oh, I guess there is a third reason for packing... we have these two travel backpacks that we use as our carry ons, they count as a personal item and can fit under the seat if needed, if we need to bring another suitcase carry on, but they are also easy for us each to fit 5+ days of stuff in them, so I want to try and use one for the Disney days, and put the other one in the suit case empty... so we have extra room for souvenirs coming back plus if we need a bag to carry supplies (ahem wine) on to the ship.

You don’t need to justify early packing to me :rotfl: I’ve already put most my stuff in the bag for our trip. I wanted to make sure it all fit. Idk if this helps but we never bring the full size sunscreen anymore. (Josh doesn't use it though). In one of those travel size containers I can fit more than enough for a whole trip (for me at least).

I can't believe you have another trip coming up so soon! As usual I'm trying to get caught up around here! Glad you got your car back! I am a hoarder of mini bottles of everything lol so I always have some for travel!!

I was reading some more about your California trip and I was wondering, how do you keep track of all your non-Disney plans - for restaurants and things to do? For Disney I have the spreadsheet thing down...but I find I have a hard time being organized for other types of trips, and I always forget all the things I had hoped to do and go to because the info isn't where I need it when I need it...if that makes any sense...you seem so organized I'm wondering if you have a good system lol and if so, if you wouldn't mind sharing!!

Also, Your Sept trip sounds fantastic, combining stays at both Universal and Disney, that is just the best of everything!

I don't know if it's a more organized way than a spreadsheet, but it's easy to reference, and I can get to it even if I don't have wifi or the data is acting up (which sometimes happens at work).

That's a great idea! Especially the part about accessing your notes even in spotty wifi. I like that idea!

Your carbs with a side of carbs lunch looked delish :)

I'm just nervous because the trip is so short, and I'm not sure what to do if anything happens with this flight. Although I do think a direct flight is my best bet, and most likely if there's bad weather it would only be a delay and not a cancellation I'd hope.
I agree, direct flights are always better, if you can. Good Luck!!! I hope you do ok! It's funny, you just never know!
