Best Year Ever!! An International Disney Park PTR

What. In. The. World. Is. Wrong. With. That. Theater. Company.

That is ridiculous. If you couldn't tell from the amount of periods and capitals my opening sentence contained.

They are missing out.

Thank. You. I. Think. So. Too.

Luckily that frees up more time for planning and sewing and dance classes and other fun stuff. So I'm trying to stay looking on the bright side.

Hello my fabulous internet friends!

I don't have a ton of updates but I'm sitting through a horrendous conference call so I need something to distract myself.

Yesterday was the official one-month countdown for our ABD! None of our plans have changed but it's fun because I'm getting feedback from other people who are currently on this ABD to see how they're handling SWGE. Currently everyone on the ABD gets a regular reservation period, so they aren't getting anything that any other on-site guest wouldn't get. What will be really interesting is when the reservation period ends. There's only a few weeks between when that happens and when I go so hopefully someone on an ABD in there chimes in!

Speaking of SWGE...I've been working on an outfit to wear and yesterday I finished making the skirt for it.

I also did some online shopping to get pieces for our Disneybounds! We're doing three as a couple but I'm not going to tell you what they are so that you can guess when I write my TR. I'm stoked about all of them though. So now I need to think of what non-Disney outfits to wear. Gotta be at my fashion best if I'm going to rub shoulders with the beautiful Hollywood elite.

On the subject of fashion, I've been stressing out about what to wear to the Magic Castle. They have a really strict dress code so I don't want to be under dressed but I also really don't want to be overdressed. I bought a pretty dress a few days ago but it needs to be altered and I'm not sure if I have time to get that done. So I might try to see if I can find one that fits off the rack and return this one.

Here's a horrible dressing room photo (seriously why do dressing rooms have the absolute worst lighting??) of the dress I currently have. It needs to be taken in and taken up, both around the neck and at the hem:

Packing is really all we have left to do for this trip, and I still have a whole month left! And choosing outfits is hard because I recently changed my hair color and now all of a sudden colors that worked don't work no more. Didn't think about that. Here's the new me (Jon thinks I'm going through some kind of crisis):

And in 2020 news, we booked our WDW trip! Right now we're booked May 1-10 at Copper Creek, but we're going to try for a split stay at either the Beach Club or Boardwalk so that we can be close to SWGE & Flower and Garden. Originally we were supposed to go with some friends but they just found out unexpectedly that they have to buy a new car, so they won't have the funds to go. Jon is bummed but honestly I'm looking forward to a nice, long WDW stay with no one else there to keep track of. That's what happens when an extrovert and an introvert get married, I supposed.

Anyway- I'm torn between Boardwalk and Beach Club! Right now I'm leaning toward BC simply because of the pool, but I think I would prefer Boardwalk for proximity to dining and all that. So what would you choose and why??

Well my call is over. Thanks for reading along and allowing me to pass some time.

I don't think you need to be too worried about the dress code. I mean, definitely wear a dress (or nice pants option) and have your husband wear a suit with tie. But as long as you are wearing a nice outfit, you will be fine.

How was everyone dressed when you were there? Would the dress I posted be way dressier than what you saw?

That’s a beautiful dress!

Also love the new hair!!!

Wait are you the introvert or extrovert? Totally thought you were the extrovert but maybe not if you don’t want other people there?!?!

It would be on the dressier side, but not out of place. Though people could think it was a wedding dress (not a bad thing)! If I was going again, I would probably end up wearing one of my Disney dresses (like the black halter with pretty dots). My sister has gone several times in the past year for school networking events and she usually wears a nice jumpsuit and blazer.

Thanks!!

I am a total introvert! A lot of people are surprised by that because I do okay in social situations but I definitely love (and usually prefer) my alone time :)

Oh shoot I don’t want to be the most dressed up hahaha. It’s a pink dress (silly fitting room lights) so hopefully it doesn’t look too bridal, but I’m still so worried!

You can probably get a good impression of the outfits by going to the Yelp page. There's no photos inside, but you can see photos of people outside. (Also make sure to check if they are going to brunch or dinner - weekend brunch is less formal and doesn't require full suits)

I'd think of it like a formal wedding. You don't need to wear an evening gown, but also don't want to wear a mini dress...

Okay so after looking at Yelp (great suggestion, BTW) I thought about this dress that I have:

Would that fit in with what you've seen?? (@OhioStateBuckeye please also weigh in because you know how nervous I am about dressing right for this thing)

So pretty, but I am seriously loving those ears!!!!

Love your new hair color!

So exciting that your ABD is coming up, hopefully they'll still get you into the land once its a queue. Thats seems only fair!

Did you guys end up coming to Niagara Falls last weekend?

Also love the second dress option!

Thanks! It's so bright and fun. Sometimes I miss the red but I'm not quite done with the peach yet :)

That's my hope!!

Yes, it was so much fun!

Also love the second dress option!
I think that will be a better choice overall. And I'm so much less stressed now that I have it figured out.
