I like the Bananaboy Biz, that'll stick with me for a while. I had to think about it for a few seconds since you're out of the country and I thought maybe you went for a local card. Was wondering what company decided on that name... šŸ˜† (although Marriott probably should have hired them instead)
Don't mind me, I'm just trying to catch up by reading backwards and just caught this...bananaboy biz, hahahaha!!!!! Good one, @MKTokyo . Sorry @Lain , this might be tied with bonbon now šŸ˜‰

Hearing this is like reading what has been on repeat in my head lol. @Lain we are continuing to track 1:1. Except, i donā€™t have the Biz Gold, but will likely be canceling the Hilton Biz and keeping the SPG Lux as well.

Yeah! All the cards we got together at the same time a year ago are coming up for another AF. And now weā€™re all doing the keep or cancel dance.

I really hesitated about canceling the Hilton Biz because I donā€™t want to piss off Amex. Itā€™s ā€œonlyā€ a $95 fee to keep it another year. But I just donā€™t spend much on the Hilton Biz because I use other Amex cards that earn bonus points in other currencies I value more right now for gas and dining, and then I end up forgetting about the Hilton Biz until I get an alert on my calendar that its statement is about to close, then I hurriedly throw a gas or dining charge on it so thereā€™s at least some activity on the card for that month. Iā€™ll never hit the $15k spend in a calendar year on this card required to get the Free Weekend Night cert. Iā€™m already Hilton Gold status from my Plat card. So thereā€™s really no benefit for me to keep the Hilton Biz. I also think my anemic and inconsistent spend on the Hilton Biz is probably more of a liability than just canceling it so that I can better focus my spend on the other cards I actually use. And my spend with Amex is pretty considerable. But who knows with Amex? Iā€™ll just for sure not cancel the card before it hits 366 days and after the AF posts.

DH and I both received the 1.5% email but it's not showing at all for him and for me it's only showing on some existing cards. When I added the new card I wanted to use it went to 2.5%. I had this happen with the last promo and am in the queue (#5) to chat with them now. They were able to manually correct it no issues. I think many folks are having this issue, normally their chat is only 1 or 2 folks ahead of you. I started at 12.
I just chatted and she didnā€™t say anything about manually resolving. Just that someone would check into and email me. Iā€™ll check again later and if not resolved chat again. (I was 13, got disconnected and then was 17.)

Sold! Actually I had pulled the trigger a bit before I read this. I was slightly worried that the upgrade hadn't processed because I didn't receive any kind of notice, but this morning my green card is gone from my login and the biz plat is there.

I'm still frustrated that I can't generate a referral link for the improved Delta gold biz offer but this will give me somewhere productive to put MSR spend until I can apply for a CIP.

I do need to catch up on the Dell credit. I recall that headphones and ceiling lights are two possibilities -- anything else (useful but not a computer) that I should look for?

Congrats! Iā€™ll probably pull the trigger soon.

Dell sells game consoles - the Nintendo Switch, Xbox, and PS4.

And Xbox Live gift cards that you can load to a Microsoft account, and ā€œbankā€ them towards products and services on the Microsoft Store.

Thanks -- I'll have to check with my kids about which system is "in" with them these days (they buy their own now, so I'm out of that loop -- the only one we still have in our house is the Wii, which I should get rid of because no one has used it in forever but I am strangely attached to it and keep thinking that I am going to use it someday).

Does Chase look at total credit limit for both personal and business? DH has two personal Disney cards with Chase both with $15k CL and two business CIPs. One with $15k CL and one with $10K.

DH will probably apply for CSR or CSP. Which if the two is a better option?

Fellow sag here and I hate pickles! (And cucumbers to boot). First we get screwed having our birthdays so close to Christmas now we get crummy snacks at Disney???? Iā€™m a Mickey bar or Mickey pretzel with cheese dip girl

My birthday falls on Thanksgiving this year. Really hate when that happens. Especially hated it when I was a kid and we got to pick our birthday meals. I am not a turkey fan. Now I hate it because it is a lot of work cooking all that darn food, and I usually do most of it. Except the turkey, don't touch that thing before or after it is cooked.

Yes they will look at all credit limit extended to you through them. I would lower all of them. The recommended is not more than 50% of total income or not over about 60-70k if High income. The CSR and CSP can both be good depending on how you want to use your points and how much you spend in certain categories. There is a way to get both if you are interested and can spend $8k in 3 months.

Plastiq promo finally worked. $3K sent for Citi AA Biz which leaves less than $200 to knock out organically at the grocery store this weekend.

Now to take DDā€™s AU Gold card to the store with me to hit her $500 spend to get 5K bonus MR points. Iā€™m thinking a MCGC to use on Plastiq since I canā€™t pay HELOC directly with Amex. Hopefully my brotherā€™s AU card comes soon so I can make that $500 spend and he can apply for Global Entry before I close out my Platinum in August at the 1 year mark. Trying to convince my parents to also apply for GE since I have 2 more available between my CSR and DDā€™s AU Gold. I think they need to renew their passports first though.
How did you get it to work?

Figured out last night that if we use one of the Marriott offers on ILs cards, that between that and our TIW card we will save ~36% on our dinner at Shula's :D

Awesome! Any chance you have registered for their birthday program? It used to be good for buy one get one free. We combined the birthday coupon with their GC deal. Hope you have a great time!

I broke down and got the Disney visa yesterday. I've had my Chase Freedom Unlimited and I love it but the sign up bonus for the Disney Visa basically paid for our entire room before our cruise vacation in September, so it didn't make sense to pass on it. Teach me oh great credit card thread on how to maximize my rewards.

If you go to the first page in the thread and answer all the questions in post 2 we can probably help you better. Though the first piece of advice we may have given you yesterday was to not open the Disney card. There are usually better cards out there, but it depends on how much you want to get into the game.

Chase looks at both personal and business CLs..vs household income.....I would suggest lowering all those CLs....
Right now CSP has a 60k UR bonus vs CSR 50k.....Also if you have a CSP....you can send him a link so you get 15k URs when he is approved

My idea of fun: Adding up how many points we've earned paying our cars via Plastiq and what the Plastiq/CC Annual Fees have been

Have wondered if people break out their CC fees into different categories in their budget tracking. I have not so far, but thinking about it so I can get a clearer picture of what is costing me to accumulate the points.

My son's birthday sometimes falls on Thanksgiving. It can be hard to make it his special day when that happens. I actually had him the day after Thanksgiving. My water broke in the morning and I got up and made Thanksgiving dinner in a hurry! Luckily he didn't come until the next morning. That was a Thanksgiving to remember!

OMG, the things moms do! lol That would not have worked for me, all mine came within about 30 minutes of water breaking.

Some info from research today:

Cannot use Amex on Plastiq to pay your auto insurance (w/o a workaround anyway). Off to find MB MCGC I guess. (Also our auto policy is literally our only biller who wonā€™t accept amex outright- lame. Our gas too but thats a super small bill not worth fiddling with in the summer).

Also apparently Publix reports L3 and thats our main grocer so Iā€™ll try Bilo who as far as I can tell only does L2.
