I have been too busy to update. Cone from away was so good. It did bring back the emotions of 9/11. I was living in Staten island and teaching in Bay ridge, Brooklyn.
Tea at the national Gallery was so good. Monday the 10th we started the day going to Westminster Abbey, then the natural history museum. A little shopping then it was time to go to get the Eurostar for the train to Paris.
While in the Uber to the train station , we get a call from hotels.com that there was an issue with the hotel in Reims That we were staying in Tuesday night after the World Cup game.
I think my husband spent the whole time waiting on the phone with hotel.Com. we wound up staying at a hotel in Moussy.
While on the Eurostar, we realized there was no way to get to and from the hotel to the stadium. We wound up renting a car. I’m going to reach out to hotels.com and see what they can do since we had 2 non refundable train tickets that we couldn’t use.
We were so beat Monday night that we slept in late on Tuesday before getting the rental car and going to Moussy
This hotel had actually keys. It was kind of funny getting to the hotel after midnight after the World Cup game. The lobby was closed and all keys (had to leave keys as you left hotel) were just in a basket. I felt bad for the family that first got to hotel after the game. They looked so confused.
We spent 4 night at the Sequoia lodge in
Disneyland Paris. We did 3 full days in the parks. It was a lot of fun.
Left pretty early the 4th day to go to Paris. Return the rental car
We shopping, then did a tuk tuk in Paris. The Tuk Tuk was amazing. We had a 4 hour private tour. We got to see everything. We did a dinner cruise that night.
Sunday we did the arc de Triomphe. Lots of stairs. (My watch recorded 32 flights of stairs total for the day)
My daughter had us get to the World Cup gam when the gates opened at 4.
Today we did the Eiffel towel and the louvrE.
Leaving tomorrow.
