Doing Disney For Free?

Well nothing is free.. But anyways my question is could i do Disney using nothing but my reward points? We are doing a Miami cruise in 2020, I thought it would be doable to stay at Disney for a few days before and spend say one day at Hollywood studios with hopper pass. So i would be looking to use my reward points for 2 nights stay, tickets for 2 for 1 day, food for the stay.. I figure parking would have to be out of pocket.
I have never used any of my reward balance in the year we have had our card. so all this is new to me. I figure by 2020 we would prob have at least $1500 in rewards. This first year we hit $800.. So the cash would be there if it is usable.. Thanks guys in advance.

It would depend on when you go, and where you stay and eat, but if you’ve run the numbers, I can’t see why not. Pretty sure you can redeem rewards dollars to pay for anything Disney, including room reservations, park tickets, and dining. We’ve used them to cover a lot, but never all, of our dining. What has always seemed like a ridiculous amount of spending money hasn’t lasted long for us in Disney, lol.

Thanks for the reply, I have not ran the numbers. I just kinda guessed at room rates $250 at a moderate for two nights and tickets say $125 each, guessed at the rest.. My main thing was actually pulling it off with the points.. But I would guess i just turn all or most of the rewards to a gift card and I would be free to use it anywhere in Disney World.

Yes, that part is easy. You can request a rewards card online (do this about a month in advance...they can take awhile to show up) and transfer rewards dollars to it $10 or more at a time. The transfers are instant, so I like to put $50 or so before our trip and then transfer more over in the morning before we head out to a park. You can use it anywhere in the parks. I think that's also how you would use it to pay for hotel/park tickets, by transferring points to a card first. We love our disney visa because it's allowed us to splurge on dining and extras we would normally not do. Good luck and hope you have a great cruise and trip!
