Annual Passholder Previews REGISTRATION LINK IN FIRST POST-EVENT FULLY BOOKED

All of our Platinum AP’s are activated as we were there in April. So that is not an issue. My children are APholders but are minors and are therefore managed by me. So technically, I am not registering a guest. I am registering my APholder minor who does not have an individual MDE account. Given that I have 3 children it seems by comments so far that I wouldn’t be able to register my family of passholder’s due to system constraints despite everyone of us being eligible. Am I misunderstanding? Anyone have insight?

There is really no way to tell until the registration opens up.

I have this exact question. I've been following this board for awhile and could never figure out how to pose the question. Thanks for putting it so eloquently.

Disney clearly states that the AP needs to be activated. It is only on this thread that there seems to be a lot of wishful thinking. ;)
For what it’s worth, I asked a guest relations CM this exact question 2 days ago when I called about something else, and he was very confident that “as long as the pass is linked with MDE app, you will be able to register for the preview”. It’s always possible he’s wrong - but - that is what he said. And... it’s never wrong to hope. After all, rebellions are built on hope. 😉

No one knows how that's going to work. I think there are a lot of us who think it's just common sense that if you have minors that are AP holders yet don't have their own MDE, they will not count as guests and you would be able to sign them all up. There's no point in repeating what any of us have been told by CM's because we've gotten every answer there could be. I'm afraid you'll just have to wait and see what happens when the link is dropped. Plan for not being able to sign more than one up and that's about all you can do.

what time do the castmember previews start on 7/22 i tried to go back in the thread and could not find it

Yep, all speculation at this point. As much as Disney is "family focused", I can't imagine Disney forcing people to break up the family and only choose ONE family member per MDE to attend (especially since minors can't have their own MDE account), but then again, this is just a nice "extra" event Disney is offering, so they can limit it any way they want - which they ALREADY have by not offering it to other AP tier levels.

But, knowing Disney IT, it may be a limitation and hard for them to differentiate between a non-linked and linked family/friend.

Many people won't get this opportunity, so missing out because I happen to have my entire family under my MDE account (wife and two kids) will be very disappointing, but ultimately no different than if I missed this opportunity because I had a Gold Tier.

If they limit it, and because I just don't want to go through the hassle of making my wife her own MDE account (due to the complications it could cause later on), I just probably won't go.

Yes sorry that’s what I meant what time on 7/22 can u book online for cm previews times

Just an FYI (I thought it was interesting) - once CM preview sign ups start, CMs have a certain amount of time to sign up, indicating their preferred times. After that, there is a lottery for which CMs actually get to do the previews.

(This was per our guide on the Backstage Magic tour earlier this week, so I consider her a much more reliable source than most CMs!)

That was true for pandora not for GE

So I read folks talking about an email that was sent last weekend about this but I haven't gotten one. We've had a Platinum AP for more than 2 years now. I plan on going with a friend to see SWGE in September; however, I'm seriously leaning towards making a quick trip over for the AP preview. I went to MDE to see if there was anything I needed to opt in or request for this, but I'm already opted in for offers according to the site.

Yep Disney is iffy on who receives emails and who doesn’t. Keep watching the boards for the link. I have gotten one AP email in my life! Some haven’t gotten any. Disney’s IT team isn’t the greatest.

I have gotten a few AP emails; however, I've also missed out on some giveaways they were doing and special events because I didn't get those. I'll definitely keep an eye out. We have a rental house near Disney and I'm a realtor so my job is flexibile so I'd like to do this one if I can work it out.
