Official AK Moonlight Magic Discussion

Was anyone who went to the 7/18 event able to check in anywhere inside the park? We're park hopping on 8/22 so we might already be at AK before the event starts, but will we have to exit the park and re-enter to get wristbands and such?

Anyone who went on 7/18 - do the meal vouchers work anytime after we enter at 6pm or do we need to wait until the event officially begins at 9:30pm....

Not inside the park. We used early check-in (12pm-) at the ticket booth. Ticket booth #1 was assigned to Moonlight Magic.

Just to clarify, for those who attended the 7/18 party this week--

Instead of last year's meal (hot dog, cookie, chips), you were able to order an entree from QS locations operating on a normal menu? So you could go to, say, FTB for ribs or Satu'li Canteen for one of the bowls?

We used our voucher for bowls at Satu'li Canteen. They also included a beverage; I had a bottled water and my friend got a fountain drink.

We arrived a little before 7:00 PM and used our vouchers shortly after that.

When I was at the Epcot one back in May, we were able to use ours before the event started and got to eat at a normal time.

My tip so far is to go to the AK park ticket window for early check in. You can check in after 12:00 pm at ticket booth #1. Got our wristbands, meal tickets, and 1 ticket each for the games in Dino-Rama.

Went to the DVC booth and guest services. Neither knew anything about early check in.
Were you actually allowed into the park that early using only the wristband and not a separate park admission? Or would you still have to wait until official entry at 6?

Read your confirmation email, it answers your question.

Early Access: While the event begins at 9:30 PM, attendees may enter the Park as early as 6:00 PM. (Entering Disney's Animal Kingdom® Theme Park prior to 6:00 PM would require paid Theme Park Admission.)

Above is what is in my confirmation email. erionmn was kind enough to let know that the information has been updated on the DVC page though, so thanks.

I had no idea there is a DVC Yahtzee.. Now I'm even more excited! lol I hope they are still available on the 22nd. 🤞🤞

Would anyone happen to have an extra ticket for 8/7?
Thanks
Also can you check in at your resort prior to 6pm?
Thanks

Thank you to everyone who shared info from 7/18. We are attending 8/22 and this will be our first MM experience, so it's great to learn a little bit of the lay of the land before hand.

I'm curious: How does the park "feel" on a MM night - does it feel busy (like a holiday party) or like a low crowd day?
