So I just got CIP #3 in the mail and we have about $100 left to complete MSR on P2's CIP #2. Wondering what my next moves should be.

Here's a few more specific questions:

I just cancelled the Citi Biz AA cards today (I know I should have done that sooner). When is it safe to apply again? Do I wait 30 days?

We would like to get another CP for P2 as early as possible in 2020 and are planning on trying to hit the 2 SW Biz Cards. If I have the open personal spot should I take the priority/ performance route?

I feel like I should be doing something with the 4/24 spots I have open but don't know what.

Oh yeah... In light of recent discussions here, I've decided to take a CIPpy break.

Any thoughts at all would be more than welcome.

For P2s CP....I personally like the Priority and consider it a $74 AF card since you get the $75 statement credit...and the 4 upgraded boarding...

We personally wouldn’t get the value from the $199 Performance card...I know it’s a higher bonus 80k URs ...but if you do a support link you get 70k URs when opening the Premier for $99.
If we traveled more and used the WiFi it may make sense

If you want the CP early in 2020...I’d open a SW card mid to late October.....then mid to late December....and finish the spend first thing in January

Looks like DHs Platinum is now reporting on credit karma. It was opened June 3rd and shows as reported July 19th for the first time. I know we usually say it's about 2 months for an AMEX to report so I wanted to share.

So it looks like Amex is still reporting after the close of the second statement, which could be shorter than 2 months.

If I booked a room using my marriott free night cert,and later decide to cancel within the window, do they automatically give that back? or will I have to call?

I think you'll need to call, I just noticed that the last room I cancelled it was not redeposited. ugh... I don't want to call.

The problem here is that @DrFacilier’s P2 got both SW personal cards in Jan 2018. They aren’t eligible to apply for either SW personal until 24 months from when their last bonus was awarded. That would be somewhere between Feb and Apr of 2020 depending on the exact date they earned the bonus.

I have now ordered checks from ally 3 times. First box never showed. 2nd box (ordered 7/1 and confirmed by 2 reps) hasn't showed so they are sending a 3rd box. They said if I don't receive box #2 by the end of the week to call for security reasons. Anyone else have so much trouble ordering checks from them?

@hsmamato2 I was hoping someone else would chime in with better news... but both times I cancelled mine I ended up tweeting them to get it redeposited. I still need to do that for MILs too from last month.

I ordered checks from Costco recently since it was cheaper than ordering from BoA. I selected the two box option for $17. Sweet fancy moses... I will have enough checks for the rest of my life now. Hope I never need to change my bank account!

Yeah - this is confusing now because of personal cards having the 1 SW rule but biz cards do not. So many rules to keep track of!! Haha
