Priceline Express Deals

Messing around with the PL app trick (searching @MusicalAstronaut dates) and it did not work on one of the hotels - it was one that did not give me the bedding choice option. I clicked on others and that (for me at least) is the one thing that is different from my other searches. I did not even have to go all the way to the total page to get the trick to work. As long as I have a bedding choice I hit the back arrow and it works. Hope this helps!
Trying to decide on a hotel for August 17-19. I'm going down just for the AP preview on the 18th and flying home first thing (6am) Monday morning. Also looking at December 1-4 or 5. Probably the 4th if I can fly home late that night. Disney's website itself seems to be having issues but they have All Stars for $93/night those dates (probably going to call & book in a few). I know December is probably too far out for a deal, so really just looking at August. I see what is probably Coronado for $143 or a likely All Star for ninety something. Anyone see anything better? I'm going with cheapest unless I see something amazing like POR for $90 (which I've gotten in the past). ETA that I suck at guessing the hotels on PL, so any help with those would be really appreciated!
For your August dates I see (on the app) the Waldorf for $138 and the Hilton Bonnet Creek for $78. On the DS side there is the Wyndham Garden for $76, and the Best Western for $73. There was one more that was 4* 70% at $88 (og $118) but it now tells me it is no longer available.

I checked on a browser for those dates. Nothing Disney. Four non-Disney options at $72, $78, $79, and $92. $72 is Best Western.

Thanks for checking! I may do off site, $70ish isn't bad when I'm only there for the weekend.

I just installed PL app, android. Trick only worked once. I think PL is fixing it. Resort fees really help narrow it down.

Super easy and so far they are none the wiser ;)

On the PL app do your search. Then go to the Express hotels, click the one you are interested in. Go all the way to the end - the page that tells you the total and where you would add your info. On the top there will be a back arrow, click on the back arrow and it will take you to the page where you chose your bedding. Click back again and it will take you to a screen that has the hotel info. Normally this would be a vague description of the hotel you might get - but if you read the description it will actually tell you the name of the hotel in the description!
Never knew about this. It totally worked for me! I have an Android

Looking for a second opinion before booking. Is this Coronado for 8/16-8/18?

I just booked the same dates and deal. It did end up to be Coronado. You can use the 30GETAWAYNC coupon code to save an extra $30 too. I have had a lot of success with Priceline, but this was my first Hotwire booking!

Generally how far out should you really start looking to book? I'm looking at 9/5-9/7. Haven't seen much yet, but I was thinking as it gets closer, might be a better chance for some different ones to pop up. Right now my choices are Waldorf, Hilton Bonnet Creek, and something else that's too high.

I usually have luck find something on PL about 2-3 weeks before.

Right now I’m looking for the end of September. Waldorf Astoria is pretty tempting to try, but I can’t find a thread for it on the DIS boards. Anyone know if there is a thread out there that i can get a link to?

I've noticed that too - depending on whether I look on Chrome, Explorer or the app I will see the prices for the same hotel vary by a dollar or two. I don't have an explanation, but I know it does happen!
Please. What is
Can you trust the number of reviews?? I'm on the PL website, looking at an express deal. Canary says it's either CBR, CSR, Cabins at Fort Wilderness, or Wyndham Bonnet Creek. When I went back in the browser, it revealed that it has 400 reviews. Only CSR has 400 reviews. Can I assume that's it then?
Please what is Canary ?

It doesn’t get much love so I don’t think it has a master thread like the official Disney resorts or even the vistana or Wyndham Bonnet Creek timeshares. I have heard it is lovely and have stayed at its sister Hilton property. We would definitely stay there again if the price was right.

I found it. You’re right! It doesn’t get much love.

If you want some info on the Waldorf, do you follow TheTimTracker on YouTube? If not go check out his page. They recently stayed at the Waldorf and did a full resort tour, room tour, and restaurant review of the place. It looked amazing and he said it was a hidden gem so to speak as not too many people really know it is a hotel where you can get FP 60 bookings, EMH, and the like. The video was 2 months ago, It's called Eating our way around the Waldorf Astoria.
