I grabbed Oga's for the morning and evening of 8/29!

Me too! Got a 9:15am and a 7pm, which I’m thrilled about. Now I’m guaranteed entry in the morning and guaranteed I can leave and return in the evening! So now I’m faced with the question do I still want to queue overnight to be part of the ‘first’ group in, or just enjoy a more leisurely start to the day. Honestly the appeal of lining up overnight and being ‘first’ has waned for me, since it will already have been open for several weeks!!

We got a droid depot at 9:15 and an Ogas at 11:15 - thoughts on if this will guarantee admission to the land without being there at the crack of dawn on the 29th??

I'm with you 100%. Camping out and being "first" is likely to result in a much shorter wait for MFSR... but that'll be after waiting all night and being sleep deprived. Arriving for my 9am ADR would mean a long wait for MFSR, but a full night's sleep. Tough call, because I don't know if "long wait" means 3 hours, or 10 hours...

No official word on it, but I think they'll really have to honor the ADRs and allow admittance because of the credit card hold and because there is nothing in the reservation fine print saying you may not be admitted if the land is full. Still - it's a bit of a gamble as of now, I guess.

From everything I’ve read, that’s how it’s been handled at Disneyland. It’s basically a bypass of the virtual queue. Can’t really see them changing this approach at WDW. What if the virtual queue grants you a spot ‘in line’ for the land, but your ADR comes and goes before land capacity opens up? But who knows??

Assuming an ADR gets you in, I think I'm going to skip the whole camping out all night thing and aim to show up around 4-5am. Worst case, GE fills to capacity right away and I can't get in until my ADR at 9 - I'll just go do other stuff in DHS until then. Best case, I get into GE before then. In either case, I arrive on Batuu well rested!

I would not assume that. Disneyland hasn’t been allowing walk ups for the most part unless there are no shows. So the chances are slim.

Nothing is guaranteed right now, as WDW hasn't officially said one way or another. At DLR, an ADR is allowing entry into GE, and when Pandora opened, a FP allowed entry into the land. So it seems likely that an ADR for any of the GE places should allow entry into the land. But until I see actual confirmation from WDW, I'm not assuming a guarantee of anything.

So I just made both the ressies in my name, but it occurred to me, that although one is for my son (who I couldn't name as the participant anyways), one is for my husband, and my husband may want to go in and do the one my son will build with him, does that matter that it's got my name on the participant? I ran from the shower quickly to wait for the screens to load and make the ressies when my sister in law called and I won't be able to talk to my husband or son about who wants which ressie until tonight.

I want to thank you for this. I got Savi's and the Driod depot. Oga was all full up for my dates September but if it wasn't for this board I swear I wouldn't have gotten have my information.
