The Disney Moms panel advice on converting your QS to snack credits has come up before.... but the truth is that it appears to be a rare exception rather than the rule. Maybe this year will be different, but I wouldn't get my hopes up. And if it's the one i just read the rest of her response is wrong.... people have been converting QS meals to snacks at Epcot for years. And I have seen people convert them at Disney Springs! Based on the fact that we know she's wrong on one half of her response I wouldn't hold out much hope on her other half.

Which would you choose? Beverage seminar Sunday 11/3 with Meeker or Monday 11/4 with Biale? Any experience with these wines or presenters? TIA

I don’t have experience with either but generally speaking I have found presentations by the owner or winemaker to be better than “just” a rep/presenter. The two you mention are winemaker and owner, respectively, so I’d bet either would be good. That said, earlier in the thread, someone specifically recommended Bob Biale. I’m local so I made a note in case I can play hooky that day. I forget the story and don’t have time to scroll through now but I think this poster had visited his vineyard previously and was very impressed.

ETA: I just remembered the search function... here’s the post I mentioned

I'm not sure if I should create a "stand alone" post for this or not. Feel free to give me input. :-)

If anyone is interested in California wines (specifically Zinfandel from Napa) and is going to be at F&W November 4th.....go see the Beverage Seminar with Bob Biale! I know him....he's one of the most down-to-earth winery owners I have ever met. The Biale wines are elegant and amazing. They have fantastic stories behind them.

If Mr. Spuds & I didn't already have a Chicago anniversary trip planned for the same date (weeping!) I would find a way to fly down to F&W just to see Bob.

I seriously can't say enough good things about Bob and about Biale wines. Go see him! LOL

I’m looking forward to the festival center being in World showcase. When we do F&W, we’d rather not even go to future world- just extra walking!
So true! I don't know why but when the festival center was over in future world, I usually skipped it because it felt so far away, haha.

For the life of me I cannot picture the building in WS where this festival center will be located!

That’s probably because it’s hidden when not being used. It’s between Canada and England right behind Joffrey’s Coffee.

There is a rather large gate at the end of a short, wide aisleway--Joffrey's and a souvenir stand sit opposite one another with the Canada stage toward Canada and the Restrooms/Phone booths toward UK.

It should come down to your preference of wines. Biale is known for Zins and Petite Sirah, Meeker seems to have a more broad offering with Merlot, Syrah, some Zins. If you don't care one way or the other you can't lose because they are both well-respected. Enjoy!

Anyone here did the Party for the Senses last year? It's $487 for the regular (not the fancy one) for my DH and I. I see a lot of Disney chefs in the chef list and not a lot of external names. Does it include wine with the tastings? How is the quality of the food? Anyone have pics from last year?

I had no idea there was so much construction going on! YIKES!! Seems like they have a LOT of work to do over the next ~20 days until the festival opens! Some of the kiosks are literally in the middle of the construction. A widened path between Imagination and World Showcase sounds good to me... that's always a bottleneck.

Tim showed a lot of it in his video:

I had no idea they were doing as much as they are

I just watched this yesterday and was thinking OMG Epcot is under so much construction! I’m excited for all the changes though. Just wonder they’re going to juggle C construction and festival....we go in November
Yeah there is so much going on, way more than I thought!

I haven’t been in at least 5-years, back when it was around $125pp! Back then there weren’t many “name” chefs but the food was generally delicious. The drinks are included(unless something has changed). There were some excellent wines and some not so spectacular...but I’d go through the list and know where I wanted to go.

I've searched the internet high and low. Had my husband do it too, he's really good at finding things. Does anyone know where there is a printable menu for food and wine? My son and I are going down together, late Sept. We are currently not in the same state. I would like to email him a printable menu. Thanks.

There is a great app. It's on google play
WDW Food&Wine. Lists all the booths, plus allows you to make notes.
