Priceline Express Deals

I have the same room in front of me now for dates in late September and it doesn't say anything about hotel shuttle or airport shuttle. And I read that Disney resorts on PL don't get released until less than a month out.
Priceline does not show airport shuttle for Disney properties through express deal - but Hotwire does!

Are you guys aware the swan and the dolphin are Marriott properties and can be had for a lot less then what people are paying using Marriott LNF . Sure it’s a bit of work but it’s that difficult and great savings can be had
I doubt using LNF would be cheaper than using an express deal or hot rate. I got the dolphin for 106 a night for dates during Thanksgiving week. It was a hotwire hot rate deal. The person ealier got the swan for around 183, reg rate 270 - that is a bit more than the 25% off with LNF with like you pointed out, lots of work (and sometimes those submissions are declined even if seemlingly legit). LNF would be good for people not wanting to use opaque bookings though I guess.

I have used it many times and I will be using it once again . And it’s actually a lot better then going thru PL for a few reasons
Basically If you find it cheaper than what’s on Marriott website you get a further 25% discount . Plus if your elite member get the points and the benefits

Going through transparent or opaque PL? 25% off the lowest price or the Marriott booking? It would be helpful if you supplied more details or pointed to another site that could.

You have to read it because if your not aware of it it’s a whole new world . I was looking at these properties on PL and once I knew they were Marriott i knew I could get it about half the cheapest price with a bit of research

I get the Swan and Dolphin anywhere from $87 to $96, it's mainly the Swan though as we prefer the queen beds, a night on Priceline and Hotwire. Would it be cheaper than that with the LNF?

We are staying the first two nights of our trip this time at the Swan, August 16th-18th through hotwire hot rate $87 a night.

This thread as many of the threads on disboards are about helping others. You can't answer 2 simple questions with a one or few word answer?

Yeah that’s super cheap I don’t think even with weeks of searching I could have got that . But once you consider upgrades and benefits like free breakfast it’s another option to really consider even if you paying a bit extra . I’m going to start this week and see what I can find . The dates I saw on PL for the swan was $146 on the 12-14 September which is way too much I think I can get it Around $100 with the upgrades and breakfast and bonus points .

I am well travelled and the prices I pay amaze even my close friends who ask me for help

Ahh the Look No Further (LNF) program was replaced by the current Best Rate Guarantee (BRG) a few years ago and does not apply to the rates we are getting on Priceline Express (opaque offers). They would apply to regular Priceline or Hotwire offers.

The BRG only apples to posted rates that they can verify directly on a web site or app, no bidding or opaque deals!

*facepalm*

I never suggested that you can use the PL express rates to submit brgs claim . That’s why I said it takes time to research but their program is very flexible with honouring their claims . I will report back once I have a successful claim

Yeah, I don't think that I have the patience to attempt that sort of deal... working with PLE was enough for me (and I never did get a solid grasp of Hotwire).

And for me, at least, it wasn't about finding the lowest rate available; just one that I was comfortable with.

Good luck with finding your price point.

You do realize that you are posting to the Priceline Express Deals thread and not a general thread in Disney Discount Codes and Rates?

Since you just joined the DIS on Saturday, please consider starting your own thread to discuss your great savings deals for Marriott properties.

Slightly off topic, but has anyone ever booked a Priceline Express deal same day (Disney or not)? My mom needed a last-second hotel tonight, and I wasn't sure if the info would propagate through the system in the 30 minutes between booking and her checking in. Booked direct through the hotel tonight to be safe, but curious for the future. This page has me hooked on deals :)

Just for fun I checked ;) Bonnet Creek area - Swan is available for tonight for $111, Dolphin for $93, Hilton Bonnet Creek $79. DS area Wyndham Garden $49, BW LBV $57, B Resort $63.
No Disney resorts showing available in the deals but they are available on the regular transparent page - ASM and Sports are $97.

For Disney, it took about 3 days for my PL Express reservation to show up in Disney's system. For my Wyndham booking, it was there a few hours after I booked through PLE. I don't think any reservation would clear within 30 minutes of booking on PLE since it has to go through PL's system and then the actual hotel's system...but same day is possible. It just depends on the individual hotel chain's system and how quickly it communicates with PL's systems.
