So I just completed my 4th Bank Bonus for this year.

Now the last one was offered by my bank (M&T) where I've had a checking account for 20 years. But there offer was for a new checking account where I have to use the debit card 15x and would get a $100 bonus. I thought it was weird since I already had a checking account with them. But I had a day off from work and decided to go in and just ask.

I was surprised the branch manager said I could do it and signed me up. So I've completed that bonus got the hundred and just this past weekend I got another one from them.

Not sure if this will work again but anyone ever done this? Does it seem they'd let me do this offer again. I mean I wouldn't t mind doing 15 dollar transactions again... :rolleyes1

OMG, I just need to vent! DS12 had a severe panic attack when I tried to drop him off at summer camp this morning at his new private school. He was fine getting ready, the drive there and then when we got there he broke down and refused to get out of the car. After many, many minutes he got out and we walked in (late, of course) and then he refused to go into the room and ran out of the building. Completely frustrated, I start driving us home and we are 10 min into the drive and he says I am ready to give it a try. This time we use a different set of steps and the admissions asst opens the door and she walked him to camp. At that point, he was 45 min late and camp lets out at noon. If this is a snapshot into the Aug 23rd drop-off for the start of the school year, I better have a couple of glasses of wine before we get out of the door because I was beyond frustrated. Now to research strategies for dealing with panic attacks...

I don't have any specific advice to give other than you will both get through this. My oldest DD has some anxiety in new situations and I think the fact that he went back and he's staying are good signs. Is this week specifically for new students? My DD's school does that and I think it really helps on the first day, they're not walking into a totally new situation. Hugs that he comes home talking about all the new people he met today and that this makes the first day much smoother.

@Judique has some really good advice.

Those who have used aa miles to book the swolphin- did you have to call to get the reservation number to link to mde? Or was it somewhere on the confirmation email?

Going away this weekend - 3 of us; two days one night:
Southwest Flights - only paid OOP the 5.60x6=33.60
Hotel - paid for with surveys I completed (IHG property)
Car Rental - will use CSP to pay at counter but will pay that portion of my bill with Discover IT cash back (so no OOP)
Food and incidentals - coming out of our regular monthly budget

So OOP travel expenses are under $35. Will use other OOP money too but not much (and earn some points since paying with CCs).

This is from a self-proclaimed non-churner who earns and burns slowly. So if you are a slow churner or non-churner nearly free /free travel is possible.

(still have a good stash of points across several platforms in my points/cash for travel portfolio)

I'm so annoyed. A lady with a walkwr gets on so I knew she'd need a seat and have no problem that I gave mine up and was ready to before the driver asked but they weren't quite tp me yet. Nevermind that mone of the men offered to for her or me for that matter. Then the guy sitting by where I'm standing ccontinues the complaining he was doing outside. I had to bite my tongue hard not to say anything. The ac isn't cold enough either.

I keep telling my daughter the future appreciation is worth it and by the time she retires, it will be retirement income or she can sell it. She's lucky in that she bought fairly low and the rentals here are high. She also finds it stressful as sometimes she is fixing 2 houses, and cant expect the tenants to live with problems so has to get to them as quickly as possible. She has excellent tenants though.

These people moved in june 1. Unless it's termites I don't get it. And I agree with the reason to keep to an extent but the market in nc for my price point too lk way longer to rebound. I make money each month but I can't guarantee the house will continue to go up if the market crashes again.

Sorry I haven’t posted lately. Just wanted to check and see what the consensus is on CIP#2 and whether people are waiting 90+ days since their last CIP or last chase app period. Next Monday will be 91 days since my MDD.

AFAIK the CIPpy cup is still flowing. DH was approved for CIP#3 last week (but no card in the mail yet so no opportunity to meet MSR and see if SUB posts). It had been 96 days since CIP#2 (SUB posted last month); I think 91 days will be fine.

I saw a comment last night on reddit about new language showing up on CitiBiz mailer applications.

Ah, looks like @miztressuz is noting it too. Removed my link as it was a duplicate.

Apparently I stopped reading the Q thread before that post. When they said they posted last night I'm like "where?" but it got some more responses in the Discussion thread today so I'm glad they decided to repost with more information. We'll have to wait and see what happens to the guinea pigs, although on the surface this one seems more futile than the public link lottery.

Random question:

If you do a credit card "product change", is that considered a "new cardmember" for bonus purposes? Say, I product change a Chase Sapphire Reserve to a Chase Freedom Unlimited?

What happens to my rewards, though? Will they transfer?
DH recently closed his CSP and opened the CFU. Before closing I transferred his CSP points to my CSP. Not sure if the points will transfer on their own. You would probably have to transfer them. If you apply for the CFU before closing the CSR the CFU should appear in your account - then you can transfer the points before closing the CSR.
However - I believe the points stay in your CSR at least until the statement close date - but I am not sure. I transferred DH's points before closing anything.

I appreciate that. It just makes me giggle, really. Remember how much I upset everyone when I posted about apping for DHs SW Biz at the end of last year?
I don't really understand reddit. I have tried to look on there but it was mainly links that @SouthFayetteFan gave me with info. I haven't figured how to do even find anything else on there. I am happy just reading and posting here.

Ugh.... so last night my cat jumped up on the table and spilled DH’s full cup of coffee all over everything, including my ancient MacBook and charger. Well, it appears both are dead now. The light doesn’t come on when I plug the charger in and the computer won’t turn on at all. DH has an old
MacBook I’m going to dig out and see if I can get the charger to work on it, but I’m not hopeful. Im honestly not too upset about The MacBook itself since it’s from 2011, but it’s what I use for YNAB and I’m still on YNAB 4 and don’t want to transition to the new system! Might be time to look for a new computer and a new budget software.

We own at AKV and have only once, in 2009, stayed standard view. Savannah view is my happy place :lovestruc We always take afternoon breaks so that dh can check in with work and answer client phone calls/emails. Whichever kids are with us nap, go on their computers, watch tv, or go to the pool. I take my kindle, a big glass of water, and an adult beverage out onto the balcony to hang with my animal friends :)

I still have to book dd's flight back to school on Jan 12  Who knows how long it will be until I can book everyone for spring break 3/14-20:badpc:

Anyone else going during that same time period as my family, @disneymagicgirl and @Alexle2007 ?
I have been thinking of going that same week 3/14-20, but haven't convinced my DH. We are currently booked 3/2-3/9 but it would be just the two of us since our two kids in college are not on break until 3/14. He wants to do the trip earlier in the month without kids and lower crowds.
