A Reservation Procedure/System Must Be In Place for Galaxy's Edge @ DHS

We go September so just got to suck it and see. Hoping to get Oga reservations though as they are surely going to allow people with reservations though

We have a plan for our trip but I'm sure we will be rearranging it once we hear how the first week goes.

There's not much to do in Pandora if you've already seen it and you're not riding FOP. Of course I am not using any park related apps. I hope they do have a bit more in SWGE though.

Like Pandora and FoP..........................hmmmmmmm

Actually, yes. Consider how hard it was to get Na'vi when Pandora first opened. And I take 'a year' not as a specific date, but more a kind of very rough shorthand approximation.

(Personally, I think it will take a little longer,)

I remember when Mission: SPACE was the new ride with the crazy long wait.
And Frozen...and TSM, TT, EE, all the Harry Potter rides....

The best remain popular, but the intense-new-ride phase fades once newer rides open, especially new rides in that particular park.

up to you if you don't want to play with the play Disney app, there are a lot of things to explore around the land with that

The app seems like a ok thing but with the sun the phone is a bit difficult to see, but yea will try the app for sure.....

The main issue with the over crowdededness at Pandora is the tiering -- since everyone gets the FoP FP .. that standby queue will always be long.

I think SWGE will be able to disperse the crowds betteer due to all the experiences and two big rides.

Plus the existence of other high profile rides in the park (which AK is also lacking except for Everest and the Safari) will help disperse the crowds.

Did I read somewhere that the cast member previews were going to start testing the virtual queue for Galaxy's Edge? Any new info?

Did you know that AK is the largest park in WDW? So a crowd there is really a crowd......

Not only does AK now have some "high profile rides" that are VERY much still in demand but also some really, really good food choices unlike HS, Oga's being primarily a bar and serves basically zero. And with no FP+ for SWGE and no real end for that, the lines/crowds will be there.

AK is the biggest park from a landmass perspective, but it only has what? 8 rides (2 of which were recently added). The reason Pandora is crowded it is everyone there wants to do it .. not much else to disperse the crowds.
It could be argued that no FP+ will HELP with crowds and make the standby line move. I bet we won't see 4 hour lines for MFSR. There is a reason they chose NOT to have Fast Passes for it. To help the line move and not disappoint guests who feel they "can't" experience the new ride because they didn't plan 65+ days in advance_

Then I believe AK has HS beat by what one maybe........HS even with SWGE does not have much more "rides".....per say, SWGE will feel the same just look at the mess Toystory land is and still is WITH the FP+ and it is right next to TSL, talk about crowds.........

Right, as long as you don`t expect a short standby for FOP. Maybe it`ll be the same situation with ROTR.
Very true. I’ll be happy to take in the land and get a few pictures in front of the falcon. Then enjoy everything else in WDW for the weekend.

Actually ak is the biggest only if you count the Safari ride and since guests can't really walk around that land ak is the second largest

I think a virtual queue combined with time limit wristbands is the answer here.
Not sure how time limit wristbands would work. How would cast members know who's time is up, and if they did how would they deal with those who refuse to leave? I agree they will need serious measures to keep guests safe, but aside from the virtual queu or reservation system, I don't know how they will do it?

Not really as from what I read it is still the biggest park w/o the safari shockingly it is a big one and has plenty of room to get even bigger......

With the reservation system in place and I can almost guarantee there will be CM counting heads as they walk in and will stop letting people in IF it hits max capacity, then only the reservations will be allowed in, from what I have read, other then that it seems like it will be a first come thing for awhile.......With nothing really said by Disney yet on a VQ, who knows but for me it seems like the reservation system is the VQ with limited entry up too a certain headcount.......

I should've been more clear. Epcot has larger guest capacity than AK
