Added Trips! Now May, August, October & December!!! What?

Speaking of packing, does everyone pack shampoo and conditioner just incase the hotel doesn't? I do and I never use it! It seems like a waste, but I feel like if I don't, it will be the one time that the room doesn't have it or something!

Usually I do, because I like bringing the hotel bottles home as a souvenir. This time, we're going carry ons only, so I'm trying to seriously limit my liquids. Some people are reporting no more lotion is being provided, though, so I tossed a bottle in.

Your list looks great! You're going to have so much fun.

I am 99% packed up at this point.
And I am 0% :rotfl: I have, however, done my required Target run for travel stuff and have some stuff kinda piled up on a chair in my living room. Does that count? Oh, and I did get my suitcase out last night!

Yes! I always do this and it's always a waste. But... like you said, the first time you don't...

I went to Le Cellier a couple trips ago and absolutely loved it. The atmosphere is so neat! I've had similar feelings about Spice Road... I'd love to go, but a lot of stuff (surprisingly) doesn't really grab me. I contemplated an ADR there this trip but ultimately decided to pass.

If I don't connect with you again before we both head out, have a great trip down and I'll see you SUNDAY at MK!!! :hyper::hyper::hyper:

Did anyone here the rumor about It's a Small World possibly getting characters in it!!!! I am abnormally excitied about this. We LOVE it in Disneyland! And would love to see it in Disney World.

Yess! I hope it's true!

Dessert Parties... So, my children like to spring these things on me last minute, I swear! Gwen was just talking about how she wanted to see Fantasmic again. And that she really liked the dessert box that we got when we saw it. I took a look to see about availability for the 2 nights that we could possibly go. And there are still open. So, I think I am going to just wait and see if we are up for it one night or night.

:rotfl: I'm with Gwen- I love that dessert box too lol. I will say we booked it the day of in June with no issue.

b) alot of the stuff has olives, which Andy and I both aren't big fans of....

This is a big reason I haven't tried it either. I hate olives!

Sooooo, now I am thinking maybe Le Cellier?

My sister and I ate at Le Cellier last August and had a fantastic experience. The food was delicious and our server was amazing.

Yup. I'm very picky about my conditioner though lol

Get a Hot Pink Corkscicle from Wine Bar George, The Basket

Jealous! They were out of the hot pink one in June and I had to settle for a regular one lol

Dan and I really enjoyed Le Cellier when we went last year but thats always a tough decision! I know I worried about Restaurant Marrakesh thinking we'd eat nothing and we actually had plenty to eat!

Your to do list sounds awesome! Definitely hope we get to meet up Saturday night!

Hi everyone!! This will probably be my last post before we leave tomorrow! But I wanted to share my EPIC fail with you all, cause why not...

I totally forgot to check us into our flight on time, and of course we are flying Southwest...And now we are boarding group C! Yikes. Now, I could care less about overhead space, we try to only have under the seat stuff, nor do I care where we sit on the plane but we will need 2 seats of 2 together. there is no way we will get 3 and 1 like we usually try for. Ick. And now I am stressed about it. Family boarding is 6 and under, and I am pretty sure Gwen does not look 6! Which by the way, why in the world is it 6 and under? what stranger wants to sit next to a 7 year old while the parents are on the other side of the plane? Oye! Keep your fingers crossed that it will all work out.

And I am 0% :rotfl: I have, however, done my required Target run for travel stuff and have some stuff kinda piled up on a chair in my living room. Does that count? Oh, and I did get my suitcase out last night!
I guess it kind of counts. But you have to pack for 1 person, which sounds soooooo much easier than the 3 that I pack for.

f I don't connect with you again before we both head out, have a great trip down and I'll see you SUNDAY at MK!!! :hyper::hyper::hyper:
YEAH!!!! See you soon!

Jealous! They were out of the hot pink one in June and I had to settle for a regular one lol
I hope they still have it. We will see!

Crossing my fingers for you for no issues boarding tomorrow! Looking forward to hopefully getting to say hello in person soon!

I am back!!! We had a great trip! And I can't wait to share it. I didn't take any notes during the trip, so I have been typing up notes and collecting pictrues to be more organized this time around. As it is I was racking my brain for a few spots, so I am glad I am getting it all noted now!

I do have future trip planning to update!

First up, I FINALLY got DH to decide on our adults only trip!!! We did have to move the weekend which is a bummer, as I had to let go of our California Grill Brunch reservation. :(

But we are staying at the Boardwalk!!! Andy really wants to try it and it just makes sense. We will be spending the majority of our time between EPCOT & Hollywood Studios. Andy has quickly become a huge fan of that part of the resort and being able to walk / ride the boat to both EPCOT and HS.

I have my mom lined up to stay with the girls at the house the whole time we are gone. So, that will make things easier this time.

We are flying out on an early flight Thursday morning, landing hopefully 11-ish. And then we fly home on Sunday at 3:30, so we will have at least the morning to do something as well.

I do want to check into EPCOT all 4 days, so we can get our coaster sets!

I booked some fastpasses, just so we had something! But for the most part, I am trying to keep this trip open to do what we feel like. I am tempted to make dinning reservations, but keep forcing myself to be more wait and see when we are there.

Possible dinning options:
  • Jiko
  • Flying Fish
  • Wine Bar George
  • Yachtsman Steakhouse
  • California Grill
  • Tiffins
Basically restaurants that I think it would be a waste to bring the girls too. But of course there is all of the food and wine booths as well. Which is why I don't want to book anything.

We also decided on our February Trip!
We decided to be responsible adults and go when the girls have 2 days off. So, we come in marathon weekend and leave Presidents' Day weekend. They have Friday and Monday off of that weekend, so we will probably fly home super late on Sunday, but they have Monday off, so they can rest before heading back to school.

I know it will be busier but we need to suck it up. This way, they are missing 1 full day and 2 half days in December and then 4 full days in February. So, not too bad. Especially since Morgan is in 6th Grade now!

Right now I have us at French Quarter the whole time, but I will probably divide it up, with us switching for the second half to a deluxe at some point. Just don't know which one! Might depend on what Annual Pass deal I can get later? We will see.

This will be our last trip on our Annual Passes, so I think I will do it up again. We will probably wait a year before coming back again, so, It will be a little bit of a last hurah kind of thing. Thankfully I have a little bit of time before I need to book dinning.

As I have to re-focus on our December Trip!!! Which I am super excitied about! And fast pass day is coming up fast!

I love the EPCOT area resorts. The convenience is the best. Looks like, some fun upcoming trips ! My two boys missed a couple of days of school up until high school. It was too much to miss once they got to high school but not as big of deal in middle school .

Thanks! A few people have said that to me. Which gives me hope, gives us a couple more years. Both girls are good students as well, so I like to think the teachers don't mind as much because of that.

Woohoo! I've always wanted to stay at the Boardwalk - actually, any Epcot resort, since I spend most of my time at Epcot on any given trip. And I love the convenience of walking not only to Epcot but to HS, too!
Andy was just saying that he wouldn't be suprised if we spent most of this trip just at EPCOT & Hollywood Studios.

I also found out that they have hot tubs at the quiet pools as well. If that is true, that is a big plus!!!

Sooooo, I just got an alert for California Grill Brunch on our new Sunday. I of course grabbed it! But it is 10:50 and our flight home is 3:30 that day. I am thinking that will be cutting it close. Magical Express will probably pick us up at 12:30 from the Boardwalk. Even if I could get a 10:00 AM reservation, that might be cutting it close. And I don't want to feel rushed when we do this.

What do you guys think?

Maybe we could do brunch at Homecoming on Saturday? I just have it in my head a nice relaxing brunch one day for us....

I agree that it might cut it close. I feel like I wouldn't be able to enjoy brunch because I'd be stressing the whole time.

I'm trying to think if any of the Boardwalk area hotels have brunch options but I can't think of any- maybe at the Swan and Dolphin? I'm not familiar with their restaurants.

If your heart is set on the Cali Grill Reservation, maybe consider taking Uber back to the airport so you have a little more wiggle room!!!
I had thought about that as an option. But I think I might still be stressing about getting there in time.

I know Trattoria Al Forno has that character breakfast. But I would want to save that for when we are with the girls. I will have to see what the Swan has. Good idea!

I booked us Jingle Bell Jingle Bam Dessert party for Black Friday! I am excitied for this. I love the Prep and Landing specials. And I think it will be a fun way to kick off the trip!

I am thinking that we will head to EPCOT before hand and maybe see one of the Storytellers and then head over to HS.

Another vote for Uber! Check your bags with RAC, bring your hand luggage to the contemporary, and take the Uber straight from there to the airport. I'm kinda intense about making it to airports early and even I would be comfortable with that plan.
