It is a two hour window. We got our boarding pass around 10:20 am and received the message that we can now board at 11:55am. It says that our window expires at 1:55pm

But I think that just means you have 2 hours to enter the land, not that you need to leave after two hours

During the reservation period at Disneyland you had 4 hours to be in the land and then we're to leave

I'm pretty sure when they said it was"out of the land" they meant they had it run into some backstage areas, not out into the main part of the park so anyone could get in it. At least that's what I saw pictures of this morning
This is correct. Backstage area near smugglers run.

I’ve checked wait times from home a few times and I’m seeing smugglers run is only 180 minute wait? Are they cutting the line off?

I am starting to think they overfilled the land at first. Might be they didn't want a lot of negative social media of "I've been waiting since 4am and got turned away from SWGE, or maybe they were just worried about the safety issue of that may people packed standing outside the entrance and wanted to move people I think it is enormously promising that it is still opening day and the wait time is 3 hours or less (I saw it dip to 150 earlier)

There are definitely lines everywhere in GE. The rest of the park does not seem that bad. We are heading to EP now and will go back to Batuu later tonight.

I thought Oga’s was really cool. We are at Docking Bay 7. The line was around the corner when we ate. Not sure what time we got in line but had my food around 10:45.

I got to shake Chewy’s hand and we saw Kylo Ren and some storm troopers.

I was in Black Spire Outfitters and they did not have the size of the vest I wanted when I first checked. She said she expected another shipment later in the day. I checked back later and they had more options.

We did wait in line for one photopass photo.

We also rode Star Tours (love the ending), Slinky Dog and TSMM. We did have FP for ST and Toy Story.

We left our room at Boulder Ridge at 6 am this morning and drove to HS. I feel like we got a lot accomplished. We are going back later this evening.

Curious how they are handling those with reservations. We go next weekend and we have a reservation for Savi's but it's only for 2 of us. Not sure if the other two would be able to come into the land with us or if they'd be forced to stay out. Anyone know?
Cast member at disney springs confirmed that they treat each 1 person reservation to savis as a 2 person, so 2 people can get into the land with one res.

A couple of observations:
My boarding group got called and I was 30 minutes past my window cause I was at epcot. They let me in no problem
The app is ridiculously addicting , I'm not a gamer and I have been having so much fun just by using it. Seriously it could keep me entertained for a whole visit
The crowds seem to have settled down from this morning, even though there's is still a wait for everything
Epcot was a ghost town from 10am to noon

Even this morning, entrance into the park was quiet smooth
That new expanded security checkpoint really seemed to help getting in of DHS when I was there for the previews. I think it helped they let people in so early rather than crowding in front of it.

Not sure if the land "capacity" today is going to be the same as when they use the VQ down the road but how was it just walking around, looking in shops etc. I was at DL during the reservation period and it was so pleasant to walk around and you weren't shoulder to shoulder with people and could really take in the land.

Does it feel like they've kept it manageable in terms of how packed everyone is?

DL didn't see this huge rush like this though. DL has only actually used the boarding groups once or twice to my knowledge. I would expect WDW to use it a bit more.

The VQ kicked in at 6am when the land reached capacity. This morning it was crazy busy, very very crowded, right now, we're still using vq but it's not that tcrowded, still very busy
