It Was Worth The Shots

Welcome aboard the “It Was Worth The Shots” trip report! We’re about to take a grand circle tour of Walt Disney World, with stops along the way at the Old Faithful club and Polynesian. Just sit tight and keep your hands, arms, feet, and legs well inside the train. We’re leaving Main Street Station right now, so wave goodbye — but if you stay on board long enough, why, sooner or later, you’ll be back.

We’re back with another crazy adventure around the most magical place on earth!

Sam

I’m Sam, I’m the planner and note taker of the trip. I’m A Disney lover, AP holder, DCP alum, future Golden Oak resident.

Erin
48618010488_ac04e392d5.jpg

Erin didn’t choose the Disney life, she just sort of got sucked into it when she became my friend. She’s obsessed with storm troopers, mickey bars, and tumble monkeys.

KC…Kiss

Kiss the the baby of our Disney obsessed family. He’s the number 1 fan of everything epcot and everything space themed.

Danielle
48618036443_86ac0f16f2.jpg

Danielle is the eldest in the fam and this is her first time joining her siblings on a Disney getaway. She would happily join the grim grinning ghosts and be the 1000th happy haunt.

When: August 9 - August 19
Where: Wilderness Lodge Club level followed by Polynesian
Why: Erin was dancing in disney! And because we are all AP holders so why not.

Looks like we’re ready to embark on the next leg of our journey! Our destination is Main Street, U.S.A. Now, everyone stay seated, and keep your hands and arms, feet, and legs inside the train at all times. And please, keep an eye on your children.

Rush To Disney To Sit On Benches

We like to start our disney day as early as we can and today the alarm was going off at 4am. Our plan was to head to the airport around 4:30 and I made sure to tell everyone this plan. So when it was almost 4:30 Danielle was still sleeping and Kiss had to wake her up and get her moving because Erin was already at the airport waiting for us. Casual things.
We quickly made our way to the airport and found Erin with all our luggage tags and boarding passes printed out. What a great friend. Security was a breeze and we were “entertained” at the gate by a huge family reunion going to Disney….AKA they were all fighting and complaining how it was going to be a long week.
Fast forward, we got on our plane and the next 2.5 hours was me trying to sleep but failed miserably.

48618541907_83f12a3e87.jpg

We landed in Orlando at 8:30 and made our way too the Magical Express.

48618036548_87ffca30dc.jpg

48618541262_aea4e1cc8d.jpg

The bus ride over is never really all that exciting. Alicia (my other sister) texted me wanting to know what are plan was for the day, Brittany (my friend who moved to florida after our DCP) texted me saying “Welcome home” and I was beyond excited to see both of them.
We got to Wilderness lodge around 9:30ish. As we were getting off the bus a CM greeted us all by name and while it was creepy we should all know by now that Disney is forever tracking us with the magic bands.
I’m OBSESSED with this resort, it might be the native in me but I was super happy to be calling this place home for the next 10 days.

48618383736_710c438f51.jpg

Our room wasn’t ready when we got there and in a normal situation this would be ok. However although we did do online check in I still headed to the front desk because they normally send down someone to get you when you are staying club level. So while we waited for our new CM friend, we were greeted by the dance studio gang who had gotten there earlier. It was a quick greeting before they were all off to the parks.
We were told to wait in the lobby and someone will come down with our name on a clipboard. We waited right by the elevators so we were easily found. As we waited we played the game of…should we just check our bags now since it was right there. We should have but we didn’t. Instead Loyda made her way from outside over to the elevator, the poor lady was waiting outside for us. She asked us if we have ever stayed at WL, yes. And if we had stayed club level at WL, yes. Everyone except Danielle. So we headed up to the 7th floor, though the gate and arrived at the old faithful lounge. It didn’t take too long before we all grabbed some breakfast.
Today was a very special day because it was HAM DAY! This became mine and Erin’s favorite mornings the last time we stayed here. Every other day they have ham out and every other day we make ourselves ham sandwiches for breakfast.
We enjoyed our breakfast, got our lives situated, put our bags in storage and then we were off to MK, because honestly where else would I go my first day in Disney?!
The boat transportation won the battle of boat or bus because the boats are the best. On our way over we all got the dreaded “change in your experience” notification. Splash was down and I was BUMMED. That feeling quickly disappeared as we docked right outside of the kingdom.

48618393756_7f95352b27.jpg

It was a glorious…hot day in the kingdom, and we had no plans of what to do. The normal pull to tomorrowland was nixed from the beginning since we had thunder FP before Space. So we headed towards adventure land in hopes of pirates being a short line like the app said.
When we got there the line was out side of the queue and wrapping. I’ve hit the point in my life where I am not willing to wait for rides anymore. So instead we sat in Tortuga because no one could choose what to do. That lasted all of 5 minutes because why did we rush to the park just to sit in Tortuga?!
We wondered aimlessly around frontierland, I suggested Tom Sawyers Island and got shut down. Danielle wanted to check the line for the HM 50th merchandise. That was a nightmare, they had everything in the frontier trading post where the line looped a few times in front of the shooting arcade, through the DVC stand and ending in front of liberty tree. So we stood outside of the Golden Horseshoe once again playing the “What should we do” game when Kiss froze and goes “Your best friend is right behind you. And in that panic mode I just felt my shoulders raise as if they were going to hide me. But thanks to Kiss’s sunglasses I could see Wendell coming out to greet guests, so that was a breath of fresh air.
Apparently not for Erin though because bears can smell fear and they always go after her.

48627471896_f00205f41e.jpg

48627123593_3c006c34f2.jpg

Danielle decided to jump into the dying down HM merchandise line since we had no plans anyways. While she did that I was not feeling the whole waiting outside in the florida humidity so this time we found a nice bench inside of Pecos. We started to make jokes about not coming to Disney for the attractions anymore just the seating options since that is all we had accomplished this far.

48618384351_4c380dd3a8.jpg

At this point Sam became popular, which is so unlike her. Alish was texting me saying she was on her way to the park, Amelia was texting me asking if we could meet up after she got off Thunder, and one of my old students mom was texting me asking if we could meet up after they got off the jungle cruise. Spoiler alert the old student was going to win this round.
Amelia, mother Krista, and uncle Michael found us lounging in Pecos. And this is the point of the trip where I thought it would be funny to create an instagram of Disney benches and rate them. (the instagram account was never made but for the rest of the trip I was taking pictures on benches)
Evi’s mom texted me saying they were done with Jungle cruise and I ditched the group. Kiss followed close behind and I told him upon arrival that she was going to be a shy quiet kid, she won’t talk much when her parents are around. I found them waiting outside the carpets near the tikis.
Lets back track, after I finished my DCP I came home to a toddler lead position at my work and sweet baby Evi was a kid in my first class. I got to watch her grow for a year and a half, from 18 months till she turned 3 and once she aged out of my class her parents pulled her from the center. I became super close with the family during the time she was in my class, her mom, Nicole would tell me how she was Miss Sam more than she was Evi most days and when she left she told me there would always be a little bit of Miss Sam in her, like break my heart. I’ve stayed in touch with the family over the past 3 years and I was super excited when I found out our trips overlapped. Her dad, Jake, was the one who insisted that we met up because in his words “We have to have Evi see you. Let’s make this happen. She’ll explode” and I can’t say no to that. Her mom texted me a few days prior to ask me if I would go on a ride with her. So thats what we were gonna do today.
When I met up with them I was not expecting everyone to follow me, I mean I sort of jumped up and left the group. But they did and Nicole was worried that she was taking me away from my group…but I was with them for the next 10 days, we’re ok.
Evi picked Peter Pans Flight to ride and I was not looking forward to the long line. However they saved FP for us so we didn’t have to wait in line and that was a magical thing. So we headed over to fantasyland and I got to hear all about their trip. Only me and Evi rode PPF while her parents and baby sister waited near Pinocchio’s for us to get off. The second we stepped in line Evi just exploded with every little detail about her time in Disney. This girl went to every character meal possible but her favorite restaurant was California Grill. Her favorite character she met was the step sisters. And with just those two little details I knew a little bit of Miss Sam was still in her.

48618047018_73f84fffe6.jpg

48618530042_ba6e6b57d6.jpg

As we were waiting in line I heard my name being called, and there was Alish standing outside of the line getting ready to throw me the ring I have been waiting forever for. 10 out of 10.
It’s been a hot minute since I have been on PPF and I now remember why, the wait is not worth the short ride. But never the less its a cute attraction.
Once we got off we found Evi’s parents, before we parted ways Jake asked me if I would be willing to come to Disney with them in a few years when the girls get older and run the parks with them so the parents could relax at the resort. That’s not even a serious question for me…absolutely yes.
They headed to Buzz for a FP and I found Alish waiting outside of Phil waiting for the group to come out. We headed in the not very AC gift shop to browse while we waited and soon they came out. Then it was once again back to the “What should we do” as we stood out in the blazing florida sun. Our FP for thunder was about to be good so we headed back to Frontierland.

Kidney Stones and Thunder Mountain

As we all know it is a very good idea to get your FPs 60 days out so you won’t have to wait in the long lines for popular attractions. Well the thunder FP line was miserable and I wouldn't even call it a FP line. Thanks to Splash going down I assumed everyone was using their Fps for that at thunder making the wait awful, as it was all in the sun.
Once we made it too the somewhat ACed air we asked the CM if we could get the back cart. Theory has it sit in the back seat to help with your kidney stones and guess what a member in our party was struggling with kidney stones yet again. Not me, I learned my lesson and chug water like its my job, however Danielle was not so lucky.

48618384086_3ee63b3d4a.jpg

When you all just want to grab hold of the dinosaur bones…I would literally need to stand up to reach one and that is not safe.

48618539962_18d93fe6e1.jpg

48618384111_8dc7ab153e.jpg

Once we got off of thunder there was a sad little photo pass CM waiting for someone to get their picture taken. Don’t mind if we do.

48636593253_cab60a9652.jpg

48636593308_9104cf81bf.jpg

And we learned that the geyser outside could somewhat replace splash mountain for the day and cool us off a bit.

48618036593_dc20cd4132.jpg

We had a while till we had to head over to the other side of the park for our space FP so we headed to the splash gift shop to find Alish and then we decided to stay in frontier land and get some AC in my favorite frontier land show.
Since we sort of headed the other way from Amelia and Fam she texted me what our plan was after Thunder, so they met us for country bears because we all love those bears.

48618047313_94f475dc1f.jpg

During the show I turned to Danielle and asked her if she remember those good old days when she came in here willing when our mother would drag us here because she liked a guy named Max at home and Max was the deer in Country bears. Wow love that.
After Country bears we were in need of some food so we headed to Pecos. Erin wasn’t a fan of the menu so she ran to Colombia Harbor house to get nuggets.
Now I swear by kids meals, they are “cheap”, I know I will finish the meal and it comes with a drink. So I got the chicken rice bowl and headed over to the toppings bar to stock up. Then with the money I saved with the kids meal I got churros because….churros. However that chocolate sauce that comes with it is trash, would not recommend

48636603843_c8bfbcdf4a.jpg

Kiss went with the beef nachos and the spicy chocolate cake, it wasn’t the spicy yule log they ran out of at the christmas party but it was close enough.

48636593698_7a98f98d06.jpg

Danielle also went with the kids meal and Alish played the Ma card and created a salad at the toppings bar. However I thought a kids meal would be small but it was never ending so I ended up splitting it with Alish.

48636947401_2e956c285b.jpg

Todays lunchtime talk was all the 411 on the oldest sisters love life…while Kiss and I just sat there agreeing as too why we don’t put ourselves through that sort of thing. We were in such a deep conversation that Erin told me we missed our Space FP. Well don't we love that.
But not too worry, Splash seemed like it was not going to reopen anytime soon, so we decided to use that FP for Space.
This actually worked out nicely because Alish didn’t have FP (because she was originally suppose to be working) and Danielle had a different time FP for space (because she switched her flight to the early one and scrambled to FP too match ours) so Alish used Danielle’s splash one.
We made our way over to tomorrowland and found a ridiculous line for Space. Casual things. However we had a very entertaining wait so it was ok. First Erin decided to join in the trend of texting her number neighbor, we all got airdrops to follow someone on instagram, Amelia shared her hand sanitizers and we all smelled like men, And it was a constant “who do you work for?” “Scoops, scoops ahoy”
Before we got in our rockets Krista and Mike headed on first. Mike left Amelia with his phone and wallet to put in her backpack for safe keepings. We however had other plans and took some photos while we waited to launch off into space…still waiting too see those photos.

48668722726_257bdf5482.jpg

48668722741_1db1653a98.jpg

Then the second I got off the ride I was reminded of how much a disliked the new exit and the awful ramp.
We accomplished what we needed to for a day in the kingdom (besides splash and was still kind of sad about that) But before we did head back to the resort to check out our room I needed to get a photo in front of CoP.

It took a while to get that good pic
A CM came over and told me to get down because Safe-D my friends

48636603693_eb4ba59f0c.jpg

48636592763_4a132d9450.jpg

I don’t know how many times I can say it but it was hot so I wasn’t all that said about leaving. Alish had to head to CM parking while the rest of us headed out of the park. FoF was about to make its way down Main Street and if it wasn't so steamy I might have waited.
Making it before the parade crowd lets out is always a good choice, but once we made it out no one could make a decision about boat or bus. We headed in the bus direction so that just happened and we probably would have been better off waiting for a boat. It seemed like a bus was never coming and the Golden Oak stop was teasing me across the way.

48668470538_43f477582f.jpg

After what felt like an hour of waiting a bus finally came and it was a quick ride back to WL.
Once getting back to the resort we were finally about to check out the room and we were hoping for a good room location. We scanned ourselves into the Old Faithful Club and were excited to find out that our room was the first room (closest room to the food, we love that) and we had a MK view.

I always appreciate a lurker coming out of the lurkdom. Thank you for joining along!

Love your shirt and your tattoo!

It didn't seem to do anything for her.
Thank You! CoP trash right here!

Living Our Best Lives

We had some time to lounge around, unpack and chill before our fun night out. As we were making ourselves at home for the next 10 days, Alish just sat around watching us asking when food comes out at the Old Faithful Club. We had until 5 before the “dinner” was out, so she kept saying we had to take a picture with the bears because it came up in her memories on Facebook. She apparently didn’t realize that the bears she was talking about were christmas decorations.
However we still headed down to the lobby to recreate our Brother Bear picture. It was a group effort and we tried to decide where to take it. We opted for the bridge but then Chip and Dale came over to doing special greets on said bridge. I’m sorry chip and dale but you are ruined our picture. Luckily it was only one picture with one guest so it was quick.
Heres the Jan 2015 right after my DCP ended picture (The first time I stayed at WL and fell in love with the club level life)

48680320731_9b6f5680ec.jpg

Flash forward to August 2019

48679947693_683db4f365.jpg

Once we got back to the room it was time for some dinner in the lounge.
Tonights meal options were a 10 out of 10. They had shepherds pie, which I wish I could have a bowl on it now. I also got pasta as well, which is the “kid” option. We took our “meal” back to the room while we would head back for more if we wanted it.
Struggles about our room was that it was very finicky about when it wanted our magic bands to work. We headed to the desk at the old faithful club to figure out the problem with our magic bands. I wish I got the CMs name because she was great. She told us that we didn’t have to sit there and that she would come to the room to test the bands. Maybe 5 minutes after we got back to the room she knocked and yelled through the door that she was testing the bands now. It didn’t work so she went back, two minutes later she was back. They worked and she stuck her hand through the crack of the door
Tonights big adventure was Jellyrolls, a groups favorite. Whats not the favorite is the price of the drinks there. So we had to take things into our own hands. Knowing we were staying club level we had the luxury of beer and wine offerings whenever you wanted. Along with that we also brought mini shot bottles because we knew we would have the mixers in club level. So a dollar mini bottle drink was the better option then Jellyrolls prices.
While we waited for Brittany to show up at WL we made some drinks to pregame. It got so crazy that Danielle was pouring fireball into her wine….or thats what we all thought because she had a wine glass filled with coke.
Around 6:45 Brittany was telling us she was just driving by space mountain, so we headed to the front of the resort where I found a bench to test out.

48680450422_f19e1cc11a.jpg

This bench gets a 5 from me. At this time of day it was in the sun, not very themed, and is basically just used for those waiting for the tragical express.
Alish left the party…she had overnight rehearsal so she was headed back home to nap before that.
Brittany aka our fake uber for the night came pulling up. And a CM came running up to open the doors for us. She shouted “I’m there uber….just kidding, I actually know them” the CM did not at all care. We were off to the boardwalk! As we were driving over I randomly let them know that that was the road we would be running on in November for the wine and dine 10k. Brittany was a little scared for Erin when she said she hadn't even started training for it.

48680452661_82fb2009ef.jpg

We got to the Boardwalk and our first stop for the night was Abracadabar. This has been on my places to try for a while, it just took longer than planned.

48680452666_dcc361d8a2.jpg

48680467127_2283df7d1d.jpg

48680466587_bc00c416ef.jpg

First thoughts, we appreciate all the details and cozy atmosphere. We arrived just in time for a table to open up for us and we were lucky enough to snag the couch. Couch…bench? lets review it.
10 out of 10…comfy, cute decorative pillow, could easily fall asleep or take a nap on (since the whole being up since 4am thing)

48680299106_12b7887b91.jpg

I went with the seashore sweet: absolut citron, odwalla lemonade, and cotton candy syrup. Super sweet, kind of upset it didn’t come with cotton candy like it previously did.
Erin and Brittany got the Magic Mirror - bacardi rum, soda water, mango syrup, sprite and lime juice.
Danielle got the Elixir - lucid absinthe, sugar cube and water
Kiss got the famous conjurita - el mayor tequila, cointreau, simple syrup and lime juice. This special margarita changes colors, well its suppose to. The waiter came over to do the magic trick and when he poured it back into the glass it hardly changed colors, he was embarrassed but hey it happens.
Brittany also ordered a side of truffle fries…and they were the greatest fries I have ever had.

48679957168_244e02d784.jpg

As much as we loved this new little hang out, we had a date with jellyrolls. So we headed out of the abracadabar. But before we went to Jellyrolls our pregaming still wasn’t quite done. Since Brittany drove here she couldn’t come up to club level for a shot. That however didn’t stop us from not being at all classy on the boardwalk.

48680452401_5cb4c80d0b.jpg

It was a little after 8 and it was time to go sing along with some talented piano men all night long. First things first, what is the stamp of the night?
Not surprising at all since halloween starts in August here in Disney

48680443612_00ddeb2def.jpg

It was a slow start to the night, which honestly I feels like what happens all the time here. So we had to create our own fun for a bite, so here I was rearranging furniture in Jellyrolls. But honestly why people still want to be seen out in public with me? beats me.
Tonight I felt this bench thing taking off….

48680450372_ceb328d552.jpg

We got settled in, grabbed ourselves the special $12 drink of the night and we were ready

48679946868_eabd606b28.jpg

After the first set, things started to pick up. And lets be real it started off great because they chose my song and not any song. Baton Rouge. I requested this last time and when they didn’t sing it Brittany shouted it on the boardwalk to me.
“Hello Samantha dear I hope you're doing fine” 4 year old Sam thought this song was for her and only her. And then playing it tonight was great!
Now being here for about 5 hours…a lot happened, a lot of songs played. So here are the hight lights.

When Jordan (we dubbed him the broadway guy when he sang wicked the last time we were here) came out, he sang another one of my requests, Hamilton - You’ll Be Back.
Brittany’s request was soon after… You Make My Dreams Hall & Oates. As she shouted this is going to be my wedding song.

Then my friends things got crazy. First they pulled up a girl from the audience to lead everyone in a dance because it was her 21st birthday. Everyone stood up and joined along…and I mean everyone. Every bartender jumped up onto the bar top, so it was pretty serious.

48685793776_53cf0fb58d.jpg

Then they pulled up a husband and wife to play My Bonnie game and the wife was very well intoxicated that she ran over to sit on the lap of the piano man. She was quickly removed.

48685966752_3e8da15ff6.jpg

And sometimes you just need some American love. Because next thing you know 2 of the guys came running out with big american flags as we sang Proud to Be An American

48685793961_1ff9cc4836.jpg

I would be lying if I didn’t say this was one of my favorite moments out of the whole trip. This night really started us off with a bang for this trip. It may sound super cheesy but there is nothing better than laughing till your belly hurts with your best friends.

48679955788_85662f2066.jpg

48680275216_e1f1640a9f.jpg

We all hit a wall….some of us literally. So we decided that it was a good time too head out.

48680281736_d5bb4e0110.jpg

Before we left the Boardwalk for good we had a few things left that we had to do. First get more bench pictures? Yes, because the boardwalk benches are iconic. And while I was heading over to the bench next thing I know Danielle is flinging her shoe at me. It was close to going over the railing and into the lake, good thing it didn’t because those were her only shoes she brought.

48680298846_ec6f732b8b.jpg

48679947943_d4343b813d.jpg

As Erin would say "Did you even go to Jellyrolls if you don't match the walls?"

48680449932_4d8e0d0b1a.jpg

And lastly, what we love to do after a night of Jellyrolls is squeeze ourselves into the Photo Booth. Sorry for anyone staying at the resort because we were SUPER loud laughing trying to figure out how to work it.

Danielle was bored so we all made our way back to Brittany’s car and headed back to WL. Thank your Uber Brittany for the free ride home. And after being away for more than 20 hours straight we all hit the pillows hard.

I'm glad I'm not the only Sam who loves this song!

Sounds like a great night at Jellyrolls. Smart use of the CL offerings too!
Probably the best Jellyrolls night I have ever had

Wow! Your enthusiasm is contagious. I love this report!
Thank you so much!!!

This Is Why I Can't Have Nice Things

It’s a new thing when you get to sleep in on a Disney vacation. And apparently my body didn’t want to have any of that because while today was the day I could sleep in I was awake before 8am. At this point Erin was already up, she got the luxury of dancing at Disney Springs today so she was up getting ready. And by that I mean she was in and out of the room looking for everyones magic bands.
I assumed she headed out for some breakfast and got locked out of the room, which she then would have had to get her magic band fixed once again to open the door. The CM helping her this morning said she needed everyones magic bands in the room and who’s couldn't she find? Mine because I was so tired the night before that I didn’t take it off. causal things.
Since I was up I decided to head to the old faithful lounge to grab some breakfast. The apple danish looked a lot better than it actually was but the oatmeal station never lets me down, plus the new mickey sugar cubes get a 10 in my book.

48702218227_e3e96b1787.jpg

Amelia came up to our room so Erin could do her hair and make up

I got ready for the day, we were headed to springs to watch them perform and then head to Epcot afterwards.
The girls had to head down to the lobby to meet the rest of the studio people at 10. So I walked my child AKA Erin down, since basically every other dancer had their family in the lobby with them. Plus Erin and I play mom for each other all the time #friendshipgoals

Once they started getting ready to take group photos thats when I met up with Kiss and Danielle and we headed off to catch a bus to Disney Springs. The springs bus stop it located directly in the sun, so waiting for it was honestly deadly. The bus time kept getting pushed back so we headed back into the lodge and browsed the gift shop.
One thing we appreciated this trip is the bus times right on the app. But the worst part was we waited for about a half hour to 40 mins for a bus and I was already hitting a wall and the day hadn't even started.
We made it too springs a little after 11, leaving us with about an hour before we had to head to the water side stage. Every time I step foot in Disney springs it just makes me happy, your DCP home will always hold a special place in your heart.
First things first, get food. Were we hungry? Not at all. But we needed to see what the hype was with Chicken Guy. We seemed to come at a good time because maybe 5 minutes after getting into line they had to start a line outside before coming inside and waiting in that line. So with it being so popular it should be good?
First I think this place is so popular because it has a lot of sauce choices and I’m all here for that. So I went with the 3 piece chicken strip and got sweet and sour and garlic parm. Then I had to add on fried pickles because fried pickles and those came with the buttermilk ranch.

I would definitely eat here again…plus the mac and cheese also looked really good.

When you just want to be like the chicken guy

After lunch we headed over to the market place where we found ourselves drawn to WOD. How do I feel about the new look? Honestly kind of miss the old look but the new one feels more open which is nice.
I walked through not seeing all that much stuff I needed which seemed shocking to me. Until we got to the mugs and I think I picked up like 5 I wanted. Do I drink coffee every day? No. Do I drink tea everyday? No. Do I have a problem with buying Disney mugs? Yes.
We quickly got out of WOD before I spent any money and we just so happened to go out the exit closest to Basin. If you don’t now I’m OBSESSED with the hand scrub, its a must do whenever I’m in a Basin.
As we walked in I found out Danielle had never been inside of Basin, therefore does not know the magic of the hand scrub. She didn’t think it would live up to the hype, but boy did it live up to the hype. You're welcome.

Now rewind to yesterday, Alish gave me the ring I have been waiting for. I saw it over a year ago and then a year later Alish said she would use her holiday CM discount since it wasn't cheap

Fast forward back, and while we were at basin I thought the scrub wouldn't be the best for the new ring so I put it into Kiss’s pocket. Since Both him and Danielle told me it would probably be best. Did the scrub at it was golden. Loving life.
We had 15 minutes until show time so I asked if Kiss would run to the Disney Spring sign with me so I could get a picture with. So we headed over to the Saratoga bridge to the sign.

At this point we had to head back to the water side stage to get ready for the performance. As we were passing the goofy candy company I reached down to play with my rings on my hands, which I always do and my stomach dropped. There was not a ring on my finger. The worrying only lasted a second when I remembered they were in Kiss’s pocket. I asked for them pack and he pulled one out. Ha ha good prank can I have the other one. At the point he thought I was joking and said there was only one in his pocket. He pulled everything out of his pocket, looked in his wallet, nothing…..at this point I was upset but also not shocked because thats how my life is.
We back tracked to see if we dropped it from Basin to the sign, no luck. The studio was already dancing, I was frustrated, so I asked if Kiss could go back to Basin and see if it was there. Sam had to play mom and watch her daughter dance even though she was hating herself for basically throwing away her money.
I stood in the blazing sun being a good friend, melting, trying not to cry, it was a really great moment in my life.
But heres Erin being cute

When the finale started I had to peace out. Kiss said the workers at Basin didn’t see it and he walked back to the sign. I, for myself, had to re walk the area. No ring was found. So the last thing I could do was go to Guest Relations and put in a lost items form.
Danielle was no where to be found, so Kiss called her telling her we were heading over to the bus loop. My mood change drastically and I felt bad because Kiss was blaming himself saying he would buy a brand new one. I wouldn't except that, so we left it and headed to Epcot in hopes of lifting our spirits up.

Then I had to add on fried pickles because fried pickles

This is a true statement, love fried pickles

I would definitely eat here again…plus the mac and cheese also looked really good.

Same

No ring was found.

Oh no! That is such a bummer. I hope it gets found.

Oh no :sad1: I hope your ring turned up!

Erin looks great dancing in DS. What a fun experience.

It never did, but I've learned to move past it and appreciate that it was just the plain band I lost.
