Why did I think the Staples deal ended today? I rushed in at 8:58, 2 minutes before close, and purchased $1k without any problem. I guess I can head back tomorrow to grab more.

6 months and 7 days and DS can get an AU card...not that I am counting down or anything....

I think I need a card for DH to liquidate the $100 and $50 cards fastener. Although I think the $50 ones may be teacher gifts. I am thinking private school teachers are expecting nicer gifts for the holidays?

I'm sure they will appreciate a $50 visa or mc. There may also be a gift policy in effect.

Definitely something to monitor! Now I am hesitant to apply for the card if WDW resorts are off the portal again combined with the recent bonus language change. I figured 1 card could get me a few nights in a value. Now I am unsure. I bet @SouthFayetteFan is very happy he booked CR when he had the chance!!!

I could be wrong, but I don't know if values have shown up on there. I thought mod and deluxe. At least, I don't recall seeing any values. Maybe it was just my dates, though.

I swear someone overseas is making these decisions. App’d at 6 am and I am still at 30 days 15 hours. I fully expect to wake up an approval.

Good luck last app for DH took 2.5 days I was starting to stress some. Normally it doesn’t take that long

It was me!! Got DHs pop up to go away with it! Well I haven’t tried again but at least it’s a card! If delta vacations does the offer again the points will come in handy!

The values were on the AA site briefly back in early 2018. I could bring up all resorts then. Once the summer promos were pulled on March 24, it took about a month for the wdw resorts to show back up and when they finally did, it was only mods and deluxe. Our original plan was Pop and then YC but we had to scrap all that once the resorts and promos all changed.

Interesting! I actually wondered about that. I don’t have any travel credit left right now. Unless I get DH a Plat. Which I want to do but have held off. Is that a good enough reason to go for it? With the DP’s is there a certain minimum amount that is working?

I only saw 2 DPs, one was $20 and the other $89. But on Flyertalk, Delta plane tickets for <$250 (possibly <$200) seem to be working if it's a partial payment (so people use a GC to pay for part of it). It may be the same with the vacation packages.

These things change so fast though. If you decide to get the Plat, you'd just have to be prepared to roll with the punches.

Some of the offsite hotels are closer than paradise pier but there really is something special about being in the bubble.

There’s a lot of value in being less than 5 min stumbling distance to Trader Sam’s, lol! Enjoy!

Holy moly, who posted the tip about trying the 75k Delta Biz Plat offer from Deltas website to get out of pop up jail???? I tried a referral for my dh for a pers plat for 75k MRs. I really want some MR's, didn't like the fee, but of course got the dang pop up...again. So then I found that 75k Delta Biz plat offer, only on one browser would it pull up, and he was approved!!! Got the card number and everything!!! Of course I don't even think these will help, as I don't think Delta flies lie flat to Hawaii at the end of August, but hey, maybe it will help the pop up and they never expire!
Only issue is, it would not let me put in his skymiles number, so hopefully I can get them merged ok.

I was hoping to not have to, as all summer they fly direct from here but it seems to stop at the end of August

I redeemed my inability to figure out where to go w/ the Delta deals by using my Hilton free night expiring next month to book the Waldorf in Chicago for a girls weekend. I debated taking my kids, but I feel like they won't fully appreciate the hotel, LOL. When I called in to book it, the customer rep was SOOOO excited! She's like YES! She told me she's so happy I'm using it for a $$$ property. She said when someone calls in and uses it on a Hampton Inn she cringes, LOL.

They also made a note on my reservation for the $100 credit. So that should by me a bottle of water, LOL.

One of my biggest things right now it that my kids will always want to travel with me. I literally pray for it!!

Not only do my adult kids jump at the chance to travel with me, they keep bringing friends to my house for the weekend. I guess I did something right. My boy went to process into his base on Tuesday, he's within driving distance now. Today he showed up with a friend to stay here for the weekend. I cherish these days.
