What the heck is a Can't Wait Card'

Context would for sure be helpful. I mean, if I am just guessing this could mean anything from a greeting card you send to a co-vacationer to share the excitement (i.e., "can't wait for our trip!"), a disability access pass (i.e., "we can't wait in lines due to a medical condition"), or a cute name for a gift card.

Not sure, but I know I have heard it in context to something Europe uses for those with IBS to be able to access bathrooms in places that do not have public bathrooms.

I’m not seeing the connection between this and Disney World? Not trying to be snarky. Disney has plenty of restrooms...you’re never far from one.

I think it might be useful for those who have been waiting patiently in a line, and just HAVE to step out. Show it to the CM, and they'll let you back in to where you were. Not positive on this, but I think that's what I read a while ago.

I'm not so sure how realistic that really is. Many lines are difficult or impossible to back track to the same spot in, especially considering the line will have moved while you are gone. Some CMs *may* give you a FP to re-enter a line if you have been waiting a while and tell them on the way out that you have to leave to use a restroom, but you don't need a card for that, and it's really up to the individual CM on if they will do it or not.

There are 16 states that have passed the Restroom Access Act, otherwise known as Ally's Law, which requires certain retail businesses to allow patrons with certain medical conditions to use the restroom, even if there's no public one. The Crohn's and Colitis Foundation allows members to order an "I can't wait" card to show to businesses in these states that don't have a public restroom. (You could try showing it in another state that hasn't passed Ally's Law, but there's no requirement that they let you use the restroom). Not all retail businesses in these states are bound by the law (particularly if there are not enough employees working to escort someone to the restroom without leaving the store unattended). Each state has their own requirements and allowable medical conditions.

The "I can't wait card" does not allow you to skip restroom lines or save places in other queues while you use the restroom. It simply helps you notify a business that doesn't have a public restroom that you have a medical need to use one and if it is one of the states that passed the Restroom Access Act, they *may* be required to allow you to use it.

I thought it was something to do with anxiety issues stopping people from being bale to wait in lines for rides?

This is great for those that need the DAS card for their restroom needs. It will help to discreetly explain to the guest services CM why they need a DAS card.

You're thinking of a DAS pass. It allows visitors with disabilities including autism, intellectual and developmental delays, etc to scan their bands at the CM kiosks at the front of each attraction. The CM then assigns a time to return to ride the attraction. This way, the visitor and their family can "wait" in a place that is easier for the visitor to tolerate. For example, we'll get a DAS for our kiddo for 7 Dwarves, go let her ride things with shorter lines or let her find a quiet place to spin around in circles to get her sensory needs fulfilled and then return to ride when our time (60 min or whatever) has passed. Hugely helpful for families like ours!
