Anyone on here made the switch from Marriott to Hilton? I travel quite a bit for work, maybe 40-50 nights a year. I used to make up the other 25-35 nights needed for what is now Titanium with Marriott through having 2-3 of their co-branded cards, as you'd get 15 elite nights per card. Since they took that away last year, it looks like I'm going to be short this year. I'm lifetime Platinum, and they've also taken away the ability to get lifetime Titanium, so there's nothing else for me to do there. I guess I'm thinking this might be a good time to make the switch. I have Hilton Gold through the Amex biz. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

As an aside, I know a lot of you are fans of Hyatt, and I am interested in that but the place I travel to most for work doesn't have one, so it wouldn't do me much good right now.

I haven't completely made a switch but I do embrace more flexibility in NOT booking Marriott for every trip now. Marriott has made too many negative changes for me to remain blindly loyal. That said, I do have 4 reservations with them for the next year. So apparently it's a sloooow change, lol.

If you're lifetime Platinum, then I think becoming more of a free agent allows you great flexibility. Have you considered the Amex Aspire for Diamond status?

What bank account bonuses are everyone working on?

My BoA $300 bonus posted earlier this week and my SoFi Investment $150 bonus/support also posted.

Of course now I’m looking for what to do next.

Thinking of the $500 business checking bonus at 5/3. I’ve done their personal ones and they’re pretty easy to deal with. Good for MO deposits too and several local to me. I hate going in branch so P2 will handle this one :)

Looking at Citi checking $400 for P2 as well since I’ve already done.

And might as well do $200 Discover Savings for P2, just need to move money back and forth on that one.

P2 is going to be busy!
unify and Wells Fargo for me. I want to open some others before the end of the month.
I'm working on Wells Fargo too. I just finished with my last "direct deposit." I haven't seen the bonus post yet, but hoping my push from santander did the trick.
I just opened Citi as well.

My CSR travel credit reset just after midnight! Statement close is the 21st. So now I'm ready to buy my Disneyland tickets, but I don't see them anymore on the Last Minute travel Club website. Are they not always there?
I've never checked Last Minute Travel Club so I am unsure of the prices, but UCT sells DL tickets and also codes as travel.

Also wanted to tell you the AF was back dated on my statement to 9/1, not the day of my PC. Just found that interesting.

Yep, I may go for the Aspire in a few months. I'm at 4/24 and want to do a couple more things with Chase before I blow past that threshold. One of the problems I'm having is that after 10+ years I'm so used to Marriott and the properties and how everything works. I'm sure I can get used to Hilton too, but for some weird reason it feels like a big leap. I suppose like you're saying I'll never really leave it. The lifetime Plat status is valuable and I still have a ton of points and a free night certificate or two.

P2 has a CIP that will turn one year old in October. Any suggestions as to what he could PC this card to? We don't have a CIU or a CIC but are open to whatever doesn't have a large annual fee. Thanks in advance!

Both the CIU or CIC are options. Neither have an AF. I forgot the minimum CL to open/PC to a CIU or CIC, something like $3k-5k.

CIU - 1.5x UR on everything.

CIC - 5x UR at office supply stores; internet, cable, and cell phone (no insurance); 2x UR at restaurants and gas.

Both the CIU and CIC have the ability to support to the CIU for 15k UR.

I’d go for the CIC to take advantage of those GC deals at OD/OM/Staples and earn 5x on your internet and/or cable bill.

Or DH could just close it and apply for the CIC later for 50k UR when the cup runs dry.

I have been out of the loop for awhile, however DW has since approved another trip despite the multi year ban enacted after four trips in one year. :rolleyes1 So is the DW ticket loophole still working in the Chase portal? Is Chase worth anything for DW anymore other than cash out? Man I miss the old days, those were some super sweet deals.

I've never bought from them, but heard they were cheaper than UT. I think I'll stick with Undercover Tourist even if it costs a few more bucks.

Idk how many of you have heard about the Carson king guy and his Venmo sign, but the hospital he’s donating to is the one my baby niece is in. She’s been there since birth and continues to be a fighter there. It’s so great what he’s doing and how much money they’ve raised already!

Dang! Disneyland tix aren’t coming up when I search LMT Club. They are available on Undercover Tourist, which also codes as 3x UR travel on the CSR and will trigger the travel credit.

I remembered! That’s why I said ‘our dd’s’ 😁 Don’t you love the wellness discount?? I just found out it’s good on workout clothes too!! Just thought it was produce.
Ha sorry, read too quickly! All C9 clothes, and all C9 fitness equipment, so weights etc. And all Simple Balanced items. Yes, I LOVE that wellness discount, it's HUGE. Gonna be sad when she doesn't work there anymore someday.

Hmmm. He could be persuaded to apply for a CIC instead. Will Chase mind this card getting canceled after a year, though? If so, can he PC it to a CIC in October and then cancel and apply for one next year? Or is that a bad idea?

Also, while I'm asking questions, does AMEX allow charging property tax bills through Plastiq?
