*** The Official December 2019 thread ***

It was fast pass day, we got everything we wanted. The tiers at HS make things difficult. We had changed our resorts to Grand Floridan and AKL I think that is finally set, we changed our minds a lot, lol. I just need to order a birthday cake and start making tee shirts. It is hard to believe we are down to 60 days already.
Made the change to your resorts! Our FP day went well, too! I was actually surprised how well we did this time.

Good morning everyone! I’m kinda excited about an email I got this morning from Touringplans.com about the crowd level forecasts for the week we will be visiting (Dec 8-14) they’ve decreased significantly
I didn't get an email from TP, I probably opted out of communication:). However, I just checked our dates, 12/4-12/11 and discovered just what you've mentioned. About 1/2 of what had been showing for quite awhile. Is there a logical explanation for such a dramatic change? Wondering if they will go back up as the dates get closer.....????

There was a link to a blog post that I read as well. It mentioned lighter than expected crowds for SWGE and rumors of a delay in the opening of Rise of the Resistance

Not sure if this has been asked before. Will Minnie's Wonderful Christmastime fireworks be shown after Dec 22nd, or only on the MVMCP dates?
I haven't been to the boards in a couple weeks, so might have missed if this was answered later - but the Minnie's fireworks start in MK outside the party on 12/23 and run to 12/29 - after that it's the New Years eve Fireworks on 12/30 & 31. The Once Upon a Christmas Parade will run twice a day as well (Parades run through 12/31)

Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but we're going in December and about half of our party is AP holders while the other half isn't. Can the non-AP holders go in the AP park entrance line with the AP holders in our party so we can stay together?
There's an AP line? Where? To get into the parks?

Heh; our crowd levels for the 2 days before Christmas itself went up :( everything else was already 10s.

Hello!!! 7th time in Orlando to visit the parks but this time with the massive crowds of the holidays XD XD. Any recommendation of park for Dec 24/Dec 25 or i should totally avoid the parks these days? For reference, we are visiting Dec 18-Jan 1 and we are two young adults with 10 days hopper tickers and free dining, yeah! Thank you in advance for any advice, i have visited before twice in December, but in the first half :) XD

I'm going into HS on the 24th in the morning, and into MK in the evening (w/ dessert party reservations); and Epcot the 25th. I have table reservations throughout the stay to give us breaks from the crowds, and many days we'll be in early and out by Noon, and go back after 7p when kids need to start leaving and stay super late. The big crowds are apparently in Epcot the 24th and MK the 25th; so am avoiding those two on those days.

Oh no. We had planned to go to Epcot the 24th, at least that morning, and then evening in MK for Christmas fireworks. I have a Garden Grill PPO breakfast that I was planning to drop because I feel like we have too many character meals but maybe I won't if it keeps us ahead of the crowd for at least rope drop. We have Free Dining but I feel like we might be literally eating up too much park time with all the meals we have scheduled. We have:

Storybook Dining (new for us, definitely keeping)
Minnie's Holiday Dine (a repeat meal and the one I'm most tempted to drop, but there aren't really great QS options in HS and I think we'll be exhausted after hitting RD in SWGE. I think we may be too tired to stay up for Jingle Bell Jingle Bam so this is a bit of holiday fun for this day.)
Garden Grill PPO (repeat but basically a bonus FP for Soarin, little one LOVES Chip and Dale)
Trattoria Al Forno (new for us, my mom's favorite princess is Ariel, I think my boys will like Flynn Rider, but we're not staying nearby and will likely have to Uber/taxi there)
and Crystal Palace (a repeat too but my 3 year-old has never been and he loves Pooh and friends of course)

And then these "extras" scheduled
Happily Ever After Dessert Party (new for us, we've never seen HEA)
Droid Depot
Ogas

Hmmm....writing it down like this Trattoria jumps out as the one to drop. It's on our "rest day." I can just get my mom a FP to meet Ariel on our MK day instead. We haven't been to the parks in over 2 years, and it's hard to resist the urge to try everything that's new. But I have to remind myself that Toy Story Land and SWGE is new for us as well, there will be plenty "new."

If you'll be at the Happily Ever After Dessert Party on the 24th; maybe we'll see you there! We'll be at the Fireworks Dessert Party w/ Plaza viewing on Christmas eve.

I wish we could do that too! But we got it on the 21st because we want to see HEA, on the 24th I think they switch to the Minnie Holiday fireworks after the last MVMCP party on the 22nd.

Has anyone called or heard about the Frozen Ever After Dessert Party in December? There still arent any dates available to select. Just curious. In other news, it was our FP day yesterday and we got EVERYTHINGGG. Including Slinky Dog - wahoo!!
