AP Discount Watch and FAQ 2023. 10% - 40% off select nights July 11 - Sept 28; Oct 2 - Dec 25

Can you check to see if there is a AP discount for the following:
January 8-15 Caribbean Beach.

I currently have a preferred room book. Seeing availability online for the non-discount rate, but not for the Gift of Magic promo.
Only AP discount is for a pirate standard room at $235 (looks like it's the same as the gift of magic rate)

Is anyone seeing AP discounts available for early 2020? I'm hearing they're out, but I'm not seeing them (the Disney site is awful right now with general discounts being released today).

Where did you get your info from? I'm new to AP and I'm looking for early October 2020. I know it's a bit early but if I can sign up for alerts now, that would be awesome.

Also when do they typically release them?

Thank you! Oh, like many I too have never been able to view the discounts, which I don't understand.

There aren't any alerts that I'm aware of, I've been an AP holder for a while now and I just have to make sure I'm signed in to my account to see the discounts. They just released some AP discounts for the first few months in 2020 on Friday, not many, but there are some out there and they do sell out of available rooms since only so many are allocated for the discount. Like any discounts you just have to keep checking, Disney hasn't exactly been following their past history so it's good just to keep checking if you want discounts, but if you want discounts for next fall they will probably be released at some point summer 2020 so you have a bit of a wait.

Thank you. It's unfortunate that I can't see AP discounts to compare to the ones I can see. It's very frustrating. :(

The 60% off BWI Garden suite (sweet!) deal survived Monday!
Yes! And DSS called me yesterday to let me know I could call them if I needed anything and it scared me to death lol. I saw that Lake Buena Vista number and my heart sunk, I just knew they were calling to retract my reservation, but no!!! Of course I had nothing to ask of DSS yet, part of me still doesn’t want to get too excited.

Mousesavers has a list of historical release dates for discounts. AP rates vary on release, but for October the rates are usually released in late June/early July. They have been released as late as August. I would start looking around the end of June. I was able to book an AP rate at PO-FQ yesterday for February and those usually are released in November. Keep checking.

At this point I don't know how accurate the historical data is, they seem to be going off script these days.

I booked GF SL for the first week of February with the AP discount yesterday, and today I was looking and RPC opened up! Even with the AP discount it's quite a bit, but we're going to squeeze in one last trip before our twins turn 3 (their birthday is a week later) and we'll be sized out of regular CL rooms - so we have to go for it, right ;)?? My kids and DH wanted CR CL or even Poly, but the discounts there are so much less (I think 10% vs 35%), so I think the GF is going to win (which is good with me, RPC is my favorite with Poly a very close second). Now I just have to tell my DH that I booked - we actually hadn't set this trip in stone yet but when I saw the availability I decided to book it. I hope SL is still available or pops back up if he is good with the trip but not the $1200 more for RPC over SL for 7 nights. I just like it so much better...

What's up with the weekends? I noticed our Friday and Saturday nights are $150 more than the others with the discount. I know weekends are more, but that is a lot! Is there still a discount on weekends, but just a lower percentage? Because it isn't rack rate, but it's so much more than the weeknights. Or is it the same percentage, the rooms are just that much more on weekends?

Could someone check to see if GF RPC is available for 2/21-2/23 with the AP discount? I really appreciate it!

Holy cow, the weekends are killer! When I first saw those rates you quoted I thought sure they were either accidentally rack rates or were for both nights, but I just checked and those are AP rates per night! Wow. The rack rate of disney monorail resorts is getting crazy, I wonder at what point they will start having trouble filling them? I know we don't look at them without a good discount for the most part - and as this shows even a "good discount" is rough for weekend nights. If the economy takes a dive disney is going to have to do some unprecedented discounting on these rooms IMO.

Thank you! Hmm, the rate is identical to the public offer. It is absurdly expensive! It's the one place we haven't stayed with our kids and I was thinking of adding on a few days at the end of our trip to surprise them. I'm only considering it because we are staying for my kids winter break at SSR through a timeshare exchange I did with RCI, which didn't really cost me anything.

Could you tell me what RPC means? The GF does have some AP discounts on those dates.
Royal Palm Club, it's the main building club level. There were outer building club level available on those dates for the sugarloaf club, but none showed up for the main building club.
