Booking a Disney Hotel Through a Third Party

Hi!

We are looking to visit DLP during the week after Easter (mid April). I looked at hotels.com, expedia and orbitz to book one night stay (and will buy tickets separately). Everything shows "sold out." Do you think we're really out of luck and its sold out because its prime travel time or has Disney not released the hotels yet to these third party vendors?

Also, should we prepare for massive crowds the week after Easter? We just have one day to visit during the week. Wondering if its worth it to buy fast passes.

Thanks!

I was pricing out for June. It looks like they have only loaded Disney hotels up to March. I don’t know if they release them to third parties monthly or in chunks. Give it a couple weeks. :confused3

Thank you amw! We just started planning so I thought maybe I was too late to the game!

France is divided in 3 regions, the Paris region has a 2-week holiday week from 5 - 19 April, and the North region from 12 - 26 April.
Most of Europe has their Spring Break last week of April / first week of May (1 May = Labour day and several countries celebrate it).

So the week after Easter, probably attendance by Non-French guests will be down, but French guests will be up. Prepare for crowds, if you have 1 day at least look into the paid FP purchases. Keep in mind it's only 8 rides, and think if you want to do these right multiple times or if just once will be enough. Think about if you want to do both parks or stick to one. Have a plan. The weather should be lovely, the Frozen festival will be in full swing, and you can have a great time, despite crowds :)

And for the hotels, I'm quite sure you are not too late yet. Just keep an eye on it.
Also, even if you plan for only one park day, do look into the packages DLP sells. Sometimes it can be a good deal. Park hours haven't been released yet, but Disneyland park should be open till 9 (my guess). So even if you arrive around dinner time, with the package you have tickets for all days you are there. You could go into the park, just to watch the fireworks and get familiar with the park.
And another reminder: Don't look just at the US website of DLP, also check other countries. The US website is usually the most expensive.

Thank you so much for the insight Karin1984! It looks like we will be there in the overlap between the Paris and the North region holiday weeks.

We have been to the parks in California and Asia, so my goal is to hit the unique rides if possible, which means we will likely try and do both parks in one day. I'm wondering if staying at a Disney hotel with EMH would help satisfy that goal as opposed to buying FP and staying at a nearby non-Disney hotel. I could think of plenty of other ways to spend the $ other than buying FP, but if we have to, we have to!

The only unique ride in the studios is Crush Coaster, Toy Storyland was copied in Hong Kong, Tower of Terror is not a unique concept, they have made some changes end of September but I haven't experienced this yet. And yes, there is the tram tour, but I really think it's a waste of time if you have only one day.

EMH will definitely help, I would then start with Crush, and then go to Disneyland Park.
Most big rides are available during EMH.

FWIW I booked my trip through Expedia for May of this year and I got the same deal as on the website. I was having trouble getting the payment to go through on the Disneyland Paris website (can't remember which country was the cheapest but I was using that one) and when I compared to Expedia the price was the same as the cheapest. So I booked it and I got the free half-board which I was worried I wouldn't get and it was so worth it as our 2 meals at table service restaurants (Walt's & Chez Remy) were 200 Euro for 3 people. So well worth it from my standpoint. Just sharing my experience in case it helps you!

You will have a GREAT time!
