What should I expect on a 2 week Panama Canal Cruise?

After the 10th day. The food just becomes blah. Same thing yet with a different side or slight seasoning.

I don't know about everyone, but the DH and I will definitely be there!

We could use some assistance from former PC cruisers. We are a senior couple ( I'm 65, and DH is 75). Any suggestions for PC cruise excursions that might be enjoyable for a less active couple? Thanks in advance.

There are several highly detailed trip reports for Panama Canal cruises that are wonderful. Read a few. That's how I decided it was the right thing for me. Now I never want to go on anything shorter!

People may argue but it's most likely the best cruise (and assuredly the best deal) of all 4 ships.

I did the exact same cruise last November. It ranks right up there as a favorite. You can read my trip report (link in my signature) for all the details. Have fun!

Enjoy! We’ve just done WBPC on DCL, and hope to do the EB sometime. We really enjoyed all the activities.

We are so excited for our third DC and first two week trip through the PC. Coincidentally, Frozen 2 comes out the day we debark in Galveston,TX. Anyone know if we would be lucky enough to get an early release on the ship?

Typically, no. PremEARS at Sea are usually done at midnight (the midnight that changes the day to the actual premiere date on land). Sometimes they bump it up a little (like 11:00 pm just before midnight).

Relaxation. You’re not doing the “didn’t I just unpack my suitcase” game. And you don’t have to do everything offered; you’ve got time to put up your feet and read a book.

Have room service. Skip the MDR and eat in Cabanas.

I sailed solo. I joined the DIS groups for a dining group of 14. It was like a big happy family, including a charming toddler and those in their 70s. There was even a couple from the town next to mine.

Online, you can find Navigators from previous cruises. I don’t think I’m supposed to link webpages here. You can look up Personal Navigators or DCL Personal Navigators. Then click on the Wonder tab and they will show you a list from which to choose.

An example of a unique activity - Hide and Seek with the Officers. The Captain actually dressed as a deck worker, and guests went around to find him (probably looking for him in his normal uniform). Held midday on a Sea Day.

Roaming characters. Especially on Canal Transit Day.

School kids waving as we passed the locks. With obligatory horn music.

Panamanian authorities came onboard; if you left your passport at Guest Services that day, you got your passport stamped.

I also did WBPC in May 2014 (15 nights) and Transatlantic both ways. The first EBTA was boring, as there was very little organized activities. They have definitely improved the onboard program.

Don’t forget the Adults Only programs in the Oceaneer Club and Lab!
Do you remember some examples of the type of adult only programs they offer? This interests me, we are about to take our 8th cruise with DCL and we've never been in the children spaces (we don't have kids) so I'm curious. I'm looking forward to all the sea days on the PC cruise.

We were able to make Flubber, see a volcano explode, learn proper etiquette with Cinderella, and paint animation cells. We had a blast with all of them but the cells were pretty difficult and took us 2 nights to complete! The best part was just being in the kid spaces and getting to check them out. They really are amazing.

Hi yes we run programs such as Flubber, royal ball and Mouseketeer training.
