Bounceback Information and FAQ Thread - 25-35% off BOUNCEBACKS ARE BACK for 2024!

Has anyone booked the free dining bounce back recently and been able to get Pop Century or any of the moderates for arrival dates between May 26 and June 2? I was just wondering if there’s any availability left. My husband arrives in WDW on Saturday and plans to book a bounce back for a family trip.

It's really best to call as even 1 day difference (arrival/departure/length of stay) can change availability. I would send him prepared with various dates you could be available and your resort preferences. Even better, I would be available when he makes the call so that you can make decisions on the fly. I did this last December when I was booking a BB for my parents and our family. My mom and I were texting back and forth and were successfully about to book a BB reservation.

So, someone I trust just told me they were able to book a room only bounceback today, the CM said it just became available. They didn't have a full range of dates to share but did say it was 25% off moderates and up to 30 off deluxes. Hopefully more info to come!

Just a note to those who have FD BB offers booked for 2020.

If you're considering changing your current reservation, my experience has been that it's much easier to do while the offer is still running. Since this offer ends Thursday, if you know of any changes you may wish to make, now is the recommended time to do them.

I had a FD BB booked for earlier this year and attempted to add a night to that reservations 6 months before our arrival date and was unable to do so. At that time I wished I'd added the night when I'd first decided to extend our vacation, way back in the fall of 2018.

I'm not saying changes will be impossible but my experience has been that they're less likely to be able to grant changes once an offer is over.

This is a good reminder. You can modify a BB reservation, but offers do have limited availability and like *all* other Disney promos/offers, the *entire* new stay has to be available under the promo to be able to change to it, even if you are adding or dropping 1 night or keeping the dates the same and changing the resort.

I have been able to change a bounceback after the "book by" date, but I gave the CM 6 resort choices and they came back and offered me two (upgraded) room options from those 6 (no standards). So, flexibility in changes is key (and it may be key when booking the initial BB offer too!).

They offered me something similar in the spring when I attempted to add 1 night to our Pop FD BB. They could add a night but I had to move my entire reservation to another Moderate or Deluxe resort and the entire stay would increase by $1700! Ummm....NOPE! I paid for a room only reservation at a different resort for $149.

We've had similar issues and ended up doing the same, getting a separate one night room to add on a day because we'd lose our original offer with any changes.

I have a question about bounce back cancellation rates (and apologies if I'm being dim on this):

  • For room-only reservations, it's one night deposit with a 5-day cancellation.
  • For packages, it's a $200 deposit and a 30-day cancellation.
You must pay a deposit at the time of reservation.
  • Regular cancellation schedules and fees apply, just like any other reservation.
Does this mean that you have 5 days to cancel and get that one night deposit back?

No, you have until 5 days before the start of your reservation for a refund.

We booked the free dining BB three weeks ago. After the advice from @scrappinginontario above, I called today to see if we could switch from CBR to WL.
The cast member I spoke to was fantastic. He agreed that's it gets harder to make changes after the new offer comes out.
He found us the room we wanted and then checked to see if it would save us money to switch from free dining to the new RO offer. He saved us over $300 by switching to RO and that includes the dining plan.
It made the cost of switching to a deluxe a little easier to swallow, lol.
I was so excited. I didn't know you could change to the new offer if you weren't on-site. I just assumed you had to stay with the offer you had at the time you booked.
