But didn't they say Winter 2019? That gives them a tight window. It'll basically open sometime between 12/21-12/31 :P
Originally, they said it would open "later this year." Then, they changed it to "winter." It sounds like this year is off the table. From the outside, it looked like there is a long way to go.

Unless they meant the winter that STARTS in 2019. :scratchin Winter lasts until spring...so anytime between Dec. 21 and March 18... I'd rather hold them to the 2019, though!

I am one month from my trip, and am still holding out a glimmer of hope. I know everyone keeps talking about the outside looking unfinished. However, we have no idea where the inside is for progress. it could be near complete in there. From what I have seen, there really isn't much left to do on the outside. There may be a hole still, but that is likely there for a reason (easier access to inside for larger pieces) and could be quickly sealed up. Then it's paint and go, pretty much.
I will say though, the fact that they have just begun the hiring process doesn't look good for my Dec hopes. Ah well, next trip is in February and I feel pretty good that it will be open by then.

I booked ADRs this morning for our May 2020 trip, I had hope that reservations would be open for Space 220, but no luck. I've given up hope on it being open for our trip in early December this year. So hopefully we'll be able to get something eventually for our May trip!

Do we think it will be a 1 or 2 credit restaurant?

nothing official yet - there hasn't been any indication from Disney it won't be 1 credit so I think that is the working assumption ... but when they use phrases like "more than 1,000 bottles of the world’s finest wines" there is reason to speculate it might be a signature restaurant

My guess is it starts out as a regula 1 TS credit location, winds up being unbelievably popular - including with people booking it just to check it out and only ordering dessert - so they change at least dinner to being a 2 TS credit pre-fixe menu (basically, pulling a "be our guest")

Pete mentioned it being 2 credits, but that's the only report I've heard. I'm still skeptical. I'm sure they could get that to begin with but it might hurt their ability to keep it full over time, and I'm sure they wouldn't want to backtrack on it.

yeah, I saw that video and no idea where he got that from - I think he was just making assumptions based on how they are marketing it AND how popular it will be so they could probably charge 2 TS credits for it. I mean, he might be right in the end but there is nothing out there from Disney indicating as such - and none of their material (press releases, etc.) ever use the term "signature" - I would think by now that would have come out (unless they aren't sure what it will be)

It wasn't a REPORT of it being 2 credits. He said he thought is should be 2 credits. It was personal opinion and not from a Disney source.

Still hoping for my Mid-Feb trip. My fear is the reservations going up and then all getting taken immediately.

Does anyone expect any kind of a heads up before Space 220 reservations open up? Or do we think they'll just appear one day?
