The cruise I have booked for June 2020 went down $215. If I call to have it re priced at the lower rate, will they cancel the drink package I already purchased and make me buy it again at the current rate?

Yes they cancel and they pay you back with whatever card you purchased with originally in about 3 days. Watch the actual room pricing like a hawk. I watched it everyday and got our balcony room for about $25 more than what the ocean view was.... with the room they credit your royal account instantly. I have done price adjustments prob 6 times.

r.e. my bolding --- LIKE A HAWK with binoculars !!!!

Booked a Grand Suite while on Oasis cruise for one year out and got all of the PERKS. Watched like a HAWK and 3 better pricing offers were revealed. Final offer got us a Crown Loft at less than a Grand Suite.

THE CRUISE WAS AWESOME!!!

They will not cancel any cruise planner purchases if you get a price drop. I even switch a cruise from refundable to non-refundable and all cruise planner purchases (drink package, excursion) stayed in tact.

I think as long as you keep the reservation number, you are fine.

I second this. I've repriced several times and I haven't lost anything I've already purchased. I suppose it could depend on the rep you get when you reprice though.

I have been wondering about this and glad you asked, OP! We were are among the fortunate ones who purchased the $18 a day Deluxe Beverage Package when RCL had their computer glitch and later decided to honor. We have been watching our cruise fare and trying to determine if the difference is worth the effort and savings if we lost the beverage package deal of the century!

Same here, got the $18 deal, otherwise we would not have purchased it. With the good news we would not lose it, I called and saved $200 on our cruise fare. Still will be checking it often and will re-price again if it drops.

Update 10/16, price just dropped again. Called and saved $542. That's a total of $742 down from my original booking price.

We have 2 cabins booked and only one of them has dropped in price and it’s only $50. I’m going to keep watching for more dramatic price drops before I go thru calling.

Congrats on also scoring the $18 deal! Plus the additional $200 price drop savings!

Just wondering about all these reports of price drops after booking. This is our second RCCL cruise and I've not ever found my price to have dropped after booking about 1 year in advance. Is it that I've booked so far out that the base prices have gone up and therefore we won't find a discount??
We also book a refundable rate and I suppose we could switch to a non-refundable rate. And see if we save anything significant?

Just wondering..

I booked a year out and my cruise has dropped in price twice.
