Maybe I've overlooked the answer, but are there any adjoining/connecting Poly studios at all?

Just came back from a Yacht Club/Poly split last week and I'm just in love with the Poly as always. Nice to see the familiar faces of some of the "green shirt" CMs as well as a few of the same faces in the club.

Didn't get to see any of the new hallway rugs that I saw on Tikiman's page but I heard they have some test rooms done and those lucky enough to stay in one, are sworn to secrecy but being we don't stay in a non-club room, it didn't really hold much interest for us. While there we booked a bounce back for May 2020 and unfortunately when I got home realized those dates wont work, but the fact that there even was BB availability has me thinking at least on the club level side, the room refurbs wont be started until after that point which is exciting because I don't go during the high heat months and I know I can likely get in another trip before the refurbs begin.

One night we ordered room service because DD was running a fever and the portions were HUGE. I ordered pot stickers and the noodles.

Other than that, everything is just awesome at the Poly and I already miss it. =(

Room service at the Poly is AWESOME. I got sick during our stay last fall and we ended up not making back to DHS after our midday break because I felt like a wreck. We had a dinner ADR for 50s Primetime and cancelled in favor of room service. We had already been blown away by the Twilight Feast earlier in the week but did not expect the regular menu to be so good. I had the chicken stir fry and asked for extra garlic and ginger to fight the cold, it was amazing.

I hope your daughter gets well soon. Disney crud is the worst.

Add me to the list of loving the Poly! We do like trying different resorts and I really enjoyed my first YC stay this past summer, but the Poly will always be my favorite. Glad you had a nice trip and I hope your DD is feeling better :flower3:.

Assuming you mean the DVC studios, then yes, lots of them! Almost every room connects to a room next door. (This may be true of the regular rooms, too, but I'm not sure.)
Oh, wow, I actually thought the answer would be no! :)

Thanks for the reply, as this is a game changer!

Trying to find a few nights availability in early May (between the 5th and 12th) for my daughter's graduation trip... and finding no availability at the Poly? Is something going on during that time that I'm missing? Does it really book up this early? Am I probably out of luck also to try to rent points for a DVC room?

Are those your exact dates, or are you searching for fewer nights within that window? Poly is a popular place, although I’m surprised there is no availability for anything given the time of year and that’s outside of the current spring promotions.

Poly resort side has some rumored pending room renovations, if that happens there could be long houses or floors that are offline / removed from the inventory for larger chunks of time next year. That may be a factor in what you are seeing.

I can’t comment on the DVC rental question, hopefully someone else will respond.

I've searched a bunch of fewer nights within that window... and even backed it up and gone forward a bit... zilch.

Is there anyone here now? We have a bunch of coke, Dr Pepper and water if anyone wants them. We check out tomorrow by 10am

Where can I find more details about timing and longhouses affected? TIA!

AFAIK nothing has been announced or is known with any degree of certainty. When I stayed there a few weeks ago I was told the Hawaii longhouse would be around October’ish... but it’s best to take any info like that with a major grain of salt. Disney doesn’t typically announce anything - stuff just happens - so what we end up with is rumor, speculation, for better or worse.

So true about stuff just happening. We will be back at the Poly for spring break next year so looks like nothing will be happening that soon.

Hi Everyone!!
If I book the poly it will be through DVC, the only option is standard or lake. So I believe I would be in Moorea if I do lake. My question is, what are the chances I will get a top floor?
The ONLY reason I would book lake is to see the castle but the bungalows are in the way unless you're top floor.
Also, what is the best way to make that request?

Thank you!

You are correct, Moorea is the only DVC longhouse with lake view rooms. It would be a 33.33% chance of getting the top floor since the rooms are evenly distributed between first, second, and third. Top floor is probably requested a lot, but someone has to get it! Since you said you will book through DVC you will need to contract Member Services to make the request. If you are renting DVC points, the person securing the reservation for you would need to contact Member Services.
