Let me just start by saying if you haven't watched (or started watching) "The Imagineering Story", you need to get on this! It's amazing. Have some tissues ready too, at least for the first episode. It gives me a new appreciation for Disneyland, how it came to be, the doubts and fears that preceded its opening, and the total fiasco that was opening day. In hindsight it seems like a slam dunk but I had no idea how much its success was in doubt in the weeks and months before it opened. Great story, and very well told. I can't wait to work my way through the rest of the series.

It also makes me wonder about future Parks programming on D+. Will we see infomercials about upcoming parks & resorts projects? Might be cool of they had a Parks & Resorts channel...

Just watched the first episode with my wdw-obsessed kids and it is truly amazing !! We are.hooked !!!

Loved the show! I wish the episodes came out more frequently than once a week. And that there were going to be more than 6.

I admit I was quite skeptical, as I have mixed thoughts on the documentaries Disney produces, but I love this series!! This visuals are absolutely beautiful, and I like how they provide a variety of perspectives.

I look forward to the rest!

You have to remember that this is a brand new platform and originally programming is thin. If they allowed people to binge on all of the new stuff, they would begin losing subscribers because all that'll be left are Disney movies that we've all seen countless times already, and awful shows like That's So Raven and Lizzy McGuire. So they have to stretch things out as long as they can until they start building up new content.

We love this show at our house. My DS who is 6 years old loves it. He already often created Disney at our house after our trip a year ago....this show has only inspired him more. After watching episode 3, he has a quest to make a paper castle. He wants to be an imagineer when he gets older.

Same here !! We just finished episode 3 - love it , and it's a great show to share with the kids !

I was wondering if this series would have it's own thread discussion. I am really enjoying this so far!

I loved the statement about the 4 levels of detail.

And I also liked the quote from Michael Eisner where he talked about being an editor, not coming up with the idea or executing it.

I particularly like how they had such a strong mission and core values of what Imagineering was and the value they added.
