Post a Picture of Your Camping Setup at Other Campgrounds!!

Last campout of the season. Spent Wednesday thru Sunday at the Kentucky Horse Park. With the exception of Thursday's rain, weather wise was a pretty good week. The Horse Park was hosting the United States National Dressage Competition this week. Just like the Hunter Jumper competition earlier in the summer, this event was open free to the public. Also met Donna and Garon Stutzman, who were camped across the road from Teresa and I, who coordinated the fundraising and restoration efforts of original borax wagons that hauled borax through Death Valley. Many may remember the western "Death Valley Days" as told by the "Old Ranger" sponsored by Pacific Coast Borax (20 Mule Team Borax). Classic old westerns :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 They were also the owners of the only mule to qualify for the national dressage finals. If interested, here is a link to a YouTube video that documents their efforts in the restoration of the borax wagons.

After a good week at the Horse Park, came home on Sunday and gave the camper a good cleaning. Winterized the camper on Monday in 68 degree weather and woke to about an inch of snow on the ground and 26 degree weather with a 17 degree wind chill on Tuesday.

Wow! That is my dream trifecta - mules/horses, dressage, and camping. Love them all.

Terri,

That looks really nice. How deep are most of the sites? Big enough for 42 ft of trailer? And another 22 ft of truck?

The beach pics are gorgeous. How far are the campsites from the beach?

They did have some deeper sites, we did see some large class As and 5ers. When you go to book, the details of each site, including length and width are listed, so just make sure to check that before booking.

The beach was really close from our loop (site 135), a little further from the others. Reachable by foot, bike or car. The is plenty of parking and a small store, snack bar and restrooms.

Thanks Terri,

I have been looking for a new place to camp that is near the beach. I've seen Anastasia mentioned a few times. That also looks like a nice area to do some condo shopping. Retirement is less than 9 years away!

I usually look at the site details (if they are listed), but I've been burned on those before, so I like to ask people that have actually been there.

There is a site, campsitephotos.com, that shows a lot of private and public campground sites. I use it a lot. No dimensions, but you can usually tell by the photo (what is parked in the site) of how big it is.

Been trying to post a couple more but I get the error "Oops! Something went wrong".
Maybe I've reached my photo posting threshold, LOL.

Pavement Ends Campground in Agate, NE. One of the most unique campgrounds we've ever stopped at. A rancher mowed his hay field and installed electric and plumbed water off the irrigation well ahead of the 2017 eclipse. They've left it running since it's low maintenance. Unbelievable night skies with 50A and water.

Snowed in from camping, so camping is really on my mind...sorry!

McKinney Falls SP outside of Austin, TX. We only overnighted here, but we wish we had more time to return. It was such a pretty park. This campsite was enormous.

My little man, with gloves on, ready to help pack out and hitch up. He's a heck of a helper for all the outside jobs with me (DW and DD pack up and secure the inside).

So this was a test. I've been trying to post a picture from our site at Pelican Lake in Naples FL and kept getting an error. These are from our site in Dec, 2015 first. If they go through I'll try to post a couple from 2014.
