What restaurants won’t you go to again?

We thought our time there was the worst, but your scenario beats it. It took forever to be seated and once we were seated no one wanted to wait on us. This was the pattern all night. We constantly had to wave people down and ask for things. Wave someone down for waters. Wave someone down for menus. Wave someone down to place our order. Then our food came out at random times. Wave someone down for refills. Cold food...hot food. Wave someone down to order dessert. It was just terrible and the food didn't taste very good either. When we asked each person who our server was no one could answer and didn't seem to care we didn't have one assigned to us.

I am really surprised you didn't get a little something taken off your bill. We only complained to the last person who waited on us. We told them how ridiculously long we had been there and that we might miss Fantasmic because of it. She said I bet there will be plenty of seats. :-(
This experience of yours sounded like our previous experiences there. They were always so bad with service but the last time was the straw that broke the camel’s back. We are very easy going and super gracious to wait staff, but this restaurant has always had exceptionally bad service in our experience.

Sci Fi - 50 minutes late getting in from our ADR time, and unbelievably when we entered I would guess that the cars were a third full, if that. Average food.

Hollywood and Vine - Characters were fine but the food was mush with really fatty meat. Our daughter loved it though.

During our last visit, we had several restaurants that tried to seat our party of 7 at a table for 6; Coral Reef was one of the offenders. Instead of finding a table for us to sit together, they split the group up. Our food was not very good. The wait staff got snippy when we tried to tip with cash (we were on the DDP). Their poor service ruined our last night in Disney.

I love reading this post - interesting to see people's thoughts on all of these places.

For me:
Via Napoli - nobody in my party was impressed. Service was kinda horrible. Not opposed to trying it sometime again in the future but it's been a few years since we last visited and I'm not rushing back.
CRT - Overpriced. Poor service. My Mom ordered shrimp and steak and mentioned to the waiter that the shrimp was very overcooked. The chef came out and basically argued with my Mom that the shrimp was cooked perfectly....🤯
1900 PF - We compared the food quality to Denny's. Good service and character interaction with just mediocre food.

Hubby says:
The Wave - we went here for breakfast and perhaps something was off that day but many things at the buffet were empty. We ordered the mimosas and they were horrible and weak.

Coral Reef belongs on my list too.
Our experience there all the way back in 2004 was so terrible, it never occurred to us to give them a second chance. The only good thing was the aquarium. Been there, done that.

We have never been to CRT for dinner.

Have you tried CRT breakfast? We go every trip and love it. The French Toast is to die for.

Really interesing read. This thread just goes to show everyone how nearly useless it is to ask others to select a restaurant for you. The opinions are all over the map. Many of the never agains are our favorites. As for bad service, we will usually give places another chance before we sideline them.

So to be on topic, As of now we reallydont have any never again but we do shy away from the buffets. Over priced and I always have the image of someone actualy using the sneeze guard if you get my meaning.

I'm not sure if it is still there, but there used to be a warning that your group may be split up when you book ADRs.

Where have you had bad enough dining experiences that you won’t go again? Or where have you gone that has just been consistently underwhelming enough that you’ve given up?

Grand Floridian Cafe. Place had food that tasted like it was sitting under a heat lamp for past week and steaks had to be sent back twice before I just gave up. I’m good!

We’ve had mostly great experiences at Disney restaurants but Skipper Canteen was so disappointing. I liked the “tastes like chicken” that I ordered, but my husband‘s steak was awful (although I told him ordering theme park steak is a no-no), and my daughters didn’t like their food either. The kids desserts were not tasty and my kids LOVE desserts.

The kungaloosh beer was great, though.

We won’t be back.

Most of the restaurants listed are some of my families favorites. Ohana is our absolute must do every trip. Some years are better than others but still our fav.
I personally think Chef Mickeys is the absolute worst but my youngest begs every year to go there, we have been 3 out of the 10 times. So I can’t say never again but we do try and discourage him. Lol
My husband hated the Garden Grill the first time we went and the rotating so that is the one restaurant we have not repeated. I thought it was ok but awkward to see the characters in the booth we were in.

I do think that while BOG use to be our favorite for counter a service that as bad as I hate to admit it I can pass on this now.

Ohana - not for breakfast or dinner. The atmosphere of the Poly and the characters aren’t enough to overcome the awful food and service.

Crystal Palace. We loved it once upon a time but last time in August it was horrible. Bad service, food sucked and took over an hour for the characters to all come around.
Garden Grill. Loved the food but wont go back till the rotation is fixed. That was the selling point for us.
BOG. We had dinner and it was just okay, not impressed. Eating in the Beast Castle was the highlight. Desert was not good. At all. We also tried Breakfast once. It was just okay. I would rather eat in the CL lounge at our resort. Way better food and priced right ;)

The Wave for Thanksgiving dinner - They ditched the buffet and went with a prix fixe that, in our opinion, just wasn't worth the $40 per adult.
Mama Melrose - Service was slow. They only offer tomato based pastas and the food just didn't have that, "That's Italian" taste.
Be Our Guest (lunch) - We kinda felt cheated having to order our food by kiosk then have it delivered by staff but had to get our own drinks. Who get the tip?
With all reviews, I will throw in an asterisk....Could be that one experience that things were just off.

We haven’t eaten at Chef Mickeys in 18 years but I have an ADR for the next trip with my DGS. He loves the character meals and we despise buffets! I’m considering reconsidering!
1900 Park Fare was terrible and I didn’t have high expectations.

Tony’s is another pass.

Wow Gang Pucks was terrible, it’s s no from us.

Haven’t tried Coral Reef and never will.
Which Wolf Gang Pucks? The original table service on the lake or the new one. The original one was actually run by Levy Restaurants and there were several reports where Wolfgang would show and was not pleased.

The new Wolfgang's is actually run by one of his companies. We have tried it once and enjoyed our meal.
