Trial Club Level Fastpass+ Purchase Program Planning & Discussion

You can book your 4th FP after using the first 3 regular ones as long as they don't overlap with any of the CL FPs. When you pre-book, you can have two Tier 1 rides as long as they are not the same one (multiple for CL and 1 for Regular). Also, your 4th FP can also be a Tier 1. Additionally, we were able to book a duplicate Tier 1 ride at Epcot (two Test Tracks) as our 4th FP and nothing got cancelled. Some people have reported problems with that.
Thank you! So the trick is making sure they don’t over lap.... debating CLFP first or regular FP first... decisions decisions

Hello! We are booking our CLFPs in about a month and I'd love some feedback on our plans so far. First time staying CL, at the GDT, last week in March, when I know it will be crowded and the CLFPs will really come in handy!

We plan to tour for five days and book CLFPs all five days. We have a young son and generally enjoy early morning and evening touring best, with a nice long-ish break in the afternoon. Here's what I have planned so far, below. CL means CL FP and FP means regular FP, and I've read up and think we mostly want to the CLs in the morning, since we'll be more likely to stick to our plans then and want flexibility later, but happy to get advice about that, too.

Thanks in advance!

Looks pretty much identical to ours from late October. Somehow our CLFP and regular FP weren't together so it was hard to change. Probably my fault.
We ended up walking right onto Living with the Land and Nemo; Barnstormer and Townsquare; and Dinosaur and Navi. Must have been the timing.

What is your 6th FP for HS?

Thanks, Craig! Yes, I know we may very well not need the extra FPs for rides like Living the Land and Nemo , but Touring Plans say our week should be a 9 or 10 crowd-wise, so I'm being extra cautious! We'll see ...

I can't figure out a 6th FP for HS! We want to spend the rest of the evening at SWGE, and all the shows I could get FPs feel like they'd cut into our SWGE time. I'll probably leave it unbooked and see if inspiration strikes, or if one of the SWGE rides becomes FP-eligible by late March. Unlikely but you never know, I guess?

If the crowds are nine or 10 then that’s a really good call. I don’t think I’ve ever been in a park when it’s that crowded. Maybe you can sneak in Aerosmith rockin roller coaster right before you go take your afternoon break?

Today was my 60-day FP+ window, and I needed to make some regular FP selections for our arrival day. Can I just say? Wow. What an amazing thing to look at my plans and know I have all of the rest of my FPs arranged already at perfect times for the rest of my trip, no worries about tiers or parkhopping or anything.

It's time for me to start planning our next trip as I know we will be going December 2020 and I like to have something on the books to look forward to! I know it's too early to do much b/c this trip is attached to my daughter dancing there. We do not know the hotel that we must stay at for the required dates. I hope to move over to Dolphin for at least 2 nights and do this program again. But a full year is a looooooooong time to wait to find out if the CLFP program will still be running! I know it's pointless to ask DSS too b/c it's a standard answer each time.

Ya'll, this may be in this thread or the FP FAQ somewhere, but I didn't notice it...

They opened up a DAH date within our trip, and we jumped on it. We're only there for a few days, so this meant we were no longer hell-bent on keeping our FP+ plans on the day we were intending to do MK (our departure day) - we'll now spend that day solely in Epcot, which keeps us close to our resort and gives us a chance to laze around a bit. Yay!

Anyways, we're within our 60- day window, and some of the FP times for Epcot attractions we wanted were gone on MDX, but I called DSS to change our FP+s to whatever was available that worked - I asked for them to change one of the FP+s to the time I saw online- I said something like, "I know this is only available at 12:55, so that's fine," and the CM responded, "I can pretty much book you whatever you want at whatever time, as long as the windows don't overlap." She then rebooked two FP+s for attractions/times showing as not available in MDX.

In other words, if this is a real thing, CL FP+ users may not have to worry about having FP+s set and perfect prior to the 60-day windows of non-CL guests - you'd be able to shift them to whatever attraction at whatever time, regardless of what's showing as available in MDX. This would be a pretty big deal. Did I misunderstand? If not, did everyone but me know about this?

@2vets -- I definitely didn't know about this, and it definitely wasn't the case when we were there for our February/March trip...unless we just got unlucky (see my past posts re: the AP FP issue). I wonder if this is a recent change or if the CMs who were helping us just didn't know about this? They told us that the CLFP+ didn't come from their own separate bin, and that they were limited by what was available in MDX. Can anyone else confirm this? We're about to have our 4th trip using CLFP later this month, and this sure would be a huge perk in our minds!

I wonder if this was just a fluke for whatever reason (or if maybe it's new..?) ...but yep, I just double-checked, and she booked us onto both Soarin' and Mission: Space during time slots that were not (and still are not) showing as available when I called this morning.

Did you figure out if you are doing regular of CLFP first?
I think I am doing it different based on the days.

I have sometime to work it out but MK day I’m doing CLFP first but HS day I think I doing regular first. Just how my plans are working out.

What's the current thinking on using one vs the other? It's been about a year since I've been on the boards. Have a stay at an executive suite at the Swan in April so may pull the trigger on CL FP's...

Anyone making their CL FPs for early March soon? Please post if you learn anything about MMRR. 😁
I make mine 12/22, getting excited/nervous to see what happens at HS.
Second this question eager to learn if this ride will have FP+ from day one or if stand by only will be the new norm for new attractions.... I also want to know if tiers will change

It wasn’t originally set up as such but it’s certainly possible they’ve changed programming somewhere along the way to allow for them to pull from supply not otherwise available to the pubic. Thanks for reporting your experience, looking forward to more reports/experiences so we can track what all is going on. :thumbsup2

I think I mentioned this a couple of pages back, but the expanded FP availability when going through DSS was definitely the case for me when I had to make a couple of changes to our CL and regular FP a couple of weeks ago, well after our 60 day regular FP window had passed! The CM I spoke with could get me the exact times on the exact rides I wanted on that day, even for our regular FP, even though they weren't visible to me on MDE. I don't know if it was an MDE glitch on my end that was limiting availability, or if the CL CMs are now able to bypass the usual restrictions for the small pool of guests that book the CL FP, and I was just so relieved to get the changes made that I didn't think to ask. Either way, it was a huge help for me and it helped make the extra expense for the CL FP worth it for this trip.

Wow, that is amazing! Sorry I missed your post from before...I haven't been on the DIS as much lately. It definitely sounds like they have made a change...and I think it's a great thing! It makes the CLFP+ even more worth it in my eyes. Thanks to both you and @2vets for letting us know! :)

That is awesome. Just awesome. Seems like it's not a fluke!!! @AWalks, I totally agree - I was iffy on the expense, especially since we're not taking much advantage on our third day (we check out that day so are just using it to bypass tiers at Epcot), but when they booked us FPs for stuff we couldn't see, I was like, "This was worth every single penny." Hope you have an amazing trip!
