We are going to disney with our coach but staying at Old Key West. Where is the best place to park? Not much room at OKW.

Thank you

By "coach" I assume you mean a vehicle about the size and shape of a bus although probably not as long as a Disney bus or Magical Express bus.

It should not be parked within ninety degree angle parking spaces as it might not be able to be driven out if cars are parked next to it.

The resort staff should be able to direct you to an area at the far edge of the parking lot.

Walking that long distance back and forth repeatedly is a non-problem. No one may spend the night in the coach. Florida law does not permit camping except in an approved campsite.

Years ago when we stayed at OKW, our first DVC purchase, we were directed to park at PO after we unloaded into our 1BR unit. Could always give them a call now to see what is recommended.

I see your point, VINN127. Most of the resorts have big parking lots (like POFQ next door to OKW). But for the DVC-only properties (and it looks like Saratoga Springs might have the same issue), it doesn't appear to be a given that there is space there for big rig/rv's along with cars.

Looking at the satellite view of Google Maps, that might be worth a call to OKW to see where they put people with big rides. It's not obvious to me. It's a good thing you thought about this question before hand.

Are you pulling a toad? Or will you be relying on Disney transportation once you are at WDW?

In 2017, we arrived with our truck and 5er 6 days after hurricane Irma came through. The Fort was still closed so they put us up at OKW. I was directed over to PO-Riverside to drop the trailer until the Fort opened. There is no way I would have been able to navigate around OKW, much less find a place to park. I'm impressed the bus drivers make it around the place.

Thank you all. I also looked on google maps and was wondering about parking in the Strawberry lot at Disney springs. coach is 37 feet so not huge but reason for concern and no toad this trip. I agree it is probably best to call the resort and ask them. Thank you all for your help

Do you mean long term? After a few days or even one day it may get a little attention.

It's only for 2 days We are staying Dec 26th to 28th
A few times it been brought up on what would happen if you left a car parked overnight at a park. Most thought nothing would happen particularly if it was at Epcot with assuming you had too much to drink and took the bus back to your hotel, but more than a few days not sure.

But parking an RV I think would be another matter completely with them thinking you are camping. I would ask to see where they want you to put it.

I've always called ahead to let them know i was coming and asked where to park. we usually stay at the Yacht Club before or after the Fort and they have us park at the Beach Club. Disney will find a place for you to park. the gate guards get a little curious but just explain the situation. ours have always been great with us. Have a great trip
