Shop the Block 2019 -Bonus miles are POSTING NOW!

You'd think it would be the same everywhere. You sure your coupons were different?
Yes, both had the different codes. Who knows, could have been a number of things I guess. There was an offer with some getting double PC points on a product couple weeks ago, didn't work in my store either. That's why I was thinking it could be an area thing. Again, who knows.

A friend & I went to Rexall's this morning. She did one shop and received 222 miles. I did two (one on my card & one on my husband's card). Both cards received 222. Plus I paid $50 air miles cash from my card and again from my husband's card. That's another $100 to tuck away in our vacation fund. :goodvibes

I spent 51.08 before tax at Rexall and earned 262 miles. I got both of the 100 miles coupons even though the cashier said they wouldn't work, I persisted and lo and behold they both worked. I got the 20 for the shop the block coupon and 40 for the vitamins I bought. I had planned on doing my Mothers card as well but I ran out of time and had to leave so I may go back later tonight and do her card. I did find out though that my Rexall now has M&M's products so I am sure that I can get to $50 with those added. That wouldn't have worked today even if I had the time as I go to a badminton class and they would have been sitting in the gym for 3 hours. Not a good idea.

You're beginning to see their evil sinister plot :D. Most people won't bother to track down missing miles because most people don't even realize they have miles missing. There are a small percentage of people like us who collect and track each and every mile and Airmiles counts on that. My son (CPA) doesn't bother tracking his airmiles which drives me nuts as he should know better having a mother like me. My FIL doens't track his at all either. Both these men hear me going on and on about collecting and tracking AM and the problems with the program and yet they do nothing.
Yep, I actually never used to track them and honestly I don’t care much about the base miles being wrong . However, if they only gave me 4 base miles, then it’s not considered a $100 purchase to count as a STB coupon. That’s what I care about more, is getting credit for the offer to get the large bonus at the end without having to “prove” myself to them.

They all stacked nicely for me this morning. Got my 220 AMs.

Yes, my Rexall coupons all stacked quite nicely this morning, too, for 220 AM. Thanks, @Donald - my hero!

Just to clarify, though... my post that you quoted was in reply to somebody who was wondering whether the AMS STB offer would apply multiple times, which it won't (more's the pity).

Can anyone confirm if I have to unload the STB for Rexall from my card and use the actual coupon. I can't get it to unload!

NO! It doesn't matter --- the comment in my post on the main thread about not needing to load the coupon onto your card is that even though it looks like you've loaded it in the same way that you do for Sobey's/Foodland and Metro for Rexall the DO NOT load and you need to get a barcode scanned. You can have it scanned from either the app, the coupon booklet or the barcode in my post.

All good! Just make sure you get a code scanned!!!!

I'm glad it worked but to clarify your comment about the StB coupon, you can use it as many times as you want from now until it expires on Dec 15th, it will only count towards this promo once but you will get those 20 miles as many times as you want.

Sorry, I think we seem to have two conversations mixed together. It wasn't 20 miles in the original post, it was 50 miles. Here's the original query I was responding to, about AMS STB, not Rexall:

Good morning to all. I have been silently following since March and would like to thank you all for your Airmiles advice. Due to all of your tips, I am almost an ONYX member! I have a question about the Airmilesshops.com and 20x multiplier. For the Black Friday and Cyber Monday 20x does the STB coupon for 50miles also get added to all of these purchases?

So, hopefully to clear up the confusion, I was pointing out to @Jiminyfan2020 that the airmilesshop offer of 50 miles for $100 spend could only be applied once, and quoted from the back of their coupon.

As you rightly point out about the Rexall offer, though... unlimited 20 BAM per $50 spend potential. :)

I must be feeling the holiday spirit extra this year, because I just bought all the holiday spirits! :rotfl:

My local safeway liquor store had tons of fun, festive options. Christmas gin, something called moose milk, a few kinds of baileys... I got enough that I could split my order into 2, one per card. Getting through the promo slow and steady (and now maybe a bit tipsily!)

This is my first shop the block (just started collecting seriously in May) and I am anticipating issues with missing miles. So far I did the LCBO, Foodland, Airmileshop Amazon and Sobey's. Planning on the completing the BMO spending, Shell and Rexall very soon. I didn't keep all the receipts, but I remember LCBO, Foodland and Sobey's gave me the STB miles or said something about STB on the receipt. Amazon is shipping in 3 separate orders and this is where I think i'll have issues. When I dispute, do I need to show ALL the receipts or would I just have to show the receipt of the missing shop?

Also, I want to thank you guys for all the great info and tips. I went from earning 1000 miles in 15 years to over 8000 miles in 7 months!
I brought this over here in case others have similar questions.

First thing I'll do is repeat what was said on the other thread: you really need to keep all of your receipts for this big promos, with a copy of the coupon attached and stuff them all into an intact booklet. Put everything together and keep it somewhere safe until the big bonus posts sometime NEXT YEAR. Just going by your memory won't be enough if you need to chase down miles. The only suggestion i have will work if you used a credit card for those transactions - you'll at least have a general idea if you completed the coupon and you will at least be able to provide them with the date. Sometimes they will want more details though and can even ask if you have the store number.

Amazon is a tricky one that is hard to predict, you will need to be able to show them your total invoice and the date -- easily found on your amazon account BUT if you are going to be chasing down the big bonus then yes, they will want proof of ALL of your completed coupons.

So I just checked my Mom's airmiles account and I spent $115 on Black Friday at Amazon and this is what I got. Now I know that they shipped my order in 2 shipments but they were each over $50 so I was expecting 2 postings but wow I think they dropped the puck on this one. It looks like I only spent $20 in total. Do I have to wait the 75 / 120 days to complain to AirMiles? Thanks all.

Yeah, mine was a mess as well .. not exactly sure what the heck is going on with their system but it SUCKS!

I tried online chat and got the company song and dance about the 75 days, disconnected and started a Facebook message session. I took a screen shot of my invoice and sent that, then added a screenshot of my postings and while it took a bit (over an hour) i ended up getting all of the miles i was owed. (took that long because my computer decided it needed to have a break :P

thanks I will give it a shot. I don't use facebook messenger too often but maybe I will try that first since I think it is easier to screen shot things there better than the chat (which I always seem to shrink and then can't find again). Yea 24 miles when I should have gotten 115 and it was supposed to be one of her shop the block offers. I am sure that I will have to follow up to get her full bonus points when they finally post since this didn't work out right.

OK, that makes sense.
You might notice that I do my best not to use short-forms in my posts and that's for 2 reasons:
  1. eliminates as much confusion as possible
  2. I don't know what most of them are myself!!!
SO .. you said AMS STB and i seriously had ZERO idea what you were referring to so i went by what i thought the topic was -- my mistake!

and BAM??? not sure, Bonus Air Miles? My kids tell me I'm old and things like this make me agree :rolleyes1

So much for my Staples order. Yesterday I decided just to order the 1 car adapter and a package of black & color ink. I always have to purchase ink so it's not that big of a deal to buy it in advance. I ordered the 2nd car adapter to be shipped since I couldn't order two together.

Well, it turns out Staples' online description is incorrect. The 2-port car adapter did not come with both micro-usb and type-c cables. It only came with a micro-usb cable, rendering it useless. Now I'll have to return the order today; wait for the other order to arrive and return it as well. BestBuy's website says they have a 1-port car adapter with a type-c cable (Staples does not) so I'll head out there today and grab two. I need one today to give my Dad before he leaves for Ottawa tomorrow.

I can't figure out anything but ink to purchase at Staples. Frankly I don't want to spend $100 on ink even though it will get used eventually... maybe I'll pick up the cheapest whatever at LCBO and bring it as a 50/50 prize at next week's euchre game. My husband's card needs a 7th.

Does anyone know if the M&M products at Rexall follow the same sale as the M&M stores. ie: are the same products on sale at both places?
