March vs June.

Any experience or estimations with crowds in early March (7th-13th) vs first week of June (approximately 1st-7th)?

Never been in March—how is the weather? Swimming?

In my experience, March = Spring Break crowds. They're not Christmas crowds, but it can be quite a mass of humanity. June, the year we went in that month, was HOT! I love the heat but the heat/ humidity that year was horrendous. I lost 9 pounds on that trip from the humidity! Great weight loss plan, but..... never in June again for us. Just my 2 cents.

I told understand. We were there last year i June as well. The trip was great, but I kind of feel like the extreme heat and humidity effected our enjoyment some days.
The prices for March are higher (we have a bounce back for June), but maybe the weather would be more enjoyable. Thanks for your opinion.

March is busy as it is still the season in Florida and you will have many Southern and Florida schools on Spring break.

The weather is great for touring, but you may run into some chilly, windy days. The last couple of years we have been able to go swimming during that time, however, as it has been on the warmer side.

June is guaranteed to be hot, but you will likely have a few less thunderstorms than you get later in the summer.

If I had to choose, I would pick March every time as cooler weather makes it much more pleasant when you are spending all day outside walking all over.

We always go in March, and the kids are always in and out of the pool and totally fine. But we are also from Chicago, so after a long winter and 50 degree temps when we leave, 70s feel SUPER warm. :)

Crowds about the same; weather cooler in March. That's about it in terms of difference!
March will definitely be more crowded. Summer crowds have been low for the last several years, whereas that week of March will be when the spring break crowds hit in earnest.

We've gone in March half a dozen times, and only once did we have a majority of cool days. Typically, you'll have warm days with a couple of cooler days thrown in. Just make sure you pack for all kinds of weather.

The March week you are talking about is one of the nicest statistically weather wise in the Orlando area for the entire year. It doesn't mean you'll get great weather, but probabilities are in your favor. March is normally a lovely time -- great from a temperature and humidity standpoint and a favorite time for me to be Florida weather wise. Because of the heated pools swimming is great and touring parks is usually heavenly from a weather stand point. I think the secret is out, though, and crowds are fairly heavy -- at least, though, spring break is spread out over a lot of weeks. Personally I avoid Orlando in June, July, and August -- just way too hot and humid for an outside vacation for me (but I am a hot weather weeny and tend to pick great weather times vs. low crowd times). I'd go heavy on the water based activities for the itinerary if you choose June (nice being in the pool, at the beach, or at the waterpark -- theme park - not so great).

I'd personally go for March for the glorious weather out of those two choices. I would, though, for park days do some rope drop days, use a touring plan, take advantage of fastpasses, and bring along reasonable expectations given that lots of others will be visiting the theme parks at that time too.

June crowds for your dates are typically crowd level 5-7 (moderate), while your fairly popular March spring break week typically would have crowd levels more in the 7-9 ranges (heavy).

This is a constant discussion in our house. I prefer better weather even if more crowded. Husband prefers lowest possible crowd time even if bad weather.
It sounds like the exact situation we’re in. Hubby also wants the cheapest prices and is not so willing to pay a premium for nicer weather.

I would totally pick early June for lower crowds. It’s not yet at the worst heat of the summer, and spring break crowds are nuts. We went at end of July the last two years- won’t do that again! But early June won’t be nearly so bad. I just don’t like crowds and long lines which spring break is full of. And honestly, most ride lines are in the a/c so heat not so big an issue.

Thanks.
We went early June last year and the crowds started out okay and grew as the week went on. I’ve never experienced the spring break crowds though. There were days that the heat/humid got really oppressive—we look so hot and sweaty in all our photos.

Spring break crowds grow as Easter approaches. You didn't give a year, so I'd say it depends on when Easter falls. I like the March weather (and yes, we do swim, but like a PP, we're from the northern plains. We have snow in March, so we find the weather warm) and would pick it over the June heat. We try to go the very first week in March, though, before the spring break crowds get too big. On other March benefit: Epcot Flower and Garden.

Sorry I forgot to include the year. It would be this year (March 2020 or June 2020), so Easter isn’t until the next month. I’m not sure if we’d beat the crowds with a trip starting march 8th or so. We’re from a fairly hot humid climate, so summer here is almost as bad as Florida.

Last week of March and early June are the two times we have been the most. March is all over for weather. One year it was so cold and windy we froze every day!!! This year we had a day in shorts, a day in all our layers and a day in the rain. June is definitely more consistent for weather, hot. Typically we've found it isn't as humid early June. (however this past June I know was an unusually hot one). I prefer June for less crowds and more consistent weather and definitely less expensive.

Thanks. That is a good point about the weather in March.
