Here's your friendly reminder that Southwest Airlines next schedule release is expected to occur WEDNESDAY, December 11th! For those planning to snag flights, set those calendar reminders so you don't forget!
  • Currently SW is offering flights through 6/6/20 and this next release will take their schedule out to 8/10/20 (covering almost the entire summer). I'll try to post an additional reminder next week.
For those that care about "release timing" it's been all over the board recently (all times Eastern):
  • The release on 10/30/19 went live at 7:15am.
  • The release on 9/26/19 went live at 7:30am.
  • The release on 8/15/19 went live at 10:41am.
  • The release on 5/30/19 went live at 9:20am.
And I was just thinking that we are almost a month out from the last Max schedule update. Hoping that maybe we can all get in those spring break trips before they start flying again.

We mostly only get sandhill cranes and other birds. We’ve seen the occasional tiny alligator in the retention ponds but nothing scary. I like all of the little lizards that show up in our lanai. The gnats have been horrible lately though. Our whole backyard is swarmed with them and they’re so small they can get through the lanai screen
So far at by Sebastian home I have seen sandhill cranes, peacocks, pileated woodpeckers, and an armadillo all in or near my yard (and a gazillion lizards); and someone in the neighborhood posted a video of a bobcat from their Ring surveillance camera. I also had a very up close experience with one of those red, white and black spiders you posted the picture of from your lanai area, they are super icky.

For anyone going to DHS here's a timeline of RotR from today.

I would say that anybody planning on visiting WDW and hoping to ride RotR anytime in the next 6 weeks should start following this thread regularly just to see how things are going.

I’m 7 weeks from our trip and reading it religiously to just get a vibe for how things progress as crowds settle down a little bit.

@PolyRob and I are in there stirring things up at times too 🤣 😃

Oh I forgot about armadillos. We get a lot of those and they get hit by cars a lot. I didn’t realize that was an animal I’d see in Florida. A bobcat would be awesome but not at my house. The little red and black spiders actually aren’t so bad. They’re much easier to kill than the bigger spiders with long legs. I’ve only been killing spiders in our lanai but the ones by our bushes are getting out of hand. We’re gonna have to spray them and get the webs down.

I've been following, too. We will be at WDW for Marathon weekend, and at DLR the week after it opens for DS22's birthday there so trying to get a feel for things. We will also be at DLR for Christmas this year so lots of Disney in the next couple months. The ride sounds awesome, but definitely plan on breakdowns during the day.
