Just bought $300 in Target GCs for $270. Freedom has PayPal as a q4 category so you must pay through PayPal to get the 5% back if paying with a freedom card.

Thanks for the reminder! Just ordered mine and paid with Paypal. Slowly inching to $1,500 this quarter for CF.

Also, if anyone is using the Amex Offer for Shutterfly to buy gift cards, they don't email them immediately. Twice I have received them at midnight after I purchased them. Just plan some time to get them to take advantage of the offer. We had the offer on 4 cards, so it helped with Christmas cards and presents.

hmmm...not sure of the question...:scratchin an IP is a pressure cooker,I use it almost daily.... I like the saute function also which makes it very user friendly... soups, rice, roasts, chickens, bone broth...all the time. I was saying I like it much better thanmy slow cooker for that reason. with meats it can be a trick to release pressure at the right time to get them cooked right,It's taken me a while to learn that properly. I tend to use a little rice cooker also, since the IP is usually full of the food that goes with it...
IP is a multi function appliance that has a pressure cooker function. I’ve had a pressure cooker for years, well before IP was invented. I’d thought I’d like it well enough to get rid of my crockpot, slow cooker and rice cooker but no I still use them.
@disneymagicgirl the point of the slow cooker is you can leave it all day when you’re not home. A pressure cooker works when you’re in a hurry and forgot to take anything out for dinner 🤣

Why can't the multi appliances work how we want? :) I'll have to try slow cooking in my IP again. I do love it for rice but then often find I want to make rice AND something else in it. I've never used a rice cooker though. My family didn't really eat rice growing up and DH/MIL will make it on the stove. I always mess it up on the stove 🙈

ETA: Also I plan to spend part of my day looking at the freezer slow cooker meal site you posted this week! Thank you!

Ordered a $300 Target GC on DW's account; went through fine.

Tried ordering a $300 Target GC on my account; canceled.

Tried again, canceled.

Wondering if Target is enforcing the 1 per household limit online.
Wow that stinks! It also appears you can't use the 20% online and in store. I just tried using the one I use in store yesterday, on an online order, no go.
Wonder if you can still buy a 2nd gift card in store without using the app?

My parents are buying a target gc today online but only need $250. It looks like you can only pick $200 or $300. Idk which one to tell them to get. When I did the math the chair we want comes out to $248.

Do you have one picked out or are planning to start looking? This is something we've kicked around but I don't even know where to start.
We got one from here almost 5 years so. Still works great. Pretty spendy, DH likes to buy high quality equipment and this company seemed to have great reviews. At the time it was also on ebates, don't know if it still is or not.

Try ordering on dw's account from an iPad maybe? Also going to the store, if you have one nearby, should work. Stinks that they are enforcing the limit. I remember 2 years ago I bought $1,500.00, but that was when you could then use the Target GCs to buy Disney GCs with the Red card and get another 5%. The good old days :upsidedow. This year I'm not even sure if I can make use of $300.00, but will purchase and combine with my 20% off coupons somehow.

Yup. I was trying to avoid heading out in the rain. Drove to my nearby Target and picked up 2x $300 GCs using different cards on which we’re working on MSRs. (Using different cards because technically the deal is limit 1, and in past years Target has deactivated GCs for abusing the terms so I’m not giving them the same cc number to track my purchases.)

I’m actually wary of picking up Target GCs in store. A few years ago, I had a $300 GC from this deal drained by someone in SoCal (I’m in NorCal). This was before Target updated their checkouts to require the access number and all you had to do was scan the barcode on the GC to use it. I suspect someone took pictures of the barcodes on the GCs just sitting out on the racks, then used the picture of the barcode to scan and drain the GC remotely. Target investigated and issued me a new GC, but it was a hassle and worrisome few days.

You can buy more than 1 GC and get the discount but it has to be all in one order. Buy a $200 and a $50 in the same cart.

When you do the math, you're not adding in the 10% off from the GC right? That's like a behind the scenes discount. ( Just making sure you'll have enough on the card to complete the purchase)

Oh I thought you could only buy one gc per person. I misunderstood that. Okay cool I’ll have them get a $200 and a $50 in one order. We’re actually doing it for them with their card because my mom doesn’t want to “fool” with it lol.

No I’m not including the 10% in the chair price. I was including our 20% off coupon though. Actually it comes out to $246 because we have almost $2 in target circle rewards. So with the coupon and rewards we’re getting around $60 off. My parents are getting 10% off the gcs and also double cashback on discover since this is their first year with the card

OK, I lied. Not sure if I typed the code wrong on my computer (twice) but I just copied the code out of my email, from the coupon I used yesterday at the store, and it took the 20% off!

Don’t forget you can use a Discover card or Freedom card for an extra 5% back. Discover has Target as a q4 category. Freedom has PayPal as a q4 category so you must pay through PayPal to get the 5% back if paying with a freedom card.

The GCs will be active starting on 12/9. If you still have a BF 20% coupon (and in my and @elgerber’s case, an employee discount), this makes for very happy shopping 🥰
Thanks for suggesting the online Paypal option! Saves me a trip and gets me more UR points!
You can add the gift card to your Target App and pay with the app in store.

I received my CIP card. I went to the chase account where my CIC is registered and it is not pulling up my card. The only difference is I used my middle initial for the business name on my CIP, but didn’t on my CIC. Will I need to set up a separate business account for the CIP as a result?

this happened to me too, just call and they’ll be able to add the card to your account for you

Double post - sorry!

This happened to me too. It was not a huge amount (I think $75) and I had actually picked up an order in store on the same day, but several states away from where the gift card was used, so Target fixed it pretty quickly. But it did make me wary of GCs in general for a while, although I have lapsed back into accumulating them.

I'm a little sad that I'm not buying the discounted cards today. I can't even remember the last time I bought something from Target--a huge change from when you could buy Disney GCs with Target GCs. But now I have shifted pretty much all of my general household buying (cleaning supplies, paper products, etc.) to my grocery store, thanks to AmEx.
