Priceline Express Deals

Looking to book several nights in early June. How soon will deals start to appear? And is it possible to call to get 4 adults listed in the room?
Thanks!

No one really ever knows when deals will come out. Sometimes they’re months in advance but typically the closer you get the more deals come.
You can definitely call Disney after you book a PL deal to add more people, but I can’t say with or without certainty that they don’t charge for extra adults. Someone else with experience with 4 adults in the room can speak better to that.

Could someone please help with Dec 20-24 for Bonnet Creek? Looking for a room for our son. Thank you!

Hello! I firmly believe this deal is AS Movies for $95. Check in 12/20 check out 12/24.
It has the new amenity set Disney resorts are showing (Swimming Pool, Handicapped Rooms, No Smoking, Restaurant) and no mandatory fee.

The only 3* resorts in Bonnet Creek are the Disney values. The results page reports 200 reviews, and the only value in the 200s is Movies.

Hope that helps!

Agree!

PL gives the hint that I've booked here before, so would be ASMo :)

It could be at any time, but you're more likely to find the deals about four to six weeks before your desired dates.

Disney will charge an additional fee for extra adults in the room, but IIRC the way they handle it for PLE bookings is that after you call Disney wholesale to add the extra guests, if they are adults Disney will charge Priceline, and Priceline will then charge the additional fee to the credit card you used to pay for the room.

Disney resorts do not charge for 2 adults in the room. Values are $15 per adult after that, Moderates are $25 per adult and Deluxes are $35 per adult.

Just received this morning, I'm not clear when it expires (or maybe it goes until the March travel date).

"Coupon code SOFAFREE20 valid for $20 off a minimum $100 Express Deal hotel purchase, excluding taxes and fees, which includes a minimum of a two-night stay. Travel anytime until March 31, 2020. Express Deals are different, exact hotel revealed only after booking. All sales final."

Help! I’ve never even heard of doing this before and was wondering if you guys who are veterans could give me some pointers! My dates are May 21-25 and we’re looking to stay at Deluxe or Moderate! We don’t care which resort, just no value. Spend too much time in the room with my Mom’s arthritis and we like a little more comforts than a Value. Thanks in advance, friends!

Definitely a bit early to be looking at May dates (I am looking for some dates in March and will probably start watching Priceline in mid January). You'll want to start stalking PLE in early to mid March for your time frame.

Things to watch for:
Moderates are 3.5 stars, Deluxes are 4 stars
Narrow down your neighborhoods to Bonnet Creek and Disney Springs area. Anything else is outside of Disney property.
When you click "Book" it will take you to a screen that details charges - if you see "additional mandatory fee" that is a resort fee and indicates it is NOT a Disney property.
I always forget which amenities give away that it may be a Disney property, but I know that if the amenities list Free Breakfast or anything about pets, that's not a Disney resort.

I know some of the seasoned folks will have additional tips, but my only other suggestion is to follow this thread, and practice searching for PLE deals to get familiar with all of the info you need to look for - when it comes time to start seeing good deals for your dates, you'll be that much better at spotting the Disney ones!

Thank you, thank you!! Hopefully Disney deals will be out, too, so I can compare PH offers to Hotwire and Expedia!

Search 12/15-12/22 PLE Bonnet Creek. The 4 star is AKL and the 3 star is one of the All-star resorts. Use those as a comparison of what to look for.
I know this to be true because I have one night at AKL - savannah view this Saturday night, and I get the indicator "you've booked here before"

A couple things to remember:
* Your week may never be available as a PLE or HW hotrate. A lot of people book through Disney then cancel after they've secured an opaque listing.
* Typical Disney amenities are:
Swimming Pool
No Smoking Rooms/Facilities
Handicapped Rooms/Facilities
Restaurant
Airport shuttle (sometimes)
I have seen business center also.
* Look at the rating (8+, 9+) and the review number of the opaque listing, then go back to the standard priceline and compare those to Disney resorts. Look at the price of the Opaque listing where it says "was", and search for a comparable price on the non-opaque resort listings. This isn't guaranteed though, due to to differing room types you may receive. For example, my AKL said "was $350, now $260" That wasn't totally accurate because I got a savannah view which was $550/night from Disney. Take the price with a grain of salt.
* Be prepared to move your dates around +/- one day, add a day/remove day. I'm not sure the metrics, but sometimes adding an additional day will generate a result.
*If you find a 4 star resort that is NOT a Disney resort, it may show other opaque listings in a small block below. Those are usually 10% off deals. You can use another 10% off coupon for 20% off worst case.
*HW available usually goes further out than PL. PL offers a better discount as a rule. HW inflates hotel rates a lot, then reduces those rates to what the rack rate is or even higher sometimes.
*PL offers better coupons and discounts than HW.
*Moderate resorts are far more rare than value or deluxe. Don't count on finding a moderate.
*If all else fails, just book a room through the PL non-opaque listing for the 10% off.
*You can add additional guests to opaque listings through calling the Disney wholesale number.

Post a thread if you see something that may be a Disney resort. I've never seen anyone say they didn't know what it was.

Good luck!
