Trivia, Drinks and Lobster, our 8 night cruise on the Fantasy! Completed 2/9!!

That's SO disappointing that they mentioned open spots at brunch on the morning show and then you were treated badly by the Palo host! Terrible. I hope the rest of the cruise turned out great, following along!

Following along. Thank you for sharing your true report. It is awesome to hear your enthusiasm for kids club. Sorry to hear that you had a negative customer service experience and hope that you get a brunch spot

Sea Day One, Part One

Alarm went off at 8, into the shower I went, we had an important breakfast, no, not Palo (more on that later), but for the first time, we were experiencing the Disney Junior Breakfast! While we were getting ready, we were watching the Cruise Directors morning show and Leslie made a comment that kind of surprised me...she said that there were still openings at Palo and Remy for brunch. This was a unique itinerary for DCL and that attracted A LOT of Platinum cruisers, so much so when booking opened for Gold members, there were no brunch openings for any of us. Yes, with a cruise that had 3 sea days, Gold members were completely locked out of brunch (I also couldn't get us dinner on Pirate night either). We thought about trying to get a reservation on Embarkation Day, but the line was insane, I knew we would never get a spot. So hearing Leslie say there were still openings and to check at Palo really surprised me. We knew Palo didn't open until 10:00, so made a point to add that to our list to check out after breakfast.

We got an early start, so we stopped at the nursery for open house. The nursery is really cute and if we had a child under 3, I know they would have a great time! We then stopped next door at Oceaneer Club for their open house, I ran over to the Star Wars simulator to play (DH says I threw a child to the ground, that is not true, the station was open). I took a turn and then let DH play before we looked around some more. One day, I hope to get on the Panama Canal or Transatlantic cruises where they open the kids clubs to the adults at night, they are so much fun! Open Houses checked off (I forgot, we checked out Vibe and The Edge on Embarkation Day...oops), we headed toward our breakfast.

The character breakfast was in Animator's and it was really cute. They had Disney Junior cartoons playing on all the screens and the restaurant was brightly lit in fun colors. We were seated toward the back at a table by ourselves and were soon met by a character attendant, she asked that we don't get up for photos, that the characters would come to us and if we wanted to have autographs to put the items on the table (if a book, turned to the page where they wanted the character to sign). The server then came around with pastries, I grabbed a chocolate pillow and DH grabbed a crossaint. We then placed our orders, I had the Fancy Nancy's Selection which was a chocolate chip pancake, a Mickey waffle and was supposed to come with fresh fruit, but didn't get any fruit , but I ordered a side of bacon to go with it. DH had the DCL Express, it was eggs, hash browns, bacon, sausage and a grilled tomato. Again, no photos of food, but we were here for the characters, not the food! We saw Vampirina, Doc McStuffins, Fancy Nancy and Mickey Mouse. They came by our table in pretty quick succession and had fun with all of them!

We had a lot of fun at the breakfast, it's really more of a kid thing, but we had a good time, if you want to see more (including our food), here is the link to our video

We wrapped up our breakfast and were trying to kill some time until Palo opened, we went to the atrium and got our picture taken in front of the Pumpkin Tree

View attachment 456227

We then ran up to Palo to inquire about brunch, this is where I had my first ever and hopefully only negative interaction with a cast member. I mentioned earlier that I was surprised when cruise director Leslie said there were openings, but the hostess was so rude. She basically gave me a verbal beat down that there weren't any openings, but I could be added to the wait list, but at this point, the list was so long it wasn't worth it. She then informed me that she was trying to check in people with "actual" reservations and that I was holding her up. I was stunned, embarrassed and almost in tears, I went up there just asking a question and was humiliated. Looking back now, I really wish I would've gone to Guest Services and complained, nobody deserves to be treated that way, but at the time, I wanted to move on with my day, so we headed to movie quotes trivia!

Movie Quotes Trivia was held in O'Gill's and it was packed! There were a lot of adults on this cruise and a lot of them went to trivia, if you weren't there early enough, you didn't get a seat! We almost won this round, but came in second, no key chain for me! After trivia, we played our first (and only) game of Bingo. We didn't win, but I was so close on the jackpot round, the last game is always a coverall and if you win in so many calls (I think 45??), you win the jackpot, if there is no winner, you still keep playing, but for a smaller prize. For the longest time, my card was winning and then with like 10 numbers to go, completely stalled, I was the first stander, but didn't win. I love playing Bingo, the staff is so much fun and even when you don't win (we've never won), it's entertaining and "B11" takes on a new meaning!

After Bingo, it was time for our Frozen meet and greet. This was back in Animator's and was completely transformed from the breakfast earlier in the morning. I am willing to admit I have drunk the Frozen Kool-Aid, love that movie, love Anna and Elsa and was very excited to meet them!

View attachment 456231

Here I am discussing snow in Minnesota and that the climate is very similar to Arendelle!

View attachment 456233

He tells me he loves Anna, but he can never pronounce her name correctly! With a busy morning over, it was time to get some lunch!

Up Next: Will we ever make it outside today?

following along, agree with you, care more about the club host, Tisa & Jo are our favorites
never paid much attention to who the cruise director was, until we had one that we didn't care for

just read first sea day such a rude host at Palo, I would have either called or went to guest services, maybe if I had run into Leslie I would have mentioned the interaction, even if it was not the same day, no one deserves to be treated that way

:welcome:We had Tisa on our first cruise on the Fantasy, but have yet to have Jo. I have heard great things about her and hope we'll get to meet her on a future cruise! We just never see the Cruise Director, we only ever see them at the evening shows, so I'm always curious as to where people have so much interaction with them. I heard if we had ever had Clayton, we would've cared (and I'm semi-related to him, so that would've been cool to talk about), but sadly, we never got to experience him before he left DCL.

I do wish now that I had said something, I was just blown away by her rudeness and at the time, just wanted to move on, but it still bugs me all these weeks later. I have to get over it, thankfully with 7 cruises down, this was the first negative interaction we've had with a CM.

So excited to find your trip report. Following along.....

:welcome:Hope you enjoy!

That's SO disappointing that they mentioned open spots at brunch on the morning show and then you were treated badly by the Palo host! Terrible. I hope the rest of the cruise turned out great, following along!

:welcome:I think with this whole thing, I'm the most upset that Leslie said there were openings on the morning show. If we hadn't heard that, we never would've gone to Palo. The rest of the cruise was amazing!!

Following along. Thank you for sharing your true report. It is awesome to hear your enthusiasm for kids club. Sorry to hear that you had a negative customer service experience and hope that you get a brunch spot

:welcome:I hope you enjoy the rest of the report. Thankfully the Palo experience was our only negative interaction with a CM, the rest of them were fantastic! We didn't get brunch on this cruise, but we've been lucky enough to experience it on all of our previous cruises (and have it booked for our next one), so we were okay to miss it on this cruise (but man, did we miss it, especially the chicken parm)!

I can't believe it's been almost a week since I was last here! Work was crazy, but made the week go by fast! Yesterday, DH had to go do a shoot at a Christmas show at one of the colleges about an hour south of us. I tagged along for company, but it made for a long day. Today, I'm hoping to get the tree put together (it's up, just looks very sad without it's ornaments), DH has to get our new snow blower put together (they're predicting anywhere from 3-8 inches of snow for tomorrow and I don't want to shovel again)! We're also hoping to go to a movie today and do a little shopping, we'll see what happens! But, let's get back to where we left off!

Sea Day 1, Part 2

Busy morning behind us, we were now hungry for some lunch. DH is really not a huge fan of Cabana's and tries to avoid it at all cost. So we headed toward Royal Court to see what they had. It was pretty busy, so we weren't able to get a table on our own, we were put at one with 2 other couples (again, this never bothers us, it's nice to chat with people). DH and I were pretty boring and ordered the same starters and mains. We started with the Calamari, it had just the right amount of breading and the breading was really crispy, just how I like it!

457511

For the main course, we both had the meatloaf, it was soooo good! DH is not a huge fan of meatloaf, so I was surprised he ordered it and he really enjoyed it.

457512

Dessert is where we were different, DH went with the chocolate lava cake

457514

And I had the Pecan Pie

457515

Why oh why did I not get the lava cake? I'm addicted to chocolate and that was so good! I normally love Pecan Pie, but this was too dry and had way too many pecans in it. I didn't finish it and tried to steal more bites of DH's dessert!

With lunch out of the way, what comes next...drinking!! It was time for our Mixology session, this is my favorite tasting on DCL! Every time, we do it we get different drinks and it's always entertaining. We booked our Mixology through DCL, there were a couple of sessions offered through our Facebook group, but DCL has now changed the group tastings to where they now have to be on a port day and the price is almost double. Mixology was held in Skyline Lounge, we headed in, found a place to sit and got our drinking on!

457519

Our first drink was the Cadillac 53 and this was my favorite of them all. Our host created this one when he was on the Wonder and worked at the Cadillac Lounge. DH was one of the volunteers to make this drink and got a laugh out of everyone when he tried to pour more alcohol than necessary into the glass and then tried to walk off with the full drink!

457522

Second drink was the Lemon Drop Martini, it was good!

457523

The third drink was a Palmer Breeze, it was a layered drink with sparkling wine. It was good, probably my second favorite drink!

457528

Fourth drink was the classic Mojito. I love Mojito's and this one was fantastic. A Mojito tasting is to come later in the week! I didn't take a photo of drink number 5, but it was a Cinnamon Crunch shot with Fireball and Rumchata. Oh, this was good, I could've had a few more of these!

After Mixology, it was time for Ultimate Disney Trivia, sadly, we still didn't win :sad1: (in fact, we did terrible, I guess we're not the Disney experts we claim to be). Then, we walked through Tiffany's, where DH still refused to buy me anything. Walking out of Tiffany's, we found Daisy and she had almost no line!

457532

If Daisy's dress is any indication, it was formal night, so after our picture, it was time to head to the room and get dressed in our finest!

Up Next: Formal Night

Those cocktails look amazing. I wrote down the names in my notes app so I remember to try them next month.

Does every Fantasy sailing have a formal night? I've searched our cruise planner and can't seem to find any info about it. Is it possible there isn't one on our sailing, am i searching in the wrong place, or is it something they just don't tell you?

I'm not positive, but I believe any cruise over 6 nights has a formal night, but if you're on a 7 night, you will have one for sure. It usually falls on the first sea day and then there's a semi formal night that is later on in the week. Of course both of them are optional. You will have tuxedos and then those in shorts. After every cruise, I say I'm done with formal night, but then I still pack a formal dress and make DH pack his suit!

Sea Day 1, Part 3

Now running a little behind, we ran to the room and got dressed quickly for formal night. At this point, I wasn't feeling the greatest, so we skipped the Captain's Reception and all the fun drinks that went with it and sat in a port hole while DH did a quick tour of the Oceaneer's Lab. I was starting to feel a little better, so we headed to the show. Tonight was Lynn Trefzger, she was a Ventriloquist and she was hilarious, we really enjoyed her show!

After Lynn Trefzger, we headed to our second home, the Tube to play 70's music trivia. Now, not having been born in the 70's (missed being a part of that decade by 16 days) and DH only spending 4 months in the 70's, we didn't expect to do very well. We managed to get a 21 out of 40, so I considered that pretty successful.

It was then time for dinner, now with every cruise prior to this one, we have always had formal night in the what I consider the most "formal" dining room (Royal Court, Royal Palace, Triton's or Lumiere's), we've never requested a specific dining rotation, it just happened. This time, we were in Enchanted Garden, I do love the atmosphere in that restaurant, I love watching the flowers open through the meal. This night, we were by ourselves, our tablemates never showed up. We had a little bit of paranoia that maybe they didn't like us even though we thought we got along (spoiler alert, they liked us, turned out one of them just had really simple tastes and wasn't a fan of the menus in most of the dining rooms, so they did Cabanas for dinner a lot). We actually ate different meals on this night. DH started with the Tuna Avocado Tower

457622

This was really good, I wish I ordered it, I had the Lobster Ravioli

457623

This is always a favorite of mine, nice chunks of lobster and the pasta is really good. I think next time I will be getting 2 appetizers because DH's was really good too! I also ordered a wedge salad, but forgot to take a picture, it was a wedge salad, do I need to say more?

For our mains, DH had the Prime Rib, he had also asked for the Scallops, he was just wanting the Scallops, but they brought him the whole entrée, sides and all!

457624

457625

He enjoyed both of them, he wished the Prime Rib had more of a crust on it, but said it was good! I tried something brand new to me, not just on DCL, but for the first time ever. I had the Sea Bass

457627

This was fantastic! The Sea Bass was cooked perfectly and the pea risotto was so flavorful. This was one of my favorite dishes we had that week!

For dessert, we split a couple of options, we started with the Lemon Raspberry Mousse (which I didn't take a photo of). It was off the no added sugar menu and I really enjoyed it, it had the perfect amount of lemon. We also got the Sticky Date Pudding
457629

DH didn't mind it, I had one bite and ewww! No thank you, it wasn't my thing. With DH and I the only 2 at our table, dinner wrapped up quickly, we even had time to run up to the room and change back into normal clothes. We headed back down to the Tube for Snippets. It was another musical trivia game, won't give too much away, but it was a lot of fun. I also had a little embarrassing moment, I know a lot of random trivia and Matt overheard me guess "Men in Black" after a 1/2 second, so he had to call me out on it! After Snippets, it was time for my favorite game show of the cruise "Match Your Mate", if you've never watched it before, it's a take of the Newlywed game. It's hysterical, there was a couple who had gotten married a couple days before, one that celebrated their one-year anniversary and another couple that had been married for many years. If you have never seen this show, watch it, it's amazing!!

After Match Your Mate, we were a little hungry, but the buffet in the adults area didn't really have any food that was appealing. so we went up to Deck 11, the pizza place was open, but nothing looked good. So, we headed to the room and ordered room service. They told us 20-30 minutes, but it took almost an hour. I called back after 45 minutes to cancel, but they said they were on their way to our room. It still took another 15 minutes, my chicken tenders and fries were good and DH enjoyed his buffalo wings, but it wasn't worth the hour wait. Because of this, this was the only night we ordered room service.

Sea Days for us are always full of activities and this was no exception. We only made it outside when we walked deck 4 to get from aft to forward and at the very end of the night when we hit up deck 11. We're not really hang by the pool and relax people (actually I would love to chill with a book, but DH would never have it). We didn't get to bed until almost 2:00, but we were excited for another day at sea!

Up Next: Sea Day 2

Happy Tuesday! Today was my day off, took my mom out to do some Christmas shopping and then made some Snickerdoodle cookies for my work's cookie exchange on Thursday!

Sea Day 2, Part 1

This was the only day we didn't set an alarm, after the whole room service issue the night before, we decided we would sleep in and see what was available when we woke up. Our first activity of the day was TV Tunes Trivia in O'Gills. DH went ahead to grab a spot. I don't remember if I mentioned it, but this cruise has A LOT of adults, so trivia sessions were always packed! We did pretty well, but still lost, the winning team got a perfect score.

After trivia, we headed over to the Tube to play another game called Wavelengths. This was another team game, no prizes except for pride. It was a fun game, the point was to make your way from one end of the board to the other. DH was elected team captain of our side. We lost this game and I threw a mini temper tantrum (all in good fun). One of the questions was name Lady Gaga's first album, we knew it started with an F and I was telling DH it was Fame, but the rest of our team was saying Freak, he went against me and I was right, so we lost the game.

Because we skipped breakfast to play trivia, we were hungry, so we headed to Royal Court for some lunch. We both started off with the tomato soup

457889

This was really good, you could taste the tomatoes and the herbs, this was not your basic can of soup. I almost wanted to order another cup, but I managed some restraint. For our mains, I got the herb steak salad

457890

In theory, this should've been delicious. It had steak, cucumbers, avocados, red onions with tortilla chips and an herb-cilantro sour cream dressing. It was good, but it was really bland. The steak had no seasoning and the dressing didn't have as much flavor as I hoped. It wasn't bad, it was still good, but I was a little disappointed. DH made the smart choice and got the salmon.

457891

He said this was really good, I had a bite and it was fantastic! I like fish, but I can never prepare it well, so it always turns out gross. I need to remember to eat more fish when I go on DCL, they do a good job! We skipped on dessert because we had a very important date with a very important character!!

We love Stitch, he's the favorite of both DH and I, so we wanted to meet him! We were so happy we managed to get in his line just in time, he was a riot! He loved our shirts, but was sad that he wasn't represented. We told him that we had a lot of shirts with him on them and would try to find him again when we were wearing them (sadly, we didn't have any other photo ops with him). These are probably my favorite character pictures from our cruise!

457948

We were supposed to have our Princess Meet and Greet during this time, but we had a more important event. I went down to Guest Services to see if we could give up our tickets in case someone else wanted them. The CM told me that people still see the even and think it's just a regular character greeting and then get upset when they need a ticket. The character handlers always send people to Guest Services to see if any spots are available. Hopefully, someone was able to take advantage our those tickets. The CM also gave us new tickets for our last sea day, so we were still able to have our own meeting!

So where were we off to? The one thing I was very excited for on this cruise was the opportunity to attend the Gold and Platinum Reception. DCL had changed things a couple of years ago and now these events are held on cruises of 8 nights or more. Our invitation was waiting in our room the night before and we were really excited to see what it was all about. The reception was held in the Walt Disney Theatre, as we walked in, they had glasses of Champagne for adults and cider for the kids. Leslie started everything off with talking about our cruise and how many Gold/Platinum members were on board (I believe there were over 900 of us). She mentioned that there was one guest who was on their 82nd DCL cruise (I wish I was so lucky). Then she turned it over to a couple of the technical staff to talk about Frozen, which premiered on our cruise. It was interesting, they showed off the puppets and how they all worked, but it went on a little too long. You could tell people were starting to get bored, us included. Things finally wrapped up and as we walked out, they gave us Rice Krispy bars. I didn't witness this, but talking to someone later, they watched someone ask the CM for bars for different members of her family, her originally obliged, but she kept asking and he finally had to tell her no, so when he turned his back, she took his whole entire tray and dumped it in her purse, someone must really like their Rice Krispy treats!

458000

A photo of the puppet demonstration.

After the Gold and Platinum Reception, we had to hurry upstairs to the Meridian Lounge for our Martini tasting. I wasn't sure what to expect of this, I've never been much of a martini drinker (except for chocolate), but I was very surprised. First up was the traditional martini

458002

Yep, not my thing, too dry, too yucky, but I did enjoy the olive!! The next one was a take on the lemon drop martini, with a cherry on the bottom

458003

This one was fantastic, it was the perfect combination of sweet and sour! The third martini was a take on a Bellini and had a blueberry in it

458004

This was really good too. Fourth martini was a Sour Apple Martini

458005

I haven't had a one of these since college, I forgot how good they were! I'm always reminded of Scrubs when I hear of apple martinis, JD (Zach Braff's character) always ordered one when he went out. Side note: What happened to Zach Braff? He just kind of disappeared.

Last Martini was my favorite, it was a spin on the Chocolate Martini, it was a Chocolate Rasberry Martini and I know why they saved it for last, it was fantastic!

458006

We had a lot of fun doing this tasting and I would do it again, I wasn't a huge fan of the traditional martini, but all of the other ones were fantastic! With that, we headed to our room for a quick break before we headed to our next adventure!

Up Next: More Trivia and Dinner

Love reading your story! We're doing the Fantasy in August for the first time (we did the Dream twice) so this is making me excited!

Tacky tacky tacky.

I asked for and was given ONE extra for my 7 year old daughter who didn't come because we thought it was adults only. If you have 10 other family members who opted not to attend, that's on them. Or you are just trying to stockpile the snacks.

:welcome:The Fantasy is very similar to the Dream, but it's so nice being on board for longer cruises!

I know DCL has cut down on the amount of "freebies" from previous cruises, but I don't think that gives people the right to act like animals, they were rice krispy treats!

Sea Day 2, Part 2

After the Martini tasting, we went down to O'Gills to play another round of Movie Quotes Trivia. We hadn't had enough drinks at the tasting, so we had to take advantage of the Drink of the Day, a Yellow Bird

458568

This was my least favorite Drink of the Day, all I could taste was fake banana. We also ordered the chips and trio of dips, the first (and only) time we paid for food on board. I don't have a photo, but it was basic chips with queso, pico and guacamole. It wasn't that great, but it did the trick. We were waiting in a packed O'Gills wondering where Matt was, turns out they moved the trivia to the Tube because O'Gills had been filling up all the time. We ran over to the Tube and teamed up with another couple this time around. We tied with another team and had to do a tie-breaker. The tie-breaker question was how many minutes is the Godfather trilogy in it's entirety. I have never watched any of the movies, so I was no help. I can't even remember the insane amount of minutes that was the answer, but we were closest and the DLC luggage tags were ours!!

After trivia, we walked around deck 4 for a little bit and then it was time to watch Aladdin. We had seen it back it 2016, but we were looking forward to the new refurb. The first thing we noticed was the new scrim surrounding the stage

458570

The show was amazing and I forgot how incredible the flying carpet scene was.

458572

DH snuck a photo of the talented cast at the end!

After the show, we wandered the shops a little, but didn't buy anything. We then got in line to meet the main man himself, Captain Mickey!

458574

We then headed downstairs to dinner, which was in Royal Court. The Royal Court menu is my favorite of the rotational dining rooms. DH and I got the same things to eat throughout the whole dinner, we both started with the Iced Lobster and Jumbo Shrimp

458575

My only complaint is that there is never enough, I always want more! Next, we both had the French Onion Soup

458576

This was good, but not as good as previous visits. The broth was really thick, almost like a gravy. For our main, we got the Chateaubriand-Roasted Filet Steak

458577

Except for the filet in Palo, this is my favorite steak in all of the dining rooms and it was cooked a perfect medium rare. And for the reason I love the Royal Court menu, for dessert, we had the Grand Marnier Souffle

458580

This is so good, I could eat several of these, but I'm always too full! DH also got the Crème Brulee as a second dessert

458581

He enjoyed it, but not as much as he had hoped. Again, it was just the two of us for dinner, so we finished pretty quick and did some shopping before heading down to the Tube for the night. First up, we played The Feud, which was a lot of fun, our side of the room destroyed the other side. Then it was the adult show of Lynn Trefzger, which was even better than the one the night before!

458583

After her show wrapped up, it was time for bed, after 2 days at sea, we were finally visiting our first port!

Up Next: St. Kitts

Really enjoying your trip report and videos. I did the same thing as your husband did by ordering both the Grand Marnier soufflé and the Crème Brule. My two favorite desserts! As much as I liked both of them next time I will save one for later. Very rich for that time of evening for me.

I know you can order them on other nights from the other dining rooms, but I stop myself from doing it. I could eat that soufflé every night!

You two are the best!!!

My beloved Grandparents were from the Superior/Duluth area, so hearing your voices brings such good memories..... :cloud9: !

Thank you! I never realized I had an accent until I was in my 20's and now I just own it! I have to laugh though, DH was born in St. Louis and moved to Minnesota as a teenager, I've told him that he's developed the accent and he refuses to believe me!

St. Kitts Part one

After 2 days at sea, we were really excited to finally get off the ship. We didn't have an all-ashore time until 9 am, so we were able to watch us pull into port. Our first impression...St. Kitts is beautiful

458771

We went up to deck 13 to get some photos before we had to meet for our tour. We also grabbed a quick breakfast in Cabanas, filled up our Yeti with some ice water (it was so hot already, we were thankful for the water). It was then time to head to the Buena Vista Theatre to check in for our tour. We did one of the tours offered through Disney, the Essential St. Kitts with Fairview-adults only departure. As I have said multiple times, there weren't a lot of families on this cruise, so the adult only excursions were packed! After a few minutes, our CM led us off the ship with his paddle of power, we were excited because we were the Stitch group! We were led off the ship and handed off to a couple of tour guides (who looked a little overwhelmed with the size of our group).

458772

458773

There seemed to be some initial confusion, but we were then led to a bunch of small vans that would be our transportation for the day, we hopped in ours and were on our way to our first stop...Fairview Great House

458774

This place was packed! There were a bunch of different tours that stopped here, we were herded (that really is the appropriate term) to the main house where there was a brief introduction to the grounds. Honestly, this might have been interesting, but we got there mid speech and it was so crowded and hot inside that it was hard to pay attention. They let us loose to then explore the grounds, but my first stop was the gift shop! I managed to find a magnet for my mom and then we explored the grounds.

We had about 30 minutes to explore, the grounds were beautiful, there was a variety of different trees, flowers and fountains all over the place! We were able to explore the house quickly before we had to get back to our van. We got to the van just in time, we got to our seats and it started raining. We felt sorry for the groups that were just showing up, but we were on our way to our second stop which was the Romney Gardens and Caribelle Batik Studios. It was about a 30 minute drive, we were lucky enough that by the time we made it to our next stop, the rain had stopped! Romney Gardens was an old sugarcane factory, that was now a Batik studio. Let's be honest, the whole stop was to visit a gift shop and hopefully buy some Batik clothing or bags. The Batik was pretty, but I didn't have need for any of it, but the gift shop was very busy! We did stop and take some photos while we were there

Our tour guide told us this tree was 400 years old, we drove around it getting to the entrance, it was huge!

View from the observation deck. We also purchased a glass of rum punch to share. This was really good, we drained our glass and put the ice in our water bottle. We also had about 30 minutes to explore here and then it was back to the van for our final stop!
