I've been watching this feed and I've seen no-go's on $160 and $165....someone posted they might try $172. I initially was thinking of $170 but after speaking with my agent, he said $170 was most likely a no-go but to try $175 and we'd have a 60% chance.
It seems like they are really going after VGC right now. I would not try to get a serious bargain by lowballing too much on it right now. It all depends on how bad you want it. I do not remember from upthread how many points you are going for but to go up $5 on 150 points is $750, so if you want it bad enough, going up to $175 isn't going to cost you a ton more. Good luck! I hope you get it. Hang in there! They can't take them all back (right?)!!

Thanks for the advice Jenniebee...I am going after 213 points and did submit at $175. We'll see.

Just recently we had our VGC pass at $187. We looked around at what they were taking and were nervous to go much below $185. I am curious how you will fare and wish you only the best. Perhaps Disney will be in the holiday mood and let it go thru!

Well, I understand that the mouse has had a long list of buyers for VGC and the recent ones we've had were too appealing for them not to take -- bad for us buyers in the market. That said, the resell market appears willing for $165-175 level, just the mouse loves it too! Gotta love/hate the ROFR process.

ghdgs
I just signed a contract to purchase through Fidelity - only one listing caught my eye, and it was still available. After entering the "submit offer" online, an agent called me to discuss the details and costs, then said they would contact seller with offer. Agent called back in 10 minutes to say seller accepted. Hopefully will send to Disney in the next day or two. Just checked the site, "my" listing shows as "Sale Pending" - so it does seem pretty up to date. Good luck.
thanks. Seems like once you get the agent assigned to the listing it seems to go pretty quickly. Now I’m just waiting for my contract-

Woohoo!!!!! Merry Christmas! We just got the email we passed as well! Love that quick ROFR wait! Wish it was always like that!
Agreed...super fast! What's funny is as soon as I received the email from my agent, I received a call from DVC trying to sell me RIV 🤣🤣🤣 I told him the good news and heard his pitch excitement fade...but I gave him a glimmer of hope that I would buy direct at some point. It's the holidays...I'm not that savage to rob him of holiday cheers 😁

Our guide has been pushing RIV at us too...."It's so amazing.." blah blah blah....honestly it just doesn't really get me going. I may change my tune once we visit and see it in Jan, but for now I am happy with my 2 Poly contracts and the new Boardwalk. The only other resort that tempts me right now is Copper Creek. We almost pulled the trigger and bought direct last March and I kinda wish we had....but now I can get it cheaper on the resale market. ;-)

Gonna have to wait till my tax refund comes in to advance our Deathstar plan, to acquire a nice cheap SSR contract to fund our Aulani trips and all other stays at various 7month resorts. Merry Christmas and enjoy that BWV contract.
