On the bus after the party tonight. We had a great time and even though it was a sold out party and pretty crowded, we were able to do everything we wanted! We did (in order):
-met Jack and Sally (lined up around 2:20, was 2nd in line and met at 4:33)
-Bought some party merchandise
-Went through the bypass
-met Nick and Judy (lined up around 5:15ish, was 3rd in line, met at 6:17)
-Met Winnie the Pooh and friends (got in line around 6:20, met at 6:47)
-Met Aurora and Snow White with their princes (got in line around 6:50, met at 7:22)
-Did the Tinkerbell lantern photo (1 group in front of us so a short wait, did while in line for Aurora and Snow White by switching out)
-Met the Tweedles while waiting for Ariel & Eric at 7:42, was a short line with about 6-7 groups in front of me
-Met Ariel and Prince Eric (by far the longest line, got in line around 7:25 and met at 8:12)
-Got some cookies (all lines were super long so we only did this 3 times throughout the night)
-Met Minnie & Daisy with Scrooge and Donald at 8:39, a relatively short line
-Got the Zero magic shot
-Met Mickey with no line at 8:52
-Club Tinsel
-Met Mary Poppins and Bert (they were really hard to meet due to their schedule!!) - got in line around 9, they came out at 9:15 since they were in the parade and met at 9:26
-Got a photo with the green ornament
-Met Aladdin and Abu at 9:57
-Watched the fireworks by the Crystal Palace
-Met Cinderella, Prince Charming, and Elena at 10:26, line was very short
-Did some photos in the photo pass studio (Sir Mickey’s)
-11pm parade down Main Street
-Rode Space Mountain (this is a MUST and was very fun. the line was only 15 minutes at ~11:40ish)
-Did all the magic shots on Main Street between 12-1am
I recommend having a solid plan. We did a lot of running around the park and our feet hurt but it was so worth it! There was only 2 of us so I recommend switching out during character lines to get photos and cookies while the other person keeps the spot in line. Please ask if you have any questions!

Attended party last night. Was expecting chaos due to party being sold out and extra people attending that were rained out on Tues. it was of course super crowded along main street however CMs did a super job of keeping a walkway open along the right side of Main St, the Emporium side was very congested all night. I had to show my wristband 4x while inside the Emporium but only once out in the park at 7:30 when getting in line for HM. Ride lines we walked by seemed a bit longer than what we expected. Cookie lines were super long but moved very quickly. There were multiple cookie lines at most stations and some of those lines were way shorter than others. The line outside Cosmic Rays was the longest and it moved quickly inside and then once inside you were directed to the left and if you kept walking all the way to the left the last 3 cookie lines were empty as people just got in the first lines and didn’t bother walking a few more steps over. In addition to the cookies listed in the party map there were additional cookies being handed out, Rice Krispie treats, and packages of the Keebler Frozen cookies, We also attended the Fireworks Terrace Dessert Party and it was great to have a table and plenty of hot drinks. Many of the desserts were smaller versions of the special desserts offered for purchase in the park, including the Olaf frozen choc cake, orange bird mousse, Sven’s carrot cake, and all the cookies being offered at the cookie stations out in the park including the large Minnie cookie. The second parade at 11:00 was also way more crowded along Main Street than we expected. We left after fireworks and only waited a few minutes for a bus back to resort. We had a wonderful time and did rides, got cookies, attended dessert party, and got a few photo pass photos, we did not do any character photos so can’t comment on how that went, in general people seemed to be enjoying themselves . We did speak to quite a few who said they had been at rained out party on Tues and were using passes given out to attend last night. We are going to party again tonight and were going to attend the Tony’s party to get special viewing area for the parade but I did cancel that as I don’t think it is necessary after all.

I’m at tonight’s party and it does seem crowded but so far manageable. We came in a little before 4, tons of people waiting to be let in already. We managed to do a couple of bypass photos, got our cookies, rode Jingle cruise with an FP, rode BTMR with our second and last FP. We then went to buy a turkey leg at liberty Square market and then Corn dogs at Casey’s. We sat by the garden area in front to watch the castle lighting. We then went to FL and rode it’s a small world. By then CMs started checking wristbands for people entering rides. We got off when it was just before 7 and the cookie line at Pinocchio Haus was open. Long line but it was quick. It was teacups next and we wanted to ride the speedway but it was a posted 40 mins wait. We rode the people mover instead. We went to meet Nick and Judy, waited 20-25mins and then rode the speedway- posted wait was 20mins then. We’re now at the dessert party and relaxing a bit before we hit the plaza garden to wait. I see the parade just going through Main Street now.

edit to add: we were not planning to watch the parade tonight but I may change my mind since the forecast for Sunday doesn’t look so good still!

FWIW, I wasn’t watching during the day but it seems like tonight sold out as well given the calendar is totally removed from the website now. Not sure about that, but seems like it could be likely.

Anyone see any sold out signs?

Sorry I didn’t notice anything when I came in but I was paying attention to my 5 year old so I could have missed it

Just getting around to updating from attending on 12/6.

My wife and I only had to wait about 25 minutes for Jack and Sally, which was pretty incredible as far as I was concerned. When we only met Jack back in 2014, I recall waiting much longer than that.

We got on Space three times with no wait longer than 30 mins (that was when we first rode). While it was interesting to see it it with so much light, I prefer the pitch blackness of it. But I am glad I got to see it at least lit up like that once during my trips.

Big Thunder was a walk on during the first parade, but right after we got off the ride and looked back at the time, it went up to like 40 mins as the parade had ended.

The fireworks were fantastic -- can't beat Disney fireworks shows.

We'll likely do the party again in 2021 on our next trip down.

Not looking good at all for tomorrow nights party. Sucks. This is the first year a Christmas party was late enough in December for us to attend.

This is also the party included in the Ultimate Holiday packsge. I hope AK doesn’t get rained out for them tonight as well. foresee Disney giving out comps of the forecast holds they way it looks. That Gulf Storm plowing towards Florida right now isn’t typical afternoon showers or light rain.

We went to the party last night (20/12) and I will add this is the only Disney park trip we are doing on this holiday. I was apprehensive about crowds (although we have visited in July in the past so we're well used to busy). Honestly, it was everything I hoped it would be. They let us in about 3.40pm and we headed along the bypass, got a group pic and headed for our first fastpass which was Jungle cruise between 3.30 and 4.30. We had it done by about 4.05. We decided to head down main Street afterwards for some pics before it got dark, and noticed Mickey at Town Square was showing 15 min wait. As this is the only Disney we're doing, we thought it would be good to get a chance to see the main mouse. Waited maybe 10 mins max, got our pics and headed to our 2nd fastpass which was Space Mountain. Had it completed well on time and then headed to our third fastpass at Splash Mountain. Haunted Mansion was showing a 15 min wait so we squeezed that in. After that we went to Cosmic Rays for a quick bite to eat. Came out of there suitably fed and watered and then chilled for a short while on the People Mover. As we came off that, the Totally Tomorrowland Christmas show was starting. We watched that til 8pm and then went over to the castle in time for Elsa's Frozen Holiday Wish at 8.15. Straight after that we decided to do the Buzz Light-year ride which was also showing a 15 min wait. We then headed towards the castle to get a spot for the Mickey's Most Celebration show but held back a little as the parade was still passing and we were intending to catch the second one. Grabbed a perfect spot right in front of the castle and remained there for the fireworks too. Then we headed down main Street to get a good spot for the second parade. Pretty much the full main Street kerb was taken but we managed to find a wee spot in front of the Emporium. Absolutely loved the parade however 3 women sitting in front of some of our family decided to stand for the parade - this I find incredibly selfish. If you're lucky enough to get a kerb spot for the parade, I just think it's courteous to other people to remain seated so those behind can see. These ladies sat right until the parade started and then stood - literally the only people on the front row who I could see standing. Everyone else did the polite thing and sat. But anyway (!!) the parade was just magical and in all, we were delighted with how the whole party went for us. We expected the worst and experienced the best, especially as it was sold out. We managed 4 cookie stops during the night too so we made the most of what we could. More than happy with our lot!

Anyone else going today? I’m wondering what a solid plan is for tonight with all the rain. I’m guessing the parades won’t run with a lot of rain. Fireworks too?

The parade is more likely to be delayed, cancelled, or reduced in some fashion depending on the exact conditions.

Fireworks are rarely flat out cancelled. They will be delayed in heavy weather conditions, but they will almost always go off... eventually.

Good luck with the weather.

We were rained on Tuesday and stayed until about 930. The first parade and early shows were cancelled but they had the fireworks and second parade later when the rain let up a bit but we had already left because our shoes were drenched. I would go if I were you, wear ponchos and crocs or sandals, and hope for the best. If it is like Tuesday, they will give you recovery passes. We used them for after hours in AK the next day, which was fantastic, true low crowds! We still did some things during the party and got lots of cookies (bring a bag). We decided the party wasn't for us though, just too crowded and chaotic.

Thanks!! I hope they run one parade but it doesn’t look like the rain will let up tonight. I knew we should have watched it on Friday but my 5 year old wanted to do rides! Oh well... fingers are still crossed.

That sucks. We really don’t plan to go back to Disney this trip anymore so hopefully they will give me something that works. We will go prepared! Maybe not with shoes, we don’t really have sandals or crocs with us this trip, just sneakers. Hope it won’t be so bad

They gave options on the card for a one day park ticket, or another event. The CM told us you could also ask for a refund. Just be very careful where you are walking, especially around the people mover area. Standing water was very deep. Our sneakers and socks were drenched.

We are going! But I’m ready to bag it early if necessary. We have ADR at 2:30 at LTT and then plan to line up for jack and sally which is all indoors. After that we’ll play it by ear. Sad but my kids have weak lungs and I don’t want to chance them getting sick on the first day of our trip!

We also left early Tuesday... well, we didn't leave until 10:30, but I spent from 8:50-10:30 in line at guest services. lol. I wore sandals but my 15 year old had socks and sneakers on (he's never found sandals that don't hurt his feet) and was miserable from the ankle deep water and actually had water sloshing in his shoes. I totally agree with your statement about the footwear. I think with croc type shoes or any sandals that can get wet and a poncho, it is doable. Adding in an umbrella would be really helpful, too. The unfortunate thing about Tuesday was that lightning was not only VERY closeby and dangerous but closed ALL the outdoor rides. Ultimately with all those factors plus the first parade being cancelled we left early. If it had been just me in attendance I'd probably have toughed it out, though!

The lightening was scary! I really wanted to do Space Mountain, we saw a glimpse of it on the people mover, but the line was so long and I didn't want to stand outside in the lightening. We decided not to wait in the line at guest services and left and called back at POP. I waited on hold for an hour and a half but was happy with the outcome. If I would have had my sandals on, I would have stuck it out, but wet, squishy sneakers and socks are miserable.
