Here comes the Slow Pass - Updated 5/27 Final Meal and Wrap up

Glad Early morning magic worked out for you guys! Sounds like a great day at MK and a fun time for the girls getting haircuts!

it was a great MK morning! I need to try and book haircuts for our trip in May I think....

Very happy to read about your experience with MK EMM
We are considering doing it on our February trip with my kids who will be 5 and 2
I was happy to read that you thought it was worth it even though one of you had to stay with the little one while the oldest went on SDMT
Did you do any of the princess meets?
I agree that with kids who wake up early anyways, it is definitely a better use of our time than After hours!
I think the after hours is the better ‘deal’ more rides, longer time, I think mornings get the win on food, but I don’t think my girls are ready for it yet!

When in Feb are you going? We will be there for a short trip the 19-23, just 3 park days!

Wr didn’t do any princess meets most because we had a big princess day coming up later on the trip with BBB, we easily could have cut some carousel rides or pooh rides for a meet or two.

We had goals of 2 mine train rides, and 1 each of Peter Pan, pooh, carousel, we did that and more I was very happy.
I would have goals of what you want to get done. Let me know if you decide to do it!

Looks like a great morning! I've never seen those shade umbrellas before, that's a pretty thoughtful touch. How fun to do haircuts at the barber shop, definitely something I want to do with my boys at some point.

EMM did sound like it worked well for your group. And you make a good point, the kids are up early anyways! (I had never thought about it like that.)

Glad to hear the breakfast at Cosmis Ray's was pretty good. Like you, I don't hold that restaurant in too high a regard. :rotfl:

What a bummer Splash was down!

First haircuts at Disney are the best! And kudos to the girls for being troopers and doing so well, spending all morning and early afternoon in the parks. That's awesome.

The umbrellas were a first for me too, but i appreciated it them thats for sure! I Highly recommend the haircuts! i am currently trying to figure out how I can convince Dillon is better then BBB for our May trip....

I am going to take all the credit, but it was partly Rob, he was like just book it will we will be up and trying to find something to do, or up and in MK... so you know

Troopers! not going to lie i was pretty impressed!

I'm a little behind- love the girls' AK dresses!

We"ve done some AH and are doing one again in January but only EMM at HS. I think if the boys were younger we would definitely do EMM at MK though! I've heard good things about the breakfast lol.

Yay for the Chicken Little M&G! We saw them in July I think but they were roaming and not really stopping for pictures :(

Thank you! I may go a bit over board with the Disney outfits...

We hit up both EMM this trip, and i honestly loved both but think MK is abut better for us...

Yeah this is one of the reasons we waited, they said after i think 3pm he roams, but i know for sure she was going to want ta picture and autograph so we waited out this heat!

Magic Kingdom nights!

First I forgot to post this in my last update, but i loved this litter certificate Maren got for her First hair cut!

We got back to the Yacht Club and said goodbye to my dad and went to our room to change for the pool. Where Dillon announced she would not be going in the pool because she didn’t want to lose her pixie dust.

Photo of pixie dust we could not ruin... 🤪

So we had settled for some iPad time a snack and laundry. After the snack we went to the shop in the lobby and the lady in the shop asked Dillon if she would like to play a game called finding Dory. She said yes and they hid a paper Dory and played hot and cold till she could find it. Then they gave her and Maren stuffed animals. It was so sweet and real made the day extra special. Major Pixie Dust and these Mickey and Minnies are well loved!

Couldn't even get Maren to give me Mickey for a picture!
DH asked Dillon how much that was assuming I had purchased it and she goes it was no money dad! haha!:rotfl2:

After laundry was done it was time to head back to the parks. Originally we had Via Napoli booked for dinner but after 2 nights in Epcot we thought MK would be better. I had been looking for a 530 dinner so my choices were crystal palace and LTT or the Plaza, which was closer to 6. While I like CP I wasn’t feeling a character meal so I went with LTT which we hadn’t done before. I always think the dinner looks so heavy, but was excited to give it a try.
49278412536_1675db4686.jpg

We got back to the park and head right to LTT we were running about 5 minutes late but still time for a photo! But we were seated rather quickly. I actually really enjoyed this meal. It was a bit heavy for my liking as I expected, but the food was good and I would return, sorry no photos.

I spent sometime grabbing some FP, for rides they weren’t really needed for. We did Small World Dillon was thrilled to finally be on it, as its one of her favorites! The Ariel ride (under the sea? What is this actually called, I should look that up), then we hit up Dumbo were I got the pleasure of riding with both girls, sorry dad!

We then went to the People Mover, Rob had to take a spin when wearing his People Mover inspired shirt!

Then we criss crossed the whole park to ride pirates, Maren was asleep or fussy I forget so just Dillon and I did Pirates, no ride photo cause you cant even see either of us anyway!

It was about 845 and we decided to skip the fireworks and head back, we called a Minnie van and were able to catch the start of the fireworks while we were loading up.

Dillon was extremely disappointed we didn’t hit up splash, the line was long all day and no FPs to be found.... I didn’t have a FP for it for our next MK day.... so we were hoping to score a same day.... or be able to modify for it before then...

Up Next we try out a water park... If i don't injure myself first

  the haircuts at the barber shop! That certificate is adorable.

How sweet of the CMs to do a cute scavenger hunt with them AND give them prizes! And that Minnie is adorable (I'm sure Mickey is too- Maren sure seems to love him lol)!

Wow, that sounds like an awesome CM interaction at the Beach Club gift shop. It's those kind of magical moments that can make a trip feel extra magical. And I love the "how much did those cost us" comment after spotting the new toys. :rotfl2:
Giving up Via Napoli?!?! :sad2::rotfl:
I guess I understand the logic. Glad you were able to find a dinner reservation in the MK and could change your plans to fit what you wanted. Bummer there were no Splash passes available, though!

The Hair cuts were way cute and I am really trying to fit them in again on our next trip, but its so short i am not sure we will have the time!

It was way cute and really was a bit of Pixie dust!

HAHA OMG i totally wrote Beach Club... i feel so silly it was the Yacht club... But you get the idea! Totally a dad moment how much were those things!

Giving up Via Napoli?!?! :sad2::rotfl:

I know so many people think this is a travesty and it probably is. HOWEVER Via Napoli is owned by Patina group (who actually owns alot of the Italian restaurants in the area, among other restaurants). They also own the Italian restaurant we go to some what often by our house. The menus are similar, even if not the same between Via Napoli and our local spot so it always seems to be on the chopping block....

But we did like LTT, so i guess it all worked out!

She was so upset about Splash poor kid!

This is adorable! Happy New Year pixiedust:

Interested to read about your water park visit :) One thing we've never done are the Disney water parks. I'm really not a water park person plus we have a rather big one 10 minutes from our house so the boys have gone there often during the summer. I've asked them a couple times on trips if they want to try one of the water parks but they always say no.

EMM is definitely not for everyone especially with the extra cost, it is not CHEAP! But when you have kids that get up early for the most part anyway, and you can swing the cost I think its worth it! It was for us!
Definitely looks like it was great for you all. Of course no one in my family gets up early so I'm not sure we'd ever see them but great deal for you all. Especially getting out early and avoiding some of the horrible heat.

You be the judge? Scared or not? Either way she loved it!
This is a great picture. She just looks like she's chillin' with a couple of ghosts

This is a brilliant idea!!!!!! I can see why the CMs wanted to talk about it so much

I’m happy we waited it’s a rarer meet, Dillon is way in to characters right now and she was pretty good on the line. My dad sought out some AC, while we did this.

Go Dillon!!!! That's some hard core chicken little love

What an awesome experience. Its things like this that just come out of nowhere and are the moments you remember more than any other.

The Ariel ride (under the sea? What is this actually called, I should look that up)
That is so what I call it too. No clue what the real name is but Ariel ride is clearly sufficient

Happy New Year!!

My Husband and Daughter love the water parks, he kept asking when we could go to a Disney water park, like asking all the time for the last 5 years... so i had it happen, i also am possibly making it happen again in May which i may regret... Or i may not schedule in and they will be upset with me.... But if we go to one this time it would be Typhoon Lagoon.

Definitely looks like it was great for you all. Of course no one in my family gets up early so I'm not sure we'd ever see them but great deal for you all. Especially getting out early and avoiding some of the horrible heat.

haha! It totally worked for us, but i could 100% see it being SO early for some people. I cant wait till we can do night stuff and my kids want to sleep in, but who knows when that will happen, half passed never

This is a great picture. She just looks like she's chillin' with a couple of ghosts

haha i think i may frame it!

Go Dillon!!!! That's some hard core chicken little love

I was rather impressed with her, she didn't even complain!

What an awesome experience. Its things like this that just come out of nowhere and are the moments you remember more than any other.

100% Agree, it was a great memory, i hope Dillon remember is for ever, i am sure Maren wont haha!

That is so what I call it too. No clue what the real name is but Ariel ride is clearly sufficient

haha! love it!

I hope everyone had a great holiday season and a Happy New Year! Been crazy around here, and i don't see it slowing down any time soon! However we do have Disney in just over 4 weeks so there is that!

Water Park Time!

The next day was a semi sleep in day, we had breakfast at 850 at Trattoria al Forno, this was really for me as I love Flynn Ryder.

Of course everyday I was waking everyone up to make it in time for all of our early morning plans and today both girls up before 7! Like what? Today should have been the one sleep in day.

I was able to move up the breakfast to 8:05 so we got ready and head out.. Of course as we are leaving Dillon announces she needs her Ariel ears... so I send everyone on there way and I rush back in and as I’m coming back out I see a boat pulling up, we never take the boats, so I can’t remember the order they go in, and what stop would be next, could i be so lucky to take it across the way to the boardwalk??? As I am reading the sign and walking I legit fall into a planter... that was fun don’t mind me, just wiping off some dust here, not causing a scene at all. After all of that the boat was going to Epcot next or something, i forget, 🤷‍♀️ remember we never take the boat, and i walked.

They are cute ears... but maybe not worth all that!

While they waited for me to arrive Rob snapped some pics for his parents as they got these outfits for the girls, and they did look cute, he made sure to get the wine cabinet in the back ground...

Maren was a bit fussy during this meal, but i was really excited to be here, even if i felt like i didn't really get to enjoy it as much as i would have liked.

We met Flynn Ryder who was pretty funny, Rob made a comment to Dillon to take a picture and she goes mommy wants a picture, and Flynn goes oh now I see while we are really here, you know it! But i think Maren was a fan, too! Holding Hands!! Watch out Rapunzel! Dillon also pointed out my amazing Flynn Magic Band (have i mentioned i love the upgraded Magic Bands?) .

Then we met Rapunzel, and Prince Eric (who Maren wont even get out of her chair for!) and Ariel, who Dillon did show her ears too, so my prior mishap was excused. Ariel did seem to like the little Sebastian on the back, which i do have to say is a very cute detail!

Total Side note here, we are starting to question the characters and i am really going to miss these hugging pics! I hope they don't stop!

I forget what we had, and Dillon is just not a big breakfast person... I did have a bloody Mary which was good, and my food was fine, no food pics.... i mean what did you expect?

After breakfast we headed back to the hotel and got ready to head Blizzard Beach! Full Slow Pass mode here!

I don't think i have ever done a Disney water park, so i was excited to check it out, we picked Blizzard beach because they have a toddler area. We got there and Maren feel asleep as soon as we put her in the stroller.

Dillon had brought 3 pairs of shoes, Merrell, sneakers and jellies, but her jellies turned out to be to small, so we tossed them and got her some flip flops here. We also got a pair for Maren that she will never use, she hated them and now they are two small i am sure. But Dillon loves hers and wears them all the time.

We found a covered area in the back of the toddler area and i stayed behind and relaxed while rob and Dillon went on some slides and rides, and Maren napped. It was really nice and would have only been better if i had a drink, but it was pretty quiet and nice to really feel like i was relaxing in Disney!

They came back a bit later 1130 maybe? Dillon was very excited to tell me about the slides and how much fun it all was. By now Maren was getting up so they went to grab some lunch, we ate and relaxed before Maren did some of the baby slides in the toddler area, Dillon and Rob headed back to the big slides. They ended up just hanging out in the wave pool for about 2 hours!

The toddler/little kids area was great, Maren enjoyed it and so did Dillon when she hung out for a bit. I didn't get to check out any of the other areas this trip, but over all we enjoyed our visit. In May i think we are going to hit up Typhoon Lagoon, I don't want to but Dillon and Rob seem to enjoy it so i will make the sacrifice, maybe! I did find the pool clean overall, and a ton of lifeguards so it wasn't to bad on that front.

Around 220 we headed out of the park, on the way out we did a Mickey tie dye to apparently add to our growing collection? I should round them up and take a picture... maybe in a future update!

Then we met Goofy in his beach wear, no wait which is always nice! We then caught our Minnie van back to the hotel.

Of course we had to take some pictures on our way out! Pretty sure we took some of the same ones when we arrived as well!

We headed back to the hotel to shower and change. A storm was coming in but we had a place to be. We took a short break in the room and got ready to head out for the night.

Up next this was a poor outfit choice!

4 weeks!!!! I had no idea you were going again. How exciting!

We are so similar yet so different. Semi-sleep in and reservation at 850 are diametrically opposed in my brain :P

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: Now this totally sound like something I would do. I am a total klutz and walk into things often in Disney and well just life

This is beautiful. Where did you order it from?

We've only done blizzard once when we could go for free but had a great time. It's a good mix of stuff for little and big kids and those like Dillon inbetween

Of course we had to take some pictures on our way out! Pretty sure we took some of the same ones when we arrived as well!
Had to share a picture of Casey from this same spot way too long ago!!!

Those ears are really cute! But probably not worth falling into a planter for

Sounds like a great breakfast, love the pics!

Glad everyone had a nice time at Blizzard Beach!

Literally me

s I am reading the sign and walking I legit fall into a planter...

Also literally me :rotfl:

they did look cute, he made sure to get the wine cabinet in the back ground...

They look adorable and I was also thinking it was funny that there was all the wine in the background lol

Rob made a comment to Dillon to take a picture and she goes mommy wants a picture, and Flynn goes oh now I see while we are really here, you know it!

She gave you right up!

I've only gone to the Disney water parks on one trip in 2013 but loved Typhoon Lagoon. I keep saying I want to go back to them but the time keeps getting cut for other things lol

4 weeks!!!! I had no idea you were going again. How exciting!

Doing the Princess weekend, and it s quick trip, but got to get use of the AP i purchased!

We are so similar yet so different. Semi-sleep in and reservation at 850 are diametrically opposed in my brain :P

HAHA! i am counting the days till my kids sleep in! Today both up before 6am (this is like a sick joke they play EVERY DAY)... COFFEE send Coffee

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: Now this totally sound like something I would do. I am a total klutz and walk into things often in Disney and well just life

It was so comical and so typical!

This is beautiful. Where did you order it from?

These are from Aloha Ears - i am kinda obsessed with there stuff. It is all interchangeable so we have 2 head bands and a bunch of ears and bows/crowns and Dillon (and me when i am up for it) can mix and match! https://alohaearsdesign.com/

And we're back to being opposites again. I'm all about the food and you're so "no food pics." Pretty sure at a character meal I'd miss the characters over the food :P

I try so hard, but the food comes and i am like OH TIME TO EAT! and forget about the pictures!

Had to share a picture of Casey from this same spot way too long ago!!!

OMG LOVE HER! So cute!

Those ears are really cute! But probably not worth falling into a planter for

Glad everyone had a nice time at Blizzard Beach!

Thanks! Another good day overall! Even if i did fall into a planter haha!:rotfl2:

:rotfl: :rotfl: of course that's how it would go

You know it, always when i need them up they sleep when i want them to sleep they are up.... but right now they are on an up by 6am kick EVERY SINGLE DAY!

They look adorable and I was also thinking it was funny that there was all the wine in the background lol

Oh yeah, i was like did you get a picture, he goes yes and with the wine cabinet in the background for my mom.... :rotfl2:

She gave you right up!

Yeah this girl has zero filter and gives me up all the time! i am in trouble with that one

I've only gone to the Disney water parks on one trip in 2013 but loved Typhoon Lagoon. I keep saying I want to go back to them but the time keeps getting cut for other things lol

Same girl! This would 100% bit be where i picked but Rob really wanted to do a water park, and he gives into me so often i was set on making it happen!
