“Life is Grand, it Yacht to be, we are at Disney! 1/29 New TR link, a question, and this TR is complete!

That meal looks delicious and certainly more than enough to feed 2!
Happiness is just glowing through Andi in the booth photo. She looks so happy :goodvibes
Sounds like a perfect day :)

Our entree was the vegetable enchiladas, we really enjoyed these. It was so much food for the 2 of us. We got a big bowl of black beans and these were so flavorful. I honestly don’t know how 1 person could eat this whole meal, it was a lot of food
I wonder if they gave you extra beans? That is ALOT of beans! We liked it there, we ate there in August also. Just nohting amazing that made me dreamng of a dish. But good.

Tomorrow would be our last day at Disney.
Always so sad.....

I hope the last few days of 2019 are enjoyable and the new decade 2020 will find happiness and many WDW trips for all of us!
Yes!!! I hope for that for us all, too! :goodvibes

We had a nice booth, which you all know, does not happen that often for us!
No it sure doesn't! More like a cramped table by the bathroom, right?! :rotfl2::sad2:

What a lovely evening in Epcot! Too bad it was your last night before the trip was over. Those are always so bittersweet, but you sure made the most of it! :thumbsup2

I love arriving on the monorail and checking out the park some before we stop.
::yes:: Me too!
The boys were worried about missing Soarin FP. They were cutting it close. They didn’t know about the 15 minute grace period and I explained it to them and they were so happy to hear this!
And.... another DISer saves that day.
I think we all have our stories of how we helped or educated others who may not be quite so... knowledgeable.
We do enjoy checking out the aquarium area.
Or being in it...
This weird fish was Andi’s friend!
 Why???
We had a nice booth, which you all know, does not happen that often for us!
Actually, did not know that.
Andi was so excited she smiled so big and ended up squinting!
She looks adorbs. :)
We got a big bowl of black beans and these were so flavorful. I honestly don’t know how 1 person could eat this whole meal,
That bowl was huge! How is anyone supposed to eat all that!?!?!
Our meal and service were two big thumbs up from us this evening.
Good! :)
It was quiet in Epcot this evening which is always a plus!
Nice. :thumbsup2
We did get B1 without even asking, yay!
Perfect.
I won't ride it any other way.
We decided on the red velvet Whoopie pie.
I've actually never had a whoopie pie. At least now I can sorta see what one looks like.
Tomorrow would be our last day at Disney. We would be picked up around 3pm by DME that day.
Booo! Don't go! It's a trap!

Hello Everyone
I hope the last few days of 2019 are enjoyable and the new decade 2020 will find happiness and many WDW trips for all of us!
Happy New Year to you and the family, Caroline!
Andi and I headed to the Seas and spent some time with Nemo and his friends. We do enjoy checking out the aquarium area.
Love the aquarium too, especially the manatees!
Our entree was the vegetable enchiladas, we really enjoyed these. It was so much food for the 2 of us. We got a big bowl of black beans and these were so flavorful. I honestly don’t know how 1 person could eat this whole meal, it was a lot of food. Our meal and service were two big thumbs up from us this evening. We also got to check out the restaurant decor and understood the story we had learned about on the WS tour. It is a beautifully designed restaurant and you definitely would have a great view of Epcot’s night time show from here. It is right on the lake. We ended up leaving a fair amount of food behind, just to much for us.
That meal looks fantastic and is gigantic!! Perfect for splitting even with three people.
The CM boxed it up for us and off we went to ride SE on our way out. We had a nice ride on SE and we then headed out of the park. We said goodbye for now to Epcot!
Sounds like a perfect night at Epcot. I love when the park is not too crowded. :goodvibes

That bowl was for one person.....

Holy Moly, it looked huge! And I love Andi’s big smile.......glad you got a nice booth!

Can‘t believe it’s nearly over again......but look forward to your upcoming day and food too!

wonder if they gave you extra beans? That is ALOT of beans! We liked it there, we ate there in August also. Just nohting amazing that made me dreamng of a dish. But good.
I wonder it was huge! We liked the food, service, and atmosphere here, I think we would go back again someday!
Yes!!! I hope for that for us all, too!
Disney trip’s in the New Year are always fun to look forward too!
No it sure doesn't! More like a cramped table by the bathroom, right?! :rotfl2::sad2:

What a lovely evening in Epcot! Too bad it was your last night before the trip was over. Those are always so bittersweet, but you sure made the most of it!
I know, I dread the cramped tiny table for 2 we usually get!
We had a very nice evening at Epcot, good way to spend our last night!

And.... another DISer saves that day.
I think we all have our stories of how we helped or educated others who may not be quite so... knowledgeable.
For sure, it is fun to assist people with our vast Disney knowledge :mickeyjum
It was weird but this fish came out of the rocks and stared at Andi and followed her around the tank, the CM even noticed and said he doesn’t normally do that!
Actually, did not know that.
Oh yes, we usually get one of the worst tiny little table for 2 at most places!
She looks adorbs.
I agree!
That bowl was huge! How is anyone supposed to eat all that!?!?!
The black beans had a very nice seasoning and tasted very good but really who could eat that whole bowl of beans! I know the beans are cheap but really way to much!
Perfect.
I won't ride it any other way.
B1 is the way to go if you want to have the best experience on Soarin!
I've actually never had a whoopie pie. At least now I can sorta see what one looks like.
This was good, nothing special but at least it was fresh and tasty
Booo! Don't go! It's a trap!
So true, never leave Disney! :hyper:

Happy New Year to you and the family, Caroline!
As to you Susan!
Love the aquarium too, especially the manatees!
This is a must every trip!
That meal looks fantastic and is gigantic!! Perfect for splitting even with three people.
This was surprisingly good, I have seen really mixed reviews and how expensive it is for basic Mexican food, I have to disagree based on our experience
Sounds like a perfect night at Epcot. I love when the park is not too crowded.
It really was and such a treat to navigate and enjoy the park with low crowds!

That bowl was for one person.....

Holy Moly, it looked huge! And I love Andi’s big smile.......glad you got a nice booth!

Can‘t believe it’s nearly over again......but look forward to your upcoming day and food too!
The bowl of beans and rice were huge! Very tasty but way to much food!
Andi does have a big smile, so cute!
No matter how long a trip, unfortunately it does come to end!

Hello Everyone
I am up early on News Year Day and ready to finish up this TR!
We are on our last day at WDW! This was a 10 night trip for us and it still went by quick!
We started the morning making sure we had everything packed and ready to check in at Airport check in. This is such a wonderful perk Disney has the resorts. Some people have asked me if you can use airport check inif you aren’t using the DME, yes you sure can! It is such a time saver once you arrive at the airport. So if Uber or Lyft are your preference no problem, still use airport check in at your Disney Resort!
The check in was easy and quick, we also checked our carry on bags with bell service before we hopped on the monorail! Yay the monorail was running this morning, it literally takes 5 minutes to get to MK when the monorail is up and running!
We arrived right before 9 am at MK and walked in and our chariot was waiting, did we use it, no! How dumb, we just got a picture, maybe next time.
IMG_Jan12020at70155AM.jpg

Our destination was Buzz, which was a walk on, no photo evidence, the pp picture must not have worked that morning.
I know we enjoyed it because we always do :hyper:
We decided to head over to WtP and this was about a 15 minute wait, not bad. This ride also makes me happy!
IMG_Jan12020at70321AM.jpg

We tried to ride Under the Sea with Ariel except it was down.
With this unfortunate event, we decided to eat instead. I wanted to try the Cheshire Cat tail and slushy. We headed over to this kiosk and ordered both. It was nice and quiet in this area. We were able to sit for a few minutes and enjoy our sugary breakfast. I really enjoyed both, the candy Straw was not to our liking so we tossed that.
IMG_Jan12020at70723AM.jpg

With the sugar high, we were giddy and thought IASW was a good idea. The ride was not bad, it is growing on me, adios small world until next time.
IMG_Jan12020at70530AM.jpg

Our first FP was for PPF, this is a must for me as many times as possible, Andi not so much, she tolerates it for her mom.
I said goodbye to Nana and all my other pals on this ride until next time.
IMG_Jan12020at70620AM.jpg

We wondered towards Adventure Land via the Emporium. We looked around in there some before our JC FP. This is another favorite of ours, Andi likes this one more than I do, so I always try to FP at least once a trip. This was a fun cruise, however, our skipper was just average to me, nothing special. Goodbye jungle cruise for now.
IMG_Jan12020at70813AM.jpg

We had time to visit the Tiki Birds before the next FP. This is a nice filler attraction and a way to cool down on these hot days. Bye bye cashmere birds!
IMG_Jan12020at70920AM.jpg

It was time for BTMRR FP, this was fun as usual, always makes me laugh, see ya next time Big Thunder.
IMG_Jan12020at71011AM.jpg

I was able to make a 4th FP for Haunted Mansion. We decided to go in the Hall of Presidents to cool off. It sure was hot otherwise there is no way I can get Andi in this attraction, to boring she claims. We did have a nice cool down in here and it was the first time we saw Donald Trump :sad2:
IMG_Jan12020at71054AM.jpg

We went in Momento Mori for a little while before the HM FP, when we came out the FP line was all the way back to CHH. It was in the hot sun so we made an executive decision and passed on it. Had to say goodbye from afar:wave2:
We made our way back to the Mainstreet and had a look in the Confectionery and bought a few goodies. Andi picked out the skeleton cake pop and Mickey caramel apple to take home.
We had a picture by the pumpkins before saying goodbye to MK.
IMG_Jan12020at72339AM.jpg
Stay tuned for the conclusion in the next post................

Goodbye MK, when I left off we were saying goodbye to MK until next time. Thank goodness next time is 14 days away from today.pixiedust:
Andi and I boarded the trusty and smelly monorail after leaving MK. We were heading to the Poly for a wonderful lunch and treat. Here is happy Andi with her treats, thanks mom!
IMG_Jan12020at71249AM.jpg

We headed to Captain Cooks for lunch. The place was not very busy which was a big plus. I got in line and Andi went to a table. I ordered the Pulled Pork Nachos and Andi wanted the Pan Asian noodles and vegetables. This QS was organized today and I got the buzzer and headed to the table. This QS uses a buzzer to bring your food out to you. This is a plus because you can sit and be served instead of standing forever in a long line.
The Nachos were glorious as usual, I love these and have to get these every trip!
IMG_Jan12020at71339AM.jpg

Andi enjoyed her noodles, way to much for her but I am not giving up my delicious nachos to share another vegetarian dish, no way!
IMG_Jan12020at71436AM.jpg

After the satisfying lunch, we wondered around the lobby and gift shop.
IMG_Jan12020at91428AM.jpg
IMG_Jan12020at91517AM.jpg

It was time to have the last dole whip of the trip.
Pineapple Lanai had raspberry, vanilla, and traditional dole whip. We both had a combination of each. I chose raspberry and vanilla and Andi chose raspberry and pineapple. It is weird looking because they can’t swirl the flavors, :confused3 they have to plop it on top of each other.
IMG_Jan12020at91254AM.jpg

IMG_Jan12020at71552AM.jpg

These tasted very good, we just chilled in the lobby and ate the gluten free, dairy free fake ice cream, which is delicious!
Soon it was time to get back to the GF, we took the monorail over. We gathered up our carry on bags from bell service and waited for the DME, boo! Goodbye Grand!
IMG_Jan12020at71707AM.jpg

Our ride was uneventful, however the airport was packed! I was glad we had TSA precheck. The security screening without it was taking 40-50 minutes, yikes!
We looked around for a little while then settled in for our flight. We usually always fly Delta if the price is right and we did fly Delta this trip. Our flight back home was uneventful yay!
That is it, just like that it is over, another trip in the books!
Some observations from this trip
1. Way more crowded than the past August trips we have done.
2. YC was our favorite resort this trip, mainly because it is updated and we had a great room.
3. Wait times for everything were a lot to handle this trip, like resort check in, rides, guest services, merchandise shops, QS places, transportation, and picture opportunities.
4. MK was so crowded with some not so nice guests and MNSSHP was way to crowded to really enjoy like we use to.
5. Dis meets were plentiful and awesome
6. GE preview was very cool, being a little under the weather did damper this.
7. Majority of the vegetarian food choices I tried were good, best QS is Satuli, worst was Gasparilla Grill. Best table service was Via Napoli and Ale & Compass for food, La Hacienda for service.
8. 2 awesome tours which I highly recommend, The Rhino tour and UnDiscovered Nations in WS.
9. It was hot hot hot and hot need I say more. Andi and I really like the heat so it doesn’t make us to miserable,
10. The CM’s for the most part are just awesome and wonderful! I do see more trash in the parks each trip now and this makes me sad. All in all I absolutely love WDW and will continue to go on trips as long as I am able! I have so many beautiful and wonderful memories of our WDW trips, I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
Thank you so much for reading and commenting. I love hearing from everyone and it does really make my day, especially in this cold winter tundra!
I plan to give a quick update about the January trip on here so stay tuned for that! :wave2:

I wish they had that perk for Canadian travellers!
With the sugar high, we were giddy and thought IASW was a good idea. The ride was not bad, it is growing on me, adios small world until next time.
I actually really love IASW, it has grown on me over the years as well.

The Tiki room is a must do!

Great picture! You must be getting so excited for your January trip coming up quickly.

So glad that you and Andi have made all these beautiful memories together! I am definitely adding those tours to my must do list. I am hoping that my August trip turns into a Mom/son trip as Jack has said he would like check out all the Stars Wars stuff, especially RotR. Fingers crossed! Thanks for sharing another fabulous report, it is always a pleasure to follow along on your adventures! :goodvibes

Sounds like over all a good trip. Thanks for taking the time to share .

I am pretty sure I will do the UnDiscovered Nations tour next trip. I did MVMCP this past trip and was lucky it wasn’t too crowded. Next trip would be a MNSSHP , based on your report and others -thinking it’s a no go. It used to be one of my family’s favorite events .

looking forward to reading your next TR.

It really is great. Although not every airline participates. We found that out a few trips ago.

With the sugar high, we were giddy and thought IASW was a good idea. The ride was not bad, it is growing on me, adios small world until next time.

I love when you get your name. It is weirdly exciting.

The Nachos were glorious as usual, I love these and have to get these every trip!

So good!!!

They do look weird. Kind of funny.

YC was our favorite resort this trip, mainly because it is updated and we had a great room.
We fell in love with the TC as well. It might be our favorite now!

Way more crowded than the past August trips we have done
It had to be partically because of the AP preview?

Dis meets were plentiful and awesome
It was so nice to meet you!!!

I plan to give a quick update about the January trip on here so stay tuned for that! :wave2:
