If we can’t get a reservation for a table at the Ogas cantina in the Star Wars area and we just want to get a drink, can we just walk in without a reservation or do you have to have one even if you just want a drink? And can you take your drink outside of the cantina?

We needed a reservation to get in the door. The whole thing is basically just drinks FYI. Even with a reservation you may just be standing at the bar in a designated spot having a drink (limited to two drinks i think). I did see someone get more than a snack but it was off a secret menu i think ! For real lol. We were fans since we like the theming and didn’t expect a meal or anything.

There's Batuu Bits on the regular menu, basically a cracker/salty snack mix with dip, and a charcuterie plate on the secret side.

I will keep checking. We just want to see it and have a drink there if possible. Thanks for the info

If you arrive at Park Open, you should be able to walk in without an ADR while most Guests are doing the 2 attractions.

Its not your typical bar. As mentioned, you need a reservation just to walk into the place. And when you do have a reservation, it most likely will just be standing room at the bar. The host/hostess literally places you at a 6-8 inch gap at the bar - just enough for you to lean in and order your drink. As far as leaving with your drink, the drinks are served in glassware that are for purchase. If you decide to purchase it, they give you a clean unused one in a box when you're getting ready to leave. If you decide not to purchase it, you're just not charged for the glass. But either way, they'd have to transfer your drink to a different cup before you could leave since the glasses are for sale.

At least half the spots are standing spots. They will not always accommodate a request for a table. The secret menu item (the meats etc) is no longer secret. It was added to the menu recently.

We don't even need a table. We just want to go in order a drink and see what it looks like inside. Seems to be a very popular place.

You’ll be assigned to a specific spot, whether table, standing table, or the bar (which I think is the most fun). When you leave that spot they fill it- so don’t walk around to take a look until you are done with you’re spot. It is popular after the mad morning rush to the rides, and a ton of fun! It’s more fun at the bar if you really get into character and chat up the bartender as if BSO is real. All the CM have a backstory. The cm at the bar have more opportunities to talk since you can chat while they make a drink or have nothing to do for thirty seconds. At the tables you don’t really see your bartender unless they are currently serving you.

OK, I was able to get a Ogas reservation for 3/2 at 2:45 PM, but only for 4 people (there are 6 of us but my wife and I want our daughter, son-in-law, son and his girlfriend to see it for sure, all over 21). I will still keep checking to see if a reservation for 6 ever comes up. Currently it is under my name with 3 guests. Since it is under my name what would I do so the 4 of them can go in (minus me and my wife). Do I need to add their names as the 'guests' on the reservation or leave the 3 spots as 'guests'? Do you have to tap in with your wristband for the reservation or do you just give them your name when you arrive? Can they just give my name for the reservation and will be able to get in or will they require an ID to get in the door with a reservation? Or would I go to the door and tell them those 4 are using the reservation? Just don't know how strict they are on all this. I just want to make sure they get to check it out. Any input would be great.

You just give them the name on the reservation and the number of guests. You don’t tap a wristband and they don’t ask for ID. From what I saw when we were there I wouldn’t be surprised if they let the 6 of you in. Our reservation was for 8:55 pm the last week in October and several walk-ups were allowed to enter the line of people waiting to enter.

I’ve also heard reports that if you go to your reservation and click on “update guests” you may be able to add guests. I haven’t actually done this so maybe someone who has can weigh in.

It really seems to vary. On busy days, you must have an ADR.
I have read reports of others walking up and getting in.
Keep checking. we really enjoyed it when we were there. It was worth the effort. Not your typical bar.
Don't expect much for food as theres not much.
Most tables are standing, including the bar.

I am going as a single for this trip.

can I straddle up to the bar as a bounty hunting loaner and lean over and order a drink?
then just people watch and enjoy the place.....kinda like a regular bar?

You just give your name. Your family can give your name at check-in, and they will all be let in. They don't care who actually enters, as long as its only 4 of them if that's the number the reservation is for.

Also, another thing you can do, is keep checking to see if a reservation for two opens up around the time the rest of your family will be entering. DH and I were able to move our reservation for two around relatively easy, particularly the night before when presumably people cancelled and there were a few time slots for us to choose from.

Its my understanding that you have to have a reservation because they're not operating like a regular bar currently. You can always ask and they will accommodate if they are able to, but I would still try to snag a reservation just in case.

I actually have 2 ADR for Feb already.

Even better! Also keep in mind that there's a time limit there too. Right now, its easier to consider Oga's another attraction rather than a bar/restaurant.
