News Round Up 2020

We already know the ultimate fate of the Jedi Order, the Republic, the capital, Yoda, etc. Personally, I‘d rather learn about what happens next.

The Mandalorian happens after the original film, which would make it an indirect sequel.
Problem with going forward is it seems none of the current cast at this time wants to do anymore Star Wars stuff. I think their plan is probably give it some time and see if they can revisit it later.

REPORT

Saw this posted in a Facebook group - anyone else seeing any reports of reduced busses at Skyliner resorts starting today?

FYI - some more info from someone who called Disney about this:
- will be happening to all Skyliner resorts
- will still have buses every 20-25 minutes in morning before Skyliner open and if/when Skyliner is down

Just got off the phone with Guest Relations (I was on hold for 25 min) she confirmed all Skyliner resorts will have the same situation. Since the Skyliner technically doesn't start running until 7:30am they assured me that bus transportation will be available every 20-25 min to DHS before that, also when the skyliner breaks down

This was bound to happen once they felt they had a handle on the Skyliner. There was no way they were going to spend all that money on the Skyliner and keep the buses going at the same pace. I would say it is unfortunate that they give people absolutely zero warning.

Yup, that's what makes the most sense. Sorry folks - they didn't spend $200 million on a Skyliner not to see savings on the bus system. I'm sure if you complain enough they'll move you over the All-Stars. My guess is they'll be sending out an e-mail to all future guests so that they can't say they didn't warn them prior to arrival.

Just a look at all the movies slated for release in 2020:

03/06: Onward (DIS)
03/27: Mulan (DIS)
05/01: Black Widow (DIS)
05/29: Artemis Fowl (DIS)
06/19: Soul (DIS)
07/24: Jungle Cruise (DIS)
08/14: The One and Only Ivan (DIS)
11/06: The Eternals (DIS)
11/25: Raya and the Last Dragon (DIS)

Is it odd that Raya is scheduled for late November and we haven't even had a teaser trailer yet?

Also notable that there is only one live action remake for this year. Guess they crammed them all into last year.

I'm pretty excited about Onward, Mulan, Jungle Cruise and maybe Raya?

Disney+ (no dates were listed in the article)

Timmy Failure, Mistakes Were Made
Clone Wars
Stargirl
Phineas and Ferb the Movie
Falcon and Winter Soldier

Most excited for Clone Wars and Timmy Failure looks Amazing.

And of course, theme park experiences opening in 2020:

Jan 17 DL Rise of the Resistance
Jan 17 WDW Epcot Awesome Planet, Beauty and the Beast sing a long, Canada Far and Wide
Feb 28 DL Magic Happens daytime parade
Winter WDW Epcot Space 220 Restaurant
Mar 4 WDW DHS Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway
Apr 17 WDW Disney Springs Cirque Du Soleil Drawn to Life (previews Mar 20)
Spring WDW Epcot Harmonious nighttime show
Apr 15 Tokyo DL New Fantasyland
Summer 2020 DL DCA Avengers Campus with Spiderman attraction
Summer 2020 WDW Epcot Ratatouille

I thought I read somewhere that the new Clone Wars series comes out in February. Timmy Failure looks really good.

Yeah they really need to start getting the word out because for people like me I won't be staying at any Skyliner resort again unless it's with a car then my Son has severe sensory and Anxiety issues and won't be caught dead near the Skyliner. At point is it even cost effective for a family. It's sad because we love AOA and he loves POP.

Oh man! My mother-in-law stays at Pop and is scared of heights (won’t go on Peter Pan).
There are still buses, just running less frequently. She can watch the app and head to the bus just before it’s scheduled time.

As others have said, it only makes sense to decrease the frequency of the buses after putting in a brand new transportation system.

Thankful they are still running some buses for people who want/need them.
