Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

You can ask but I don't bother when I can get it myself. Personally I have just kept cups of the cordials from the night before to use in my coffee. Kailua, etc. Just put in coffee cups with lids and save in the room
Thanks, Angi. I will definately give that a try. The cordials are put away in the evening, and not out in the morning are they?

I've yet to see the appeal of the paid FP. We stay CL no matter if it's a short trip or a long one. As long as the CL FP are unmodifiable then we'll never do them. Plus, we always get on all the rides we want with the 3 regular and same day FP.

I agree. And I find it’s easy with just a party of 2 to refresh into a ton of FP without even trying too hard.

I think the paid FPs are worth it if you park hop like we do, going to a new park for dinner and a few rides. That way you can get advance FPs in two parks in a day.

I guess it depends on your touring style. We like to hop that way as well, but we tend to keep our evenings very loose. Sometimes we play FP roulette and go wherever we can get FP on the spot. Sometimes we don’t do rides in the evening and just walk around enjoying the atmosphere. And sometimes we don’t even end up going back to a park after our midday break and decide to chill at the resort, enjoying a drink or having a walk around the grounds. So locking ourselves down like that wouldn’t make sense for us. If they could be modified I would feel better about it. But our plans tend to look more like the pirate code lol.

Yep, we are exactly the same. We play ADR and FP roulette a lot. Even with our 60 day prebooked FP. I have yet to do a single trip where I didn't change at least one day, top to bottom. No matter how much I research and plan things out, something throws kinks in somewhere and we punt plans.

Right. I don't find them out beyond dessert time. As all things, you can ask but somethings aren't kept in the lounge kitchen and they have to go retrieve it from secondary areas. So it does me better to just get what I may want when it's out, where possible, rather than ask. Sometimes it won't work, like with a glass of champagne. But it can work great with other things

Thanks, Angi. I read the CM pour the drinks, but you make it sound like you can help yourself, and fill a coffee cup, rather than a one ounce pour. Is that correct? Take as much as you want when it is out?

This varies by lounge. I do not choose to stay in those where the CM have to serve.

Even before we upgraded to CL we decided to take a slower, more relaxed pace on this trip. Sleeping in more and doing after hours, fitting in more resort days, etc. So that was one of the reasons we decided CL was worth it especially given the discount we got. The extra FP I think would add too much structure for us.

I am with you on flexibility. I think you can cancel them for a refund prior to use.

I will be staying at AKL CL, so don't know which category that falls into. I stayed there twice before, a few years ago, but did not partake then. The cappuccino machine was my thrill then, haha.

We've not stayed CL at AKL in a bit but on our last visit the alcohol was self serve except for beer. Well, they made it be opened before you left with it, so we couldn't store it in the room for later. We like to have one after getting back late sometimes, when the lounge is closed.

Out of curiosity, which lounges require a CM to serve?
It tends to change but there was a list done up not too long ago. I'll try to dig it up
We tend to stick to BWI CL, which I know doesn't serve
GDT is self serve
In the past year we did have short stays at Poly, WL, AKL and CR it was self serve.

I don't know the answer to that. Hopefully someone will come on and answer. A review I read mentioned how small the pours were, and they were limited to 2 per person. She just poured both of hers into one glass.

At AKL CL, cordials are put out with the desserts every evening and they are self pour. They also put everything away (including clearing out the fridge) every evening after 10pm, so if there is something you'd like after that time I recommend grabbing it and putting it in your room fridge. We've done that several times with items such as cookies and milk since we like to enjoy a snack before bed and sometimes we don't get back from the parks in time.

Beer has been completely self serve all week at AKL CL, no opening required as they have at times done in the past.

We will be staying CL at BC in March. This is only our second time and I don't think we did check in "right" the last time. We went to the main desk at which point we were handed over to someone who took us up to CL. Was that the right way to do it? I mean, we did wait in line quite a while, which I'm not opposed to if that's the case, but if there's an easier or more appropriate way, I'd like to know what it is. Plus, the CL stay will be a surprise for my husband so there's a part of me that thinks it would be super cool to just get in the elevator, hit my magic band for CL and have him be like "what's happening?".

The paid FPs work really well for us and make it possible to hit the tier 1 rides in the same day. Our trips are usually short so we try to pack it all in!

On day 1 (a busy Saturday in April), we will start our day in AK and then go to Epcot. With the paid FPs, we will get a morning FOP, test track and soarin. FOP would prob be unavailable at 60 days and we wouldn’t be able to get a Navi FP as well. Of course, we probably couldn’t get the Epcot FPs for those tier 1 rides. For our 4th, 5th reg FPs, we’ll try for dinosaur while in AK and then all of the other rides while at Epcot.

The next day we’re going to HS early to try to get a boarding group. (Ugh! Wish there was a better system). If we don’t get the paid FPs, we can only get 1 tier 1 FP at HS and SDD will likely be unavailable at 60 days... and the park will prob be very crowded in the morning - long lines for everything! With the paid FPs, we can get 4 tier 1 rides (SDD, RnR, Tower, TSM) lined up in the morning. Sounds like SR and the new Mickey ride won’t have FPs so we will already have to wait in long lines for them...

Our last day is our check out day and my daughters bday so we’ll have breakfast and head out slowly so won’t get to Mk til 11. It’ll be great to have 6 headliners lined up for the day for her. We will book the 1st 3 as our reg FPs so we can work on 4th and 5th FPs. Hopefully no waiting in any lines that day. We head to the airport that evening.

We’re coming from NJ for 3 days so we want to make sure we’re able to get on the main rides and fit everything in with our favorite ADRs and make the best use of our time. If we were staying for a week, we prob wouldn’t get the paid FPs as we’d have time to get on everything on have 60+7 days to work with when booking the reg FPs.

Honestly, I do it for my 3 kids. I don’t want them to be disappointed. I personally just like being at Disney and don’t care much about going on rides.

Also, just FYI, you can modify your paid FPs by calling the SS line. Not ideal and availability late in the game will be limited...

That's the way to do it if you aren't greeted by someone standing in the lobby with an iPad. They do this at all times, not just for CL.
You tell whoever it is you first speak to that you are checking in CL. They'll take things from there
