Disney's Club Level (CL) Information & Questions

Wow, that’s really nice. Has anyone else had that from DSs?
I've gotten phone calls with each trip booked at all resorts but never had them offer to stock a fridge.
Matter of fact, the script of the phone calls never changes. I have them in my voice mail and it transcribes them. It's funny to see the wording the same on each one, LOL

We plan to be at rope drop at least 1 hour early so trying to make plans for grabbing something to eat before we leave. May have to stop in Gasparillas.
Maybe plan that the day before you try for the BP you grab a few extra items for breakfast to keep in your room. Then you won't have to stop before heading to HS.

We had Disney signature services contact us when we had booked a deluxe room at WL. They offered to have the refrigerator in the room stocked with drinks upon our arrival. Since you are arriving late you might want to see if they will do that for you. :)

Was the room on a different floor from the lounge? I think I have read a report of that happening before for this reason which makes sense. I’ve never had this offered in all our stays at YC, BWI garden cottag, CR or GF RPC. And the cottage & GF king rooms were on different floors from the lounge. A beverage stocked fridge would have been nice in those rooms.

The deluxe rooms at WL are not on the CL floor. They are located at the farthest end of the WL, closest to the boat dock, and on floors 1-5. The lounge is located on the 7th floor, above the lobby.

Just to clarify (not doubting your post, just making sure) - was it in fact Disney Signature Services who reached out and offered this, or was it the direct WL CL outreach before arrival? I’m personally surprised DSS would offer such a resort specific thing, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the direct WL CL outreach offered it. But I guess anything is possible!

For those reading along, by most accounts WL is pretty much the only CL that currently reaches out directly to guests on a consistent basis in the days leading up to arrival. This happens in addition to any DSS outreach that may or may not have occurred earlier on after making the reservation.

Now that you mention it, I think it was the WL CM that called us. I'll go back and edit my post.
Thanks :)

DH and I have just booked our first ever CL room at AK this summer. We are DVC and it is only for one night just to treat ourselves to a little getaway. We won't be going to the parks because our passes will most likely be blocked out, so will probably just go to DS and shop, or relax at the resort. I have been trying to read through these 1328 pages but it is just overwhelming. Any advice for a first timer would be greatly appreciated. We are 23 years DVC so are used to being on our own for everything when it comes to our room.

  • I am gathering you get nightly turn down service if I am reading correctly? (like going on a Disney cruise)
  • You are free to wander in and out of the lounge throughout the day, but if you would like a 'drink' and they are not out you can request them? How do you do that - is there usually a CM there to ask or do you call someone?
  • Can you bring the food from the lounge back to your room?
  • @Wood Nymph you mentioned they might call to ask about drinks in the fridge in your room. I am guessing you are referring to bottle of water and cans of soda or juice? is that correct?
  • Last - I see some back and forth on tipping. DH is concerned, we have no issues tipping, but have been told by an acquaintance no don't tip at the lounge. We don't want to get CM in trouble, but if we feel we are treated well and want to leave a few dollars is it OK?
Thank you in advance for your help

OK I have to ask What was the BWI garden cottage "discount mishap"? I love the BWI CL and have stayed there many times so I'm just curious.

Welllll....months ago....the powers that be were in MDE, putting in discounts apparently. The story has it that an AP discount was added early and incorrectly and then disappeared in less than an hour. I and others happened to be in MDE when this crazy BWI Garden Cottage discount appeared. It's roughly a $1200 per night room and the discount was like 70%...I think we're paying about $380 per night:)

Needless to say, those of us that got lucky have saved our documentation proving the rate but I also read that someone actually called in to double check and was told they will honor the crazy rate.

AKL is my home resort and we've been lucky enough to stay CL a few times. The best part is that the lounge is on the same floor as your room. Turn down service is hit or miss, and I think it now only happens if you request it. I could be wrong, but that's what we encountered when we were there in 2018. There will be several CMs working in the lounge area, so you should have no issues requesting a drink if the one you'd like isn't out. They are very friendly and usually go out of their way to help you. As for tipping in the lounge, I've never done it, and I'm pretty sure that they're supposed to decline the offer if presented with a tip. Enjoy your stay! I absolutely love everything about that lounge.

I was one of the lucky ones! Staying for 8 nights in April. Still pinching myself to make sure it’ for real! ☺️

That is just wonderful!! I have never stayed in them but we did book them for my son and his girlfriend for a trip a few years back. I know we didn't pay $1,200 a night but we were no where close to $380 either. Very pleased that Disney is honoring it as well. Have a great trip.

We're in April too, 7 nights. We've stayed BWI club many times and can honestly say we wouldn't have booked the Garden Suites without the crazy discount. I'm not sure how we're gonna feel with the lounge being a bit of a hike away but for the $$$, it's worth a try. Hey, it'll be a good stay no matter what!

There is a cm desk just before you enter the lounge area. Ask if turndown available.

There will be cm's in the lounge or back shortly if restocking something. Simply ask for your beer or wine at any time.

I took my food and drinks to my room.

I usually grab what i need for my fridge the first visit and stock my own fridge. Since you moving to dvc maybe grab a few extra. I have often asked and have been offered to do so when moving rooms .

We were at the Wilderness Lodge and it was for non-alcoholic beverages like sodas and waters. :)

We just stayed in one in December and I didn’t mind the walk to the lounge at all. It really wasn’t that bad. I enjoyed being close to the quiet pool and it was so nice and peaceful there. Our next 3 trips we are inside and my husband is happy. He didn't mind the cottages, but likes being closer to the lounge!

Hi there 😊 I just upgraded to AKL club level Savannah view!! So excited!!! What floor are these rooms on? Same floor as the lounge? How are the Savannah views? I've stayed at AKL twice before a long time ago, but never CL. Any tips would be greatly appreciated ☺️

Thank you for sharing! We've got a BWI deluxe room reserved for early December...our annual Christmas trip. Needless to say, right now we're booked at rack rate but will be hoping an AP discount comes our way. Usually the Cottages are discounted too so we'll see what we think in April relative to which room we decide on for December.
