The DisFort's Chit Chat Cafe

Denise,

Here is an easy trick if you use a Windows PC if you have something on your screen (a pic on PhotoBucket perhaps) you want to grab a screen shot of. If you hold the Window key, shift key and the "S" key at the same time, "Snip & Sketch" opens. All you have to do is highlight what you want on the screen while holding the left mouse button down to copy it. Inside your message here, hit CTRL and "V" at the same time to "paste" the screen shot into your message. Like this.

Yes. I haven't looked at PB in a long time.

They may still be there but you may have to pay for a membership now to see them.

If you haven't paid for an annual fee then you likely only have some that are limited or free. You might look at how to pay for a sharing/linking membership from a free membership to gain access to your pix. I've read that when a paid membership lapses, nothing is deleted but access is restricted.

As a PB member, the fee is reasonable to me for the functionality I get in return since I share a lot of pix on my nearly annual WDW vacations.

I gave up on them when they pulled that initial "massive" membership fee. I took it as slap in face.

Of course later they decreased the price significantly when they realized folks weren't going to pay them. Now the Dis is littered with photobucket "ghost pics". Shame really.

With the new upgrade on the Dis it made it much easier to upload pics.

Dis is not the only forum littered with the photobucket ghost pictures. A complete mess.

Chris, So glad Mallory is feeling better. I have to agree with her on the regular water. I don't drink water - don't want rustic pipes lol, but I do drink bottle water only if it is real cold & not much.
Update on Arnold (Grumpy Aggie) All of the biopsy he has had show no cancer only in the left lung. He has stage lung 2B cancer. Arnold will have 5 aggressive radiations. The oncology wants Arnold to do a 2 year trial program. If he can get into this program they said he will never have cancer again. We meet this Friday (2-21) with the Radiation doctor for the details of when this will happen. We are giving God all the praise & the prayers Arnold is getting. Arnold is getting his strength back slowly. So happy for the new camper, the puppy is so cute.
Tiggerdad praying y'all are staying high & dry with the Mississippi raining. How is your co-worker doing?

@friendofeeyore Fingers crossed that Arnold gets into the program. We will keep him in our heart that he can get the best treatment possible. And thank you, we are so excited to start our camping season with the puppy!!

It was a looong drive. Heading to St. Louis area wasn't too bad, we left the house about 6:30, had to stop in Charles Town, WV to pick up our friend and then we were on our way! Thanks to some local information from @Teamubr we chose to take I70-I68-I79-I64 which allowed us to avoid the tolls on I70 and a big road closure in the great STL area.

We made great time and go there to meet the puppies about 7:30 that evening. We got to spend some time with them and they were sooo adorable as puppies always are.

We backtracked about 15 miles from the breeder where we found a good hotel to stay at. We got some appetizers and a couple drinks after we checked in and a long day in the truck. The next morning we picked the puppies up from the breeder and spent another 12 hours driving home. Melissa and Lisa took care of the puppies and they did great. Having not spent much time in the cold winter outside grass and cold made them nervous. Though they did use the puppy pads we packed so at least that way the could go as they needed.

The trip was just long it felt like going home took 10x longer then getting there. And we finally made it back to WV by 11pm that night. We let Ellie and Maggie her littler mate meet the entire pin pack of my bug, plus Lisa's 3 other pins. We spent about 40 minutes letting them aquaint before we had to get going.

There was a lot less barking then we thought and TONS of sniffing before the puppies wanted to run and play! We then took bug and ellie home so we could finally get them settled and rest. Bug seemed indifferent to the puppy at first, but once home was zooming around with the puppy. We let them run for a good hour and then bug was ready for bed and we took ellie up in her little crate. She did ok for half the night then started crying in the crate. Being that it was keeping me up, I waited for her to be quiet for a moment and then let her out to potty. I fell back asleep with her in the bed and she just tucked up like a good pin and stayed there all night. If she continues to be good and wake us when it's potty time, she might just get away with no crate at night. Otherwise, we do crate her during the day and have a walker coming mid day for her as well.

Monday we have off so the dog walker came to meet miss Ellie and Bug. And then we spent most of the day together. Bug may be ok with the puppy, but there is a little jealousy to be seen.

I am waiting to hear how the first walking goes and can't wait to get home to our pups tonight.

Jbrostek, Thank you for the encouraging words. So glad the puppies arrived to your home safely & your family. Nothing is happier to have a sweet puppy/doggie cuddled with you at night. Please keep us informed on all the cute things the puppies do.

I am waiting to hear how the first walking goes and can't wait to get home to our pups tonight.

When we got our new to us Tow Vehicle, teamubr was a gracious host. It was a very long trip out from central PA. Out was not so bad as DW drove some of it. The return trip was a bit harder for me as I had to do all the driving. Glad to hear teamubr gave you a helping hand with the local lay of the land. Super guy.

It was a big help and wished I had more time to ring him up and get a drink. I did most of the driving, and other then the last few hours going home it was not really an issue. Going home we hit rain/snow from Clarksburg, WV pretty much about 30 minutes past Frostburg. That wore me out quickly at night, and M is still not comfortable driving the truck at night.

The puppies are settling into their homes well. Our Ellie is still trying to figure things out, but we are at least getting more consistent with the puppy pad when we don't see the signs of her needing to go out. At 8 weeks old, we will take that and use it to work toward house training.

We are day 3 of the puppy and starting to find a schedule with her. Tonight the girls plan to take me out for my Birthday dinner, they started my morning with a new card and disney travel mug for my coffee. My old one is 9-10 years old and the disney images are pretty much gone.

Happy belated birthday jbrostek!
Chris, still praying for Mallory that she will increase her eating & healing. Can't wait to see everyone in October. We will know tomorrow exactly what type of radiation Arnold will have. All we know is that it will be aggressive treatments.
We are still getting lots of rain in Central Texas, but praying for the folks in Mississippi & hope Tiggerdad's home is OK & of course them also.

We are not flooded here thank goodness. The folks north of us and the state capitol of Jackson are in most trouble.
