I’m pretty sure @Haley R booked Allegient using UR’s, but said she had to call Chase to book. I have Allegient flights from the airport near my house so I remember thinking this was excellent news!
I replied to the OP, but we book lots of flights with allegiant by calling chase. We fly out of Sanford and get nonstop flights to Iowa. We used to fly frontier but they got rid of all of their nonstop flights to Iowa from the Orlando area for some reason. We LOVE having the option to fly allegiant. I’m not sure what we would do without it because it’s so cheap. We will fly at least twice this year to Iowa with allegiant using chase points

I'm not totally celebrating yet but I think I'm getting back into AmEx's good graces - I was instantly approved for the Green card on the 45k/2k incognito offer on top of P2's support link for another 10k (if it tracks ok 🤞) without the pop up!

I tried a couple times last year for a Marriot card and a Hilton card but met the pop up each time. Also during that time AmEx didn't offer me any cards in my existing account like they had been doing before, even when the Green card was relaunched and they did all the increased marketing. At the time I wasn't ready to pay for a MR card so I didn't try but not getting offered cards, even for terrible sign up offers like they had been doing for years before, made me feel like I'd get the pop up there too. But in the last few months I changed my spend on my existing cards and offers started appearing again, so I took a chance.

I did not put any kind of crazy spend on my cards. I did move a reoccurring bill over to one and continued to spend on the other so that 2 out of my 3 cards had a balance every month for a few months. I was going to start putting money on the 3rd card too but a need for a MSR came up before I had a chance to execute. However, in my inexpert option, I fully expect to get a pop up if I were to try for the Marriott or even Hilton card again right now. Each card offer has a threshold for a "good customer" and I doubt I'll make that threshold yet for those cards. But with the ongoing spend to meet this MSR and keeping a charge, no matter how small, on all my existing cards I'm hoping to beat the pop up there too.

So yay, more MR points potentially! And just for you @tink1970 I'm really trying to use them for flights this time. I will resist the urge for HD GC's, even if they're on special
(But if Princess cruises comes back all bets might be off again, sorry!)

Congratulations!! I was checking out gift cards just this morning and decided Home Depot is my best option as sooner or later I'll need something there.

I have a $15 chase offer, but it's not working for Gift Cards. Am I missing something or do you have different offers?
I think most of us are using the Staples offers for Disney giftcards or Prepaid Visa cards (promo from last week I believe). Some on the thread have already received their statement credits, I think it takes 5-8 days or so to credit.

Hard to keep up with the little guy and going back to work.

Miles is doing great but my wife is definitely exhausted. Our 3 year old has been great as well with the transition.

2 Questions....AF hit today on CIP do I need to call? assume I can't chat or secure message to cancel.
Second question I got one of the Staples $30 back on $100 offers. Can that be done online? Anyone have success with online redemption or did everyone do it in store?
Some of us have done online, there is a $1.95 fee on top of the $100, but if you don't have a Staples nearby it's still a great discount. If you shop through RMN they're at 8% back today, although YMMV with it tracking. So far I'm showing my two orders from yesterday as pending.

Congratulations! You can't have a points posting party until you are approved so that is all good!

DH and I have both avoided the pop up for the last year. Other than card we are working on a MSR on we don't have a ton of spend but we have some spend on each and every card. Before I even pay the bill I make sure to make a purchase so any card never has a zero balance. I have also tried to weigh keep spending a decent amount on the most recent cards rather than letting them sit. I know we say Amex likes spend but if that is not possible they really seem to just like the card being scanned...even if it is only for $5 at Target for the entire month. :)

Allegient has nonstop flights to Billings MT from an airport 5 minutes from my house. I have family in Billings, so having the ability to use Chase points to book those flights is wonderful. I’m grateful you shared that information! We’re tentatively planning a trip to Yellowstone summer of ‘21, and I’m planning to spend very little OOP especially now that I know the airfare on Allegient can be paid with points as well. 👍🏻

Mine did exactly that and it worked out beautifully! I'd like to repeat with dd17 when she turns 18yo. Which is why I am closely watching what I add her on as an AU'er to. I got the Bonvoy offer but won't be adding her.
Good point. They’re both AU on my CSP so they’re building credit that way. I don’t want to put myself at risk for the Amex pop-up by adding them as AU and removing them after I get the bonus. Not worth it.

I have been thinking a lot about our upcoming trip to the Maldives and after looking at some possible dates next year, I think that we are, for now, going to go. Looking at pictures and reading reviews of the resort online while making this decision may not have been the best way to make an unbiased decision...

I have yet to use any UR points. So, is it more cost effective to book that way than to cash out and pay allegiant directly? We have been talking about trying allegiant next year. We are thinking of longer trip to Florida and flying into Sanford and renting a car. Then we would have the car to go to Disney and elsewhere in Florida too. We usually go to MCO to take advantage of ME. But we have a local much closer airport that we could fly out of if we didn't mind Allegiant.

The first US casualty has happened, same county as me but I'm in the south and they were in the north. There's also a nursing facility that may have an outbreak, they are waiting for the rest results and the CDC to come in after 2 people have confirmed cases, one a resident and the other a healthcare worker there. Has also put a fire dept station on quarantine because they didn't know what was happening when they were called to the facility. I think it's this type of thing that is why people are worried in the US and preparing.

The store had plenty of bread and paper products. Bath & Body Works had plenty of hand sanitizer. Still not concerned but it's a bit worrisome about the first responders though I imagine that there's already been info passed out to 911 operators, dispatchers etc to make sure the right questions are asked and answers given to prepare them, just hoping they are given the items they need to stay safe.

We have received an extra set of questions to ask on 911 when people call in describing flu like symptoms.

I'm in Nebraska, Camp Ashland is just a few miles away from me. That and a place in TX is where they have been bringing all the quarantined people. People who have confirmed tested positive generally end up coming here to the Nebraska Medical Center National Quarantine Unit.

I'm close to San Antonio, Lack land Air force base is one of the places they are dropping off people to quarantine. They've already released one into the public that tested negative (after 2 tests I believe?), and is now testing positive for Corona. The mayor is p*ssed that the CDC released them. We shall see how this plays out down here.

For travel, I am flying to Chicago next week. I may take some wipes for the plane, but I have no plans to cancel. We also have an Alaska cruise, so far no plans to cancel.

I have been away and trying to catch up on the forum. I have questions regarding using my UR points. I have a CSR with a small stash of points that I am using to book hotels over the summer weekends. My annual date for CSR is at the beginning of the summer. I am thinking I will PC the CSR rather than pay the new increased AF. What would happen if I cancel any of those hotels after I already get rid of my CSR? I also have a CIP and CSP. In fact, I have not transferred my CIP points to the CSR yet because of this reason.

We’ve always used a CSR when booking so it gives us 1.5x for the flights. I know our flights for Christmas last year were much cheaper than if we would’ve cashed the points out.

Targeted 25% promo in my SW account.....same as the last one...earn up to 25k bonus points if 6k RR points posts to your RR account under “credit card” between 4/1 and 6/30.... check your accounts
Thanks, my DH has it on his own account, but its not on mine. The last one my DH had it too but for the bigger spend so I just used my card. I guess I will be using his card a lot more during this promotion period.

DH's 150k Hilton points from his Aspire upgrade offer were in his account as of this morning!

I also see both of our 50k SUBS as earned and pending on next statement in our CIU accounts :)

My gold Amex sub posted today! Really excited to see that in combo with the Amex-Hilton points transfer offer. I found a Hilton I really like for when I visit DS at college, so I’ll move enough over to cover a couple of weekend trips’ worth.

Thanks so much for posting this. I wasn't aware of the MR Hilton transfer bonus. DH had some "orphaned" MRs that I hadn't really figured out a use for since I can't pool his MRs with mine. So I decided to transfer most of his MRs to Hilton to take advantage of the bonus. We will be needing a week's worth of hotel nights in either Glasgow or Edinburgh (depending upon where DD chooses to attend university) this coming September, and there are Hiltons that will works for us in both cities, so these extra points will help!

I’m unsuccessfully trying to convince Dh to go see Harry styles later this year. I said it could be the baby’s first concert and he didn’t like that lol

LOL. I may end up seeing him. Dd has tickets, and she paid for hers, but I paid for the 2nd until she finds someone to go with her. So far, no one wants to put out that much $$, so if no one does, I will be going. He is so dang cute!

I feel like he just gets better and better the older he gets. I’ve been following him ever since one direction started. I think for Dh he only thinks about one direction and it makes him feel less manly lol

By “not working” do you mean GCs are excluded in the terms? Many times it still works, check here first because people will post DPs (data points). For this one, yes GCs are working for Staples offers on Chase cards.

You booked hotels through the UR portal with CSR? If you cancel, URs will go back to that account, which if you PC, will be a CSP. If you PC to a CF, it would go there. No matter. You can transfer all URs to whichever card you prefer. As many times as you wish.
Many of us transfer all URs to the card in our portfolio with highest redemption rate. For me that is CSR, next would be CSP or CIP. My husband and I have 7 UR cards between us. All of the URs earned on any of those cards get transferred to DHs CSR. If we got rid of that card, or PCd it, I would simply transfer all the URs on the CSR to my CIP, which has the next highest redemption rate.

I follow the link from Chase and it gives a coupon code for the cart. With Disney cards in the cart it says I have no eligible items. Fine print on the offer has gift cards excluded.
